Swazi
South Africa isn't exactly the birth land of Melodic Rock music, but has come up with quite a few interesting bands so far, i.e. Stingray, Rabbitt, Trevor Rabin, Circus, Ballyhoo, Coleske, etc. I would like to recommend to you another one and that is Off The Edge, a band that was founded in the early 80's and is still active today. They have already released a number of albums, except their debut (yet) all of them in CD format. The vocals are fantastic, most of them female-fronted (different singers due to a few line-up changes), but "Site under Construction" features Clint Cunningham. Awesome ! Another trademark are the excellent guitars and the great melodies. Have a look here: Off The Edge website If you are interested I'd advise you to contact their guitarist Peter Hanmer (phanmer@mweb.co.za). You will not be disappointed ! Jeff
Just popped out there real quick to check it out and only listened to that Cast In Stone, P1 instrumental and I like it. Note to self to get back out there for more samples.

Swazi
So far I have heard "Unfinished Business" (female-fronted) and "Site under Construction". Both are great and highly recommended. I have just started with "Just another Band". I forgot to mention that the CD's look and sound superb, true for production, artwork and booklets.
