From Reverbnation.com:

"SILVERGUN is an American ROCK BAND formed in Dallas, Texas, December 2012. Bands that influenced SILVERGUN .. Mötley Crüe, SLAUGHTER, Warrant, KISS, Aerosmith, Queen, Van Halen, ZEBRA and AC/DC. Following in the footsteps of those kind of great American Rock Bands isn't that easy.. But when you hear the lead vocals come screeching out of Shannon Cobb with lyrics about women and whiskey it makes you think .. Am I really listening to a new rock band?

A rare mixture of style, swagger and charisma is what a Rock Frontman needs to possess and Shannon hits all three and more. Lead singers like Shannon Cobb is what made rock and roll what it is today. This band reaches back to the roots of Rock and it shows up in each and every song. Writing rock songs that are fun , appealing and .. Well actually the word I am looking for is “Kickass” isn’t the easiest thing to do because you can have the greatest front man in the world but you must have the lyrics and music to back it up. Add SILVERGUN’s founder, lead guitarist, Darren "DPaul" Wise.

DPaul is known for shredding a guitar and best known for The Drew Pearson TV Show Band on FOX Sports & WAR of ROCK TV. He has shared the same stage with Vince Neil of Motley Crue, played alongside lick for lick with Mark Slaughter from SLAUGHTER, worked with one of rock's great businessmen, Mr. Dana Strum and the list goes on and on .. DPaul is an exceptional songwriter with his work being featured in several major motion pictures including Final Recourse and Hail Mary The Roger Staubach and Drew Pearson Dallas Cowboy Story. From New Orleans, LA originally and currently resides in the heart of Dallas Texas and is a frequent visitor professionally and as a fan in The Deep Ellum Music Scene. If you listen real close you can hear DPaul’s deep musical roots in blues, rock, and jazz. He was influenced by the work of artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, B.B. King, Carlos Santana, as well as Motley Crue, AC/DC and of course Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan.

Lead singer (Check) Lead Guitarist (Check) Kickass lyrics and music ( Double Check)… Now Drums and Bass.
Known for the speed, power, innovation and precision of his drumming he is considered one of the most dangerous drummers in the region. Left hander skin man Michael Gray joined the group and has history with DPaul Wise.
Shannon recruited Lee Autry to play bass. The two were in another band together before SILVERGUN. This turned out to be a good ROCK fit. The chemistry at their very first SILVERGUN rehearsal was undeniable. Lee was added to the roster and SILVERGUN was complete.

The band launched itself on reverbnation on 5/19/13 and went organically from #687 to top 20 rock bands in Dallas within 4 days. This caught the attention of movie producer in Los Angeles and their very first single “Did it for the money” was signed to a major motion picture starring Chazz Palminteri, Tia Carrere and Teri Polo the film Final Recourse is slated to be released in late 2013."

    • I wonder what control they have over the releases? That have promoted the BMG individual releases. The 2009 reissues were by original label, EMI. And this boxset seems weird being issued by Cherry Red. And I have not seen the bands social media promote it at all. I wonder if the reason the BMG ones were lacking in the bonus tracks from the previous reissue was EMI holding onto the rights, but have now allowed Cherry Red to release them. I know EMI used to be the distributer for Cherry Red, so they may be more forthcoming with the material.
    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
