I dug out the Greatest hits when i hit the highway few weeks ago. Sang the entire time!

Very sad. I was just talking about Cold Chisel last night with a mate as we were watching Ian Moss as a special guest on RockWiz. I didn't realise Steve played such a big part in the songwriting (Flame Trees too). That will always be one of my favourite songs.

I'm sure he made a healthy living from writing "When The War Is Over"....covered by LRB and Uriah Heep plus about 35 Australian Idol contestants lol

Sad news, he wrote two of my favourite songs - When The War Is Over and Flame Trees.

I thought that name sounded familar. I picked up a sealed 2 cd awhile back called The last Wave of Summer. Since I wasnt sure what I had and didnt see it in the HH database I never listened to it.

 

Ive had many offers on it(from Australia) but I dont ship out of the USA anymore.

That's a tough one....I haven't heard that album so I can't comment.

 

Very hard to think of a comparison for Chisel sorry.

 

I guess it's like tyring to find a comparison for King's X.
