  1. Haven't actually listened to any of these but I've always been interested in checking out SOTU
  2. As it stands, Jailhouse is the only one I've heard from this picture, but heard Steelhouse Lane for the first time on YouTube just now... I think I know what I'm looking for next!!! They sound right up my alley! Oh yeah, favorite track from the Jailhouse is Long Way Up!
  3. Surprised to see Loud & Clear in this bunch, I thought that they would be too obscure! Still looking to pick this one up someday!
  4. Currently addicted to Kik Tracee

  5. Just noticed Firehouse isn't up there. If it was it would definitely bump into my top 3
  6. Another tough year, I could probably name a favorite track from the majority of these albums. If I had to choose one though, I'm going with Warrant. Favorite track is Mr. Rainmaker. If I could choose two the second would definitely be Firehouse. Favorite track is Overnight Sensation. After that I would have to debate over the order for the rest
  7. I'm also going to go Mr. Big for this one. I loved Road to Ruin the first time I heard it, but My Kinda Woman is a great track too!
  8. Man, I feel like a broken record because I've pretty much only been picking Bon Jovi when the choice has been available, but I'm going with them again. This was definitely one of the closest years though for me. Warrant is right there at the top followed by Slaughter, Extreme, Def Lep... Too many! Some of my favorite tracks from Keep The Faith are the two bonus cuts, Save a Prayer and Starting All Over Again. The KTF version of Starting All Over Again is one of my favorite BJ tracks period. Also, I need to shout out Slaughter for their surprisingly beautiful acoustic instrumental version of Days Gone By. I was a bit skeptical of it as the album closer, but after hearing it I'm so glad it exists!
  9. I think the Bon Jovi album is the only one that I've heard all the way through from this picture. Since I've generally tried to listen to albums chronologically, I haven't quite made it this far with anyone else. Definitely in agreement that These Days is a great album through and through
  10. Slippery When Wet was my first taste, but it wasn't until I heard Quiet Riot's Metal Health many years later that I got really hooked into the genre and for that it will always hold a special place in my heart!
  11. Slippery is THE album that got me hooked. I would say Cinderella, Poison, and Europe were also in contention but the gap is just too large
  12. This is a rough one, too many classics! I think I'll also take a non-obvious album choice in Mr. Big, though Skid Row and Warrant are not far behind!
  13. Heard a few of the new songs on a MetalSocialSunday stream a few weeks ago, sounds absolutely killer!
  14. Motley Crue - Theatre of Pain w/ some bonus stuff Kik Tracee - Big Western Sky 2CD Mr. Big - ...The Stories We Could Tell Baton Rouge - Shake Your Soul Ozzy - No More Tears Def Leppard - Pyromania
  15. Dang, I can only think of celebrities that have released awful songs, but I suppose that would be too easy for one of these lists! I'd say Bad4good but that almost feels like cheating
  16. Here's what it was for me, I mostly voted on familiarity: 1. I'll be honest, I didn't know who either of these singers were. Of the two I've only heard music from Harem Scarem so it was Hess for me 2. I like Coverdale's voice more than Tyler's 3. I voted Michaels since I've only heard a handful of Enuff Z'nuff songs and I listen to a lot of Poison. With such a limited sample size this might change when I hear more Z'nuff but for right now it has to be Michaels 4. Haven't heard a lot of Mason so I voted Jani. As far as I'm concerned Jani is the full package when it comes to singer-songwriters, he's an absolute Legend 5. Of all of these I feel like this is the least fair comparison, they don't sound even remotely alike to me. While Pearcy isn't a phenomenal vocalist in the traditional sense, he's so much more distinct in my opinion. I think Phil's voice could get lost in the shuffle, but when Pearcy sings you KNOW it's Pearcy which is arguably more important in some cases 6. Haven't heard Queensryche with La Torre, so Tate it is 7. Bon Jovi is my favorite band of all time, come at me 8. Same with Tate, I've only heard Great White with Russell so Russ it is 9. I like both versions of Danger Danger for different reasons, but I have to go with Poley for this one 10. Haven't heard anything from Heart I don't think, so Elliot all the way 11. Haven't heard much of Cold Sweat or Cathey, but I do love that first Lynch Mob album. Point Logan! 12. Once again had to look these guys up, but this time I've actually heard one full album from each. I assumed Bulen was Keeling, but that aside this was probably the closest one for me. Ended up going for Baton Rouge but if you asked me in a few weeks that might change We should do this again sometime, maybe with guitarists/drummers/bassists/etc?
  17. AMH is a relatively new band, and they released this single a few months ago; I want to know if any of you have seen these guys because I loved their debut earlier this year and want to get their name out more. They're pretty much straight party rock that I think some of you will dig! What do you think?
  18. Honestly I like the vibe and groove this one gives off, sort of reminds me of their acoustic performances
  19. I haven't bought any but I'm heavily considering Badd Boyz, I'm not the biggest Shortino fan but the samples I've heard from that one rock! Based on samples, honestly Rough Cutt is probably the one I won't consider any time soon. I don't like the sort of metallic effect on Shortino's voice in some songs if you get what I mean. For the same reason I've avoided the Platinum Overdose albums where I think it's more noticeable. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else though so I'm not sure if I'm the only that gets bothered by it or maybe I'm just going insane
  20. Assuming you watch clips of the show on Youtube, the names of the people are usually in the description. If you are watching full episodes, they literally do a role call at the beginning of every episode
  21. I've never seen an episode of Married with Children, the only thing I know is that in one episode Kelly tries to be in the music video for a band called The Guttercats. The band was an actual unsigned act gigging the sunset strip back in the day, they have a pretty good 4-song demo tape floating on the net!
  22. I'll see your Dokken and raise you one Best of Extreme. I don't know about you, but malformed faces and mosquitos always make me want to listen to music
  23. What I mean by the title is what band/artist/album did you first hear that got you into this genre, if you can remember it. For me, it started with Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet which put it on my radar, but it wasn't until a few years later when I first heard Quiet Riot's Metal Health that I really got into it. Ever since then I've been all-in, from the most famous to the most obscure artists out there!
  24. Howdy! I'm Chris, I'm fairly new to the forum but have been using heavyharmonies for a while for recommendations and reviews. I'm a drummer on the side and have been collecting CDs for about four years now. I love researching and listening to unsigned/unknown Hollywood bands, some of which are now in my top favorites! I like most kinds of music but I tend to lean more towards pop/commercial rock when listening recreationally. Favorite bands as of now in no particular order are Bon Jovi, Mr. Big, Blackboard Jungle, Firehouse, and Valentine Saloon. I look forward to hangin' and talking music with you guys, here's to many more posts!
