  1. Just what the character was missing - an air of foppish, public school charm
  2. Rain King - Counting Crows
  3. DESTROY, Erase, Improve - Meshuggah Or, if you want to go back a few posts, The Wildhearts Must Be DESTROYED - The Wildhearts
  4. They should be...that movie was awesome, as long as you like extremely gory films. I don't mind gore ... so long as it's a decent story ... nothing worse than a film that relies on buckets of blood with nothing to back it up ...
  5. Why would you do that to yourself?
  6. Off to see The Evil Dead over the weekend ... my expectations aren't high ...
  7. I knew I shouldn't have limited this to 15 tracks ... *rolls eyes* ... anyway: Crazy Train Mr Crowley Diary of A Madman Over the Mountain Bark at The Moon Rock ā€˜nā€™ Roll Rebel Slow Down The Ultimate Sin Miracle Man Bloodbath in Paradise Demon Alcohol Mr. Tinkertrain No More Tears Hellraiser Perry Mason ... I await the howls of derision ...
  8. Me an' the boy JamesEagle were discussing the 'double O' yesterday, with neither one of us being able to agree on what songs would make it onto a truly great Ozzy compilation ... 15 tracks ... all killer, no filler ... away you go ...
  9. Karnak Seti: Scars Of Your Decay (reminds me a bit of Arch Enemy - JamesEagle would probably approve ) Monsterworks: The God Album
  10. Call me a bitter old cynic if you like, but isn't the timing of the recent news about Ozzy's continuing 'problems' just a little bit too ... um ... convenient? It's interesting to see how every news item about the lastest saga to hit the Osbourne household makes mention of the fact that there's a new Sabbath abum on the way ...
  11. Don't you like 'Endgame' ? I thought judging by your heavier taste, you'll like it, because some has said it's very close to RIP I'm with the JE on this one, Youthanasia was the last truly consistent album that Megadeth put out ... the others have had flashes of brilliance, but nothing that makes me want to play the whole album over and over again ... Endgame came close, but I think the last truly GREAT Megadeth album has been and gone. Of course, ever their WORST album in recent years is better than the shite being put out by Dave's former employers ...
  12. Yep, what a waste of time and effort. There are loads of really good comics (and novels) out there that haven't been made into films, so why bother 'rebooting' one that is already a decent film? Or what about remaking some of the ones that have been completely f***ed up, like 'A History of Violence', 'Spawn' or 'Ghost Rider'? Constantine ... with Sean Bean in the title role. I think even Hugh Grant would make a better John Constantine than Keanu Reeves
  13. What everyone else has said ... and then some. The original film was pretty good ... why fix what ain't broke? Of course, if Hollywood would like to re-do any of the sequels and make THEM into decent films ...
  14. We watched The Hangover and The Hangover - Part 2 over the weekend ... the first film was hilarious ... thought the second one had some very funny scenes, but didn't quite match up to the first film ...
  15. Looks ridiculous! Watched The Hunger Games last night. Really enjoyed it, nice idea and a good film. We watched that a few weeks back - I had grave misgivings, but I really enjoyed it (even if I did keep thinking of 'The Running Man' every now and then!)
  16. I got into this band through 'Fake' and 'Lights Out' ... well worth a listen if you want to avoid the bog-standard modern-metal being served up by the Romeo Must Avenge My Valentine's Death Punch crowd ...
  17. Like I said earlier, I'm not much of an 'Ozzy-era' fan, but I want this album to be great ... the Sabbath name/legacy has been through the mill with all the reunion false-starts, cock-ups and 'Ozzy back off the wagon' disasters of recent years, and it would be a real shame if this turned out to be another damp squib ... the Heaven and Hell material proved that there was still life in one version of the old dog!
  18. Nope, not impressed with that ... takes forever to get anywhere ...
  19. No:4 is Queensryche - Empire Is No:5 Glen Frey? The Heat Is On? No:7 Sammy Hagar - Mas Tequila
  20. Miss Crazy? I think I went out with her ...
  21. Of COURSE number 4 is Allentown! Shoulda got that ...
  22. That Slade album is massively under-rated, if you ask me ... Absolutely..'My Oh My' and 'Run Runaway' are classics. I think the next one 'Rogues Gallery' (and to a lesser extent 'You Boys Make Big Noize') are even more underrated and sees them at their absolute peak. Who would have ever thought.. Slade go AOR!! i've been playing it this morning and it has some absolutely brilliant tracks on it 'Hey Ho Wish You Well', 'Little Sheila', 'Myzterious Myzter Jones', 'All Join Hands', 'Waking On Water.Running On Alcohol'. fantastic tunes. One of their best albums imo. Slade - Rogues Gallery Todd Rundgren - No World Order Todd Rundgren - The Hermit Of Mink Hollow Tubes - The Completion Backward principle I had both 'The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome' and 'Rogues Gallery' on good old vinyl, and loved them both ... Slade have done some brilliant songs over the years ...
  23. I'll give it a go ... after all, it IS Megadeth ...
