  1. Since I saw Rolling Stones' stupid List of 100 Greatest Guitar Players several years ago, I already lost confidence in lists like this. Thank you Rolling Stones.
  2. That's what I'm afraid of. I really have to hear that crunch from the guitar. Thanks.
  3. Anyone here would like to put their 2 cents on the VOGEN - Berlin Wall album? I would really appreciate it. I'll be checking the data base. Thanks!
  4. THE BLOODY STOOLS - Meet The Bloody Stools (still in its original blister pack! but man! its $26! - expensive for me)
  5. BROTHERS THE BAND - S/T MIKAEL ERLANDSSON - S/T (THANKS! Whiplash1972) PEACE DOGS - cloudwatchers jubilee (another AB, Canada indie hard rock band - now this one is much more better)
  6. do you think thats worse than when people rite sentences without any punctuation at all which is like really ridiculous and they need to learn to put full stops and commas and shit in as its basics that you learn at skool though i do think people who use caps lock all the time are just trying to get their stupid argument across more than others but its very annoying and those people should go on a computer course before theyre allowed to interract with other humans oh by the way i have like 10000 silver pressed discs have i mentioned that I'd take those people who don't use any punctuation than those putting on comments that starts off in English then quiza de los mas raros discos que exista la verdad tengo una copia no de tan buena calidad pero se deja escuchar que es lo que vale, Laurence es un Gran guitarrista esa es su virtud y estuvo antes en Stampede y despues con UFO y Grand Slam, ahora en esta su unica placa como solista es mas orientado al AOR que Hard Rock.
  7. Nelson, howw'sthe rest of that Young Saints? Really dug that video tune you posted a while back. Terry, I like most of the songs off the CD. Though there are probably only 2 or 3 songs that are as good as Live for Today, I'd say that it was worth the $4.00 that I paid for that.
  8. Finally got the YOUNG SAINTS CD and it's very enjoyable. The reason for my inquiries was that I don't want to discover another band that has the "looks" but sounds like the Goo Goo Dolls or Soul Asylum. I would like to know what I'm getting first before purchasing. The problem for me is still cash. I don't have that much money to spend on some CDs that will only gather dust in my collection. I don't care if its not HH as long as I enjoy it. I responded to the thread about non-hh albums that we enjoy and those are the albums that bought knowing that they definitely don't rock (Cake, Elton John, Casting Crown - CC doesn't belong here). Alternative bands like Goo Goo Dolls and Soul Asylum, I absolutely don't like. Just a waste of money for me. I've even bought an indie from eBay with the description of "indie hard rock" but when I got it, it was definitely hard rock but on the alternative side. And with that Lol Tolhurst band PRESENCE with an AOR sounding first song but 9/10 of the album turned out to be New Wave. And about that second band EVENTIDE, zacharyamelie was generous in his praise in saying that "...is also good". Nothing good at all in that band. I hate the whole CD.
  9. BIG BANG - Rockin' The Galaxy (Edmonton, AB hard rock band) STEVE MORSE BAND - The Introduction YOUNG SAINTS - S/T
  10. BURNING RAIN - S/T (Absolutely ROCKS!) EVENTIDE - Things Change (finally gave in and bought this) STRAWMAN - S/T
  11. I found these band's CDs in my favorite CD and Game Store but they don't have a listening station. I looked at the band pics and they look cool but I don't want to make another mistake like I did with the PRESENSE "Inside" CD in which the band has this cool rocker look but the music is new wave. I would like to know if these bands are heavyharmonies materials. And additional info would be appreciated YOUNG SAINTS: EVENTIDE
  12. But for $2 Roxx Gang "Things You've Never Done Before", regardless of the glitches its still was a very good buy. And you wrote that its in absolute mint, very good buy indeed.
  13. WING N' A PRAYER - Another Day (this is the one: http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=20014) PRESENCE - Inside (though the looks of the musicians, you'll say that they're an AOR/Hard Rock band but be forwarned if buying this CD, this is the band that Lol Tolhurst of the Cure formed after leaving his former band. But quite good, actually)
  14. WOW!!! I think this thread was a good idea. Looking at the pictures you guys posted made me a little excited with demos. I remember that "MAGICAL" feeling of seeing unknown names in the Hard Rock/AOR/Heavy Metal genre here in Heavy Harmonies when I first discovered this site. Made me want to seek out some more of these obscure demos. Keep on posting those pictures, guys!
  15. I used to have this one in cassette. Too weird for me.
  16. With all our discussion, sale and trade about hard-to-find Hard Rock/AOR/Heavy Metal CDs, is there still anyone here who's VERY MUCH into Demo Tapes (of course aside from having your trembling hands on No Life 'Til Leather)? I have 2 in my possession. I still check out Metal Treasures, read the articles there on their demo tapes section but still not "excited enough" about them. Does anyone still seek them or at least hold on to them?
  17. Since I just bought it and loved it immensely: TERRELL - On The Wings Of Dirty Angels and the CD that I thought would pull me out of my hair band craziness: THE MEN - S/T
  18. Oh, c'mon Dan! I was very sorry that I didn't spend that much in Metal Haven in Chicago the last time I was there.
  19. TERRELL- On The Wings Of Dirty Angels (1990) (EXCELLENT!!!)
  20. Happiness is finding all of these in the mailbox all at the same time: SLAMMIN' GLADYS - S/T (courtesy of staryder1 - Thanks James!) YLD - Window Shopping In Fools Paradise (thanks Terry!) SOUND TRIP - S/T (from eBay) TATTOOED LOVE BOYS - Bleeding Hearts and Needle Marks JOKER - S/T (Brazil) EARTHSHAKER - S/T WICKED ANGEL - Saints & Sinners (all last four from a trade)
  21. So, there it was again! There was the line "World Championship". Yeah, World Champion in a game where there is only one country playing in. Grand Illussions.
  22. Billy Joel - Greatest Hits Elton John - Greatest Hits Casting Crowns - Lifesong Dawson's Creek - Songs from... Cake - Fashion Nugget The Police - Every Breath You Take (The Singles) Kutless - Strong Tower Jaci Velasquez - Heavenly Place Chris Tomlin - See The Morning
  23. Yes! Excellent vintage photos & clips indeed. Though I may not say that GET THRASHED was excellently made, it is still waaaaay far better than the HOLLYWOOD ROCKS DVD (I'll take any chance I get to "thrash" that DVD which was very, extremely, poorly made. I really hated that!)
  24. THE LAW - S/T TRICK OR TREAT - OST and a cassette that the nice lady at the counter didn't let me pay for: KILLING TIME - This Ain't Heaven... (1989) (demo?)(this is a totally different from the Australian band)
