Error message when submitting a CD

Recommended Posts

When I hit the "Add CD" button, a white page opens up with the text "no file found for verification".

Has something changed ? (the field "Verify Image above" is new) Am I doing something wrong ??

Thanks for feedback !

I just tried it and it worked fine for me here. Reload the submission page so it regenerates the confirmation image and try again...

OK, thanks ! It worked. It had to do with this image verification.

Uhmmm, sorry Dan, but this error is quite frustrating... I had to re-submit both albums twice :pc:

For the second cd, I reloaded the submission page once again and it regenerated a new confirmation image but when I tried to add it I got the same message: "no file found for verification"! I had to copy&paste all data to Notepad and then copy&paste them once again in a new re-reloaded submission page.

It's a matter of time (obviously, a second attempt with saved data is faster than the first one)? A memory/cache problem? A "bug"? Or maybe, I'm too stupid to do it correctly (very likely :P )? And I'm sure I entered the correct code... :wtf:

Thanks for your help!

Did you at any point leave the page and come back and try to resubmit?

Did you spend a long time typing in the data on any page (like more than 5 minutes)?

What I did:

For album n. 1, my first attempt after the "no file found for verification" was: hit browser's "back" button, check the code and click again "add CD", with the same negative result. Then, I simply reloaded the page and a new code was generated. I entered all data and this time all went OK.

For album n. 2 (right after album n. 1): to tell the truth, I don't remember (sorry!) if I simply pressed the "continue" button and then the "Submit CDs to HH", or if I hit the browser's "back" button and then "Submit CDs to HH"... All I know is that the code was the same as the last one (for album n. 1). At that point, I thought it was better to reload the page and to have a brand new code (bad idea?), but after submitting the cd I had once again the "no file found for verification" message.

Last, yes I spent more than 5 minutes typing in the data: I am not a fast typist and I always try to add all musicians involved (additional players, guests, backing vocalists, and so on) and running times for each tracks. For some new or rare releases I also have to check all data on several other websites (ebay, webzines, official band homepages, and so on). This means that I usually spend a lot of time for each submission :)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your answer,

But i have another question, after getting the CD Submitted! screen, i hit continue and got this

Not Found

The requested URL /cgi-bin/submission.cgi was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.heavensmetal.com Port 80

It's that good? i think the problem is that the link should be linked to http://www.heavensmetal.com/cgi-bin/submission9.cgi with the 9

Well take care you guys

    • Good safe and well with the footage I've seen on news here in Australia it must be scary.
    • I can tell you that at the very least, there are people from FEMA working with some of the local businesses (my employer included) as far as looking at what aid is available to them. On the flip side, I've heard that one of the FEMA directors "got an attitude" with a few folks in the Asheville area and got popped in the mouth. I can't confirm that, just a story that's making the rounds.
    • Glad you and yours are ok Mike. There's been a lot of buzz on social media about the LACK of response from FEMA and the current admin. Have you seen or heard anything on the ground one way or the other?
    • Not sure if anyone has noticed my absence over the last 10 days, but I've only been able to sign in a few times from work over the course of that period. As some of you may know, on Friday, September 27th, Hurricane Helene slammed into western North Carolina and absolutely devastated this area, leveling entire towns in its path. In my 52 years on this planet, I've never seen destruction like this with my own eyes.  While my home and property were spared any major problems, our road looked like a damn warzone with all the trees and powerlines down. We were literally trapped like rats in a maze for several days, as even though some good samaritans were able to cut their way through the downed trees so we could leave the neighborhood, all roads leading out of this area were closed off, either due to trees and lines down, or due to flooding.   I was out of work for six days, as my employer had no power. We had no power here at the house for 9 days, with it being restored late yesterday evening. We lost several hundred dollars worth of food that thawed out from our fridge and freezers. No hot water after day one, no cell signal for several days, no stores or restaurants open for several days... If it sounds like I'm complaining, I assure you, I am not. I am grateful. My family and friends are blessed, as we're all pretty much back up and running now. While there was some severe flooding here in Morganton just around two miles from my house, overall, it was MILD around here. Once you drive a mere 20 miles up the road to a little town called Old Fort in McDowell County, and everything west from there, it is exponentially worse. Huge chunks of Asheville under water, Chimney Rock literally wiped off the map, Spruce Pine damn near wiped away, small towns with no communication to the outside world with people struggling. It is BAD here in Western NC, and it's going to take a LONG time for things to get back to some semblance of normal for ALOT of people.  I just felt the need to post and let anyone who might have noticed I was MIA that I am fine, but that alot of good people are not. Please keep western North Carolina in your thoughts and prayers, and if that's not your thing, drink one for all of us tonight. Here are a few links that I've shared over the last week on FB that show the devastation around here... https://fb.watch/v331QebVRJ/ https://www.facebook.com/100067755911039/videos/1069274148086583/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/ER9b6tv8oj84QuWb/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/9MpnKZUAx4m5oy3y/ All these aerial shots are from around 1-2 miles from my house: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/vux5WpAqeMDcNMhS/ https://fb.watch/v33x13dnTf/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/V6RPz7HiiMhrBsfn/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/vvEuMCm7We6fitZ9/ https://www.facebook.com/share/v/jE1utxkfNLeKEM9S/ Park Rangers in Chimney Rock managed to get the flag raised up again...
    • I've got a solid top 3 at this point.  At least for me, these 3 are heads and shoulders above everything else: 1.  Kissin' Dynamite 2.  Eclipse 3.  Maverick After that, it's really a hodgepodge of stuff.  New Roses, Daughtry (Only an EP but digging it), Collateral, Sebastian Bach, Judas Priest, Nestor, End Machine.  I'd probably put them in about that order at the moment.
    • So I was just looking at the new releases I bought from this year, and while there are some new additions to expand from the top 5 I posted earlier this year, to a top 10, all the stuff in my original list are still in the top 10 (although obvs with three months to go, the ones near the bottom could be usurped). Anyway as of now, this is where I am at: 1.       Judas Priest 2.       The Warning 3.       Nek! 4.       Rolling Quartz 5.       Band Maid 6.       April Art 7.       Lipz 8.       Sebastian Bach 9.       Mick Mars 10.   Durbin
    • I to used see them a few times at the Middle as well. With local chapter of the Hells Angels at front bar. Not much a Screaming Jets fan, so I didn't watch them with Gleeson' The guy in front now, was their recent drummer before they put out in front Those first five albums are classics
    • My brother was playing some of this guy's stuff a few months ago. I only now got around to checking it out for myself. Pretty fuckin' good!
    • Seems these guys are no more   https://sleazeroxx.com/r-i-p-cobrakill-lead-guitarist-randy-white-announces-band-no-longer-exists/
