I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say I despise a particular band's canon, but there are certainly some bands that I think are great on one album and patchy across the rest of their discography ...

1? Seriously? They were never a huge favourite of mine, but I can think of a handful of great songs by them - Enola Gay, Souvenir, Joan Of Arc, Maid Of Orleans, If You Leave ... perhaps you needed to have grown up in the UK in the 80s to appreciate them
