  1. Great music, but the lyrics are way too juvenile on Screw It!, even the album title was bad. Slipped Her The Big One, Get Your Shit Together, Everybody Wants Some (Your Mom and Dad do it, LAME!!!) Horny S.O.B., Yeah You want It. Were they trying to attract a younger immature pre-teen audience. Too bad because Don't Blame It on Love, Crazy Nights, Beat The Bullet and the ballads deserved better supporting tracks. Too much filler for such a great band.
  2. I was expecting many more votes for ''Bitter Pill'', simply one of the best songs ever, the mad German choir part still makes me pump my fists. Although the frontrunner at this time in the poll ''All My Bridges Are Burning'' is another killer track. If there was a poll for Cherry Pie my vote would be for ''Mr. Rainmaker'', it's simple, but hair rock at its best.
  3. He states in the auction it's a fan club issue. If so, would it be wrong to sell it? I've sold Dream Theater fan club cd's on Ebay without incident.
  4. Found out through a source he did indeed get his cd, about a week after filling his chargeback. So he gets his cd and I lose my money, what a thief.
  5. Somebody should auction it on Ebay with all the proceeds being donated to the HH website. With so many members, it would get tons of hits and maybe some really rich board member would buy it. It would be a cool fundraiser. I would sell chocolate bars door to door, but my neighbors would wonder what the hell is Heavy Harmonies. I'd be up to it. If somedody wants to send me the cd (I think Jim has it, right?), I would list in an auction. Could even use the lovely photos of previous HH members who owned this much talked about cd. Let me know if this sounds like a cool idea. If it doesn't sound cool, please no finger pointing and laughing. Cheers, Dave
  6. Thanks for the encouragement Relay. Yeah it was for a 2.99$ cd that this whole thing (mess) started. Not that I'm chicken, but to sell somewhere else isn't in the cards for me just yet. Most of what I sell is so unknown, it's bidder who go to war, that make some of my items sell. I also have few cd's to sell at the moment. Plus if I branched out and spent anymore time on the computer, my wife would kill me. or maybe even my computer
  7. As a hobby, I made over 10 grand last year with E-bay, that makes it hard to simply quit.
  8. It will show a # if you fill a custom declaration (green sticker) for the parcel. Here in US the number is something like LC123456789US, and this # is trackable at www.usps.com site. Filling the green custom sticker is free of charge - I believe you should have similar one in Canada too. Here's what the form looks like: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We have that for small parcels, which cost 5.60$, I ship as oversized letters for 2.99$ and you can't get a green sticker like the parcels. I try to keep my shipping as cheap as possible, the 4$ dollars I'm asking barely covers the postage and packaging. Iremeber when the US dollar was 75 cents to our 1$, I was actually covering my Ebay fees as well with the 4$. Now with the dollar almost at 90 cents, not anymore. I'm curious to know what the reaction would be if I asked to print each item individually with it's destination? I love hunting for cd's, I don't mind listing (takes awhile), I love making cash, but I loath having to put my packages in the hands of Canada Post and receiving e-mails about packages that have not yet arrived. The postage problems and Paypal chargebacks sometimes sour the whole Ebay experience.
  9. Did this "FUCKING PUNK" buy insurance? If not, then his gripe is with the postal service, not you. What an asshole. It's amazing that paypal allows people to file (& win) claims for not receiving product when they haven't purchased insurance. I ALWAYS get a receipt when I mail something...it is at the very least proof that I mailed something to the city, state, & zip where the buyer lives. Of course, I don't know if that would be good enough for the dumbassess at paypal... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The receipt doesn't show any proof of anything other than having paid 2.99$ for shipping and if I ship 6 or 7 cd's than it show 18$ to 21$ in one big clump. It sucks depending on a business (postal services) that have no repercusions if something gets lost or takes forever to arrive.
  10. I finally got a response from the guy, here it is: Hey you fucking PUNK. I was informed by a friend as to what you said in Heavy Harmonies about me. So you're trying to make me look bad when I've never received the CD I won from you 17 days ago. That does make you a FUCKING PUNK! I've won many CDs from Canada and it's never taken 17 days to get here, (and let me remind you again that it's still not here). Refund my money now or I will continue with the Dispute. Believe me PUNK I'll never do business with you again and I'll make sure everyone I know on e-Bay doesn't do business with you either. Nice!
