Torino - 'Rock it'

Thanks to Jez, I finally got an original copy of this CD. It's not amazing, but I've always liked it and wanted it to have a place in my collection. There's a few songs I just really dig on it. BUT, I have to ask, does anyone know the story behind the production job on this CD? I would argue that it is possibly the worst-produced CD I have ever heard in my entire life. So how the hell did this get released sounding like this? I see it's produced by the band. But did the band and label both suffer from a mass case of broken ears at the time?

Shame, could have been a pretty damn good disc, this one.

Their debut album 'Customized' was so good, albeit a bit weak production wise and then they released this pile of shite. Not only does it sound bad (although I have heard worse to be honest), I can't think of one single track on here that I like, or anything else about the whole mess. How a band can release something so good one minute then produce this mess the next is a complete mystery. One, of if not THE worst Brit melodic rock album of all time and there has been some dross released over the years. Thankfully it is now out of the country ;)

 I feel sorry for the poor bastard who ended up with that piece of sh- oh... :(

I like the 'Seven mountains' and 'One in a million' tunes, and even 'Dance all night' is kind of cool in a corny way. Overall, I don't actually dislike any of the songs but the sound quality makes it sound so amatuer. Either way, pick of the album for me is 'Baby Blue', which I think is a great track.

Would love to track down a hard copy of the debut.

Mate - I noticed in your comments on the main pages that you liked a few songs from it, otherwise I seriously would have tried to talk you out of it and that is the gods honest. ;)

 Yeah, it's cool. I knew exactly what I was getting... except maybe just hoping the CDR I had had been copied a few too many times and surely the production wasn't really that bad... but it was. Seriously content I have the CD in my collection, and happy to part with what I did in return for it. :)
