so after the Company Of Strangers cd came this pile, I mean album. they go from great to "what is this about" way too many covers for a band of this talent to be doing and it was a strange mix of covers at that. don't get me wrong, there are a few good songs here but I guess the expectations were pretty high.

Yeah, just hearing the samples, the covers don't impress me one little bit {Simply :wtf: did they do that for  } but it's the other material I desperately want !!!

Okay,I've gotta' say the "Untold" material on this I love and was actually very surprised how good it really is.....Shit Robert Hart is bloody good

Now the "Told" material and I went into this with the blinkers off and an open mind and a couple of them very much suprised me considering two of them are my two favorite  Bad Company songs:

Oh Atlanta is actually pretty good.

Ready For Love is listenable but nothing more.

Can't Get Enough....For the love of God....What were they thinking :lame:

Silver Blue And Gold is also pretty good.

Shooting Star...Liked the "crunchy guitar sound" halfway through the song but otherwise this is a song that should just be left alone. It boarders on sacrilege tampering in any way with this song.

Simple Man is probably my second favourite  Bad Company song and this version I also love....Very Impressed with this one.

Weep No More....Again listenable but nothing more.

Have you also noticed anyone who has this album, that after about 30 seconds at the completion of track 14, there is about a minute of audio of the Band mucking around in the studio that is pretty funny.

Anyway, I really like the album and this is another one that shits all over that wanker Howe and anything he did with them <_< even though I would have much preferred it to have been all new material !!!!!

    • [MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY] We wish to inform you that delayed gratification is often more satisfying for those with the personal fortitude to accept it. Unfortunately, a minor package assembly issue on the RITE HERE RITE NOW Blu-Ray/4K/DVD was detected at the plant and promptly addressed. However, it did cause a short delay in production that now requires a release date one week later than we had initially planned for. So RITE HERE RITE NOW will officially and fittingly be released on Friday, the 13th of December. One additional week is a short speed bump on the road to eternal film salvation.   Considering the date, I would guess this is intentional rather than an actual issue with the packaging. Good marketing for them.
    • I wouldn't consider myself even a passing fan whatsoever, but I always liked that 'Gone Away' song and this was one of the bands everyone was into when I was growing up, so if nothing else I have a quick scan of their new stuff. No surprise I didn't like it at all - very Offspring, thankfully, I guess, for their fans.  That first song is my favourite on the album, along with 'The Fall Guy.' But neither were keepers for me.  And I recently saw an interview with their ex-drummer who got dismissed during covid because he didn't take the vaccine, so I added another layer of dislike onto how I felt about the band already.
    • Yeah I guess it’s a little different for physical CD collectors, but even still, stuff can happen in four weeks. In the world of streaming, especially, there could still be half a dozen notable albums to come this year. I don’t know what they could be as I keep no track at all of upcoming albums, so I never know what’s still to come, which could be anything.    I guess if you’re a meticulous planner and are fully aware of every single new release you might be interested in, and there’s no more due this year - which is probably exactly what this Brendan dude is - no harm in releasing the list.
    • She came out with in New Romantic era, like Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran Her father, Marty, had big hits in early sixties
    • I think I pretty much have my top ten list, but seeing as I have been tracking it through the year rather than leaving it to the end as normal, I am not sure it will change being that I don't really have more purchases lined up. But being that this year I have really gone wild on filling back catalogue gaps, I may pick up something I missed from this year and that will upset the apple cart ha ha
    • Whoah this is catchy!
    • Calling for you, Emaheeval & Gone bad on the debut Widowmaker album were all Desperado songs. Of course the Widowmaker debut was released before Desperado's album finally got a release even though it was recorded after. The thing that always made me laugh was that when it was first released as Bloodied but unbowed with three extra tracks to what was the original planned tracklist, I bought it from Dee Sniders website, so was fully endorsed by Dee. But years later when Deadline released it under its original name, Ace, without the three extra songs, Dee claimed it had never been released before ... selective memory?