  11. A big time seller/buyer on Ebay metalismylife won a cd from me 2 weeks ago, today. He e-mails me today at 4pm to tell me he hasn't received the item and that it should have had arrived already. I answer back at 6pm, saying that it will arrive shortly, it takes a few weeks from Canada to the USA. Instead of writing back, he files a complaint of non-receipt with Paypal. After, only 14 days, I know metal is his life, but show some patience. I have over 1000 positive feedback and I am a power seller, could he not simply wait awhile and trust my reputation. Work it out without getting Paypal involved. Mail is something that you can never trust, so why blast me for slow Canadian mail.
  12. Make a request to get the bidders personal info, if he's bid on your things you can do so. I always do it when a newby bids on my things. Go under advanced search and look under members contact info. You then insert the ebay id you are requesting and the item in question and they will send you an e-mail almost instantly with the bidders info. If it's him please let us know.
  13. i don't what you are talking about concerning "defending" Sams return / guarantee policy -- there is nothing to defend - its his policy and many overlook it. i am stating what simply is. as far as other issues go, i do not work for or represent Retrospect Records so i do not speak on behalf of them. i have my opinions and so do all of you. Whether i choose to voice my opinions is up to me - but i have found that it is usually a waste of time in this forum. the bottom line is , and the FACT remains that there are the select few here that have it out for Sam and anything he has his name on. Whatever he does , there are those who will find fault and condemn him and bash him and always try and one up him, regardless of how little they actually truly know about each situation. Screw that, i don't want anything to do with people like that. What a load of bollocks... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But my point is- Retrospect, like ANY normal, legitimate business, should have a return/guarantee policy anyway. LV KIX, I don't know where you get off saying: "Besides, if Sam did accept the return everyone would be so dissappointed." It should not be a matter of choice. He should accept the return as just a matter of good business ethics. And no, we wouldn't be disappointed. And my point is - That if this ChrisSlade guy had just emailed Sam and explained the deal to him ... then all of you wouldn't have been able to jump all over Retrospect because he didn't take a return. My guess is that Retrospect would have taken a return. Another thing strikes me as funny here... this ChrisSlade joins this message board.... never makes a post. Then all of the sudden just happens to have ordered $200 worth of CD from Retrospect...? Believe that if you want to. So he wasn't gonna post a thing until this thread...? I don't buy it. My guess... This guy never purchased anything from Retrospect... that's why he can't get his money back, he never spent it to begin with. Just someone's attempt to get at Sam. Funny how we have all these new "members" who only show up when a Retrospect thread is heated. I'm not trying to talk anyone into buy from Retrospect... I could care less. People are always gonna read what they want to into any issue... this one is no different. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you got some names mixed up on who bought for 200$. I think it was somebody called ChrisSlade, not Cerebus.
  14. Report him to Ebay, if he is selling CD-R's and it is a violation on Ebay, report him. Does he state anywhere in his auction that these are in fact CD-R's? If not, report him. Don't bother leaving negative feedback, he will just do the same, with or without a reason and no one wins.
  15. Awww, c'mon! This thread needed a litle levity, dontcha think? -Dan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're right, anything that has to do with Retrospect needs a little fun, here and there. But the ADHD thing may still hold true for some.
  16. You guys are worse than my students with ADD or ADHD. The added H is for hyper.
  17. Let's get back on track with the thread at hand. So what happens now? A waiting game to see who else Sam screwed or screws over. I'm guessing the wait won't be long.
  18. I don't get it! Check out the conclusion of the Sweet Teaze auction. Vegascds ended it early, with 2 hours to go and sold to the high bidder at the time. Why would you do that? Everybody knows the last few hours of an auction is moving time. Why end early? Very strange, very strange indeed. Ebay item number 4832595503
  19. Has the Sweet Teaze cd also been removed from his Ebay auction? Last I checked, it was at a meager 7$.
  20. Nice one! It just sadly reminds me of a pet bird I once had.
  21. Maybe grossed out by your poopy post??? Sho' nuff left me ....... speechless. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry for the gross out, the only other pictures I could find when I typed ''Shit Hit The Fan'' on a Google search, were some of former Presidents and baseball players on stereoids. To make you feel better, here's a photo you may prefer
  22. Other than Koogs giving it a go, this thread is way too tame. Something's strange, where the Hell is 80'scollector guy? He should be ripping this thread apart. Anything that involves Retrospect or Sam has him coming to it's defence. Where are you 80'scollector guy? Where?
  23. This could get messy. As a thread this will get messy
  24. Don't want to sound like Dr. Phil, but don't be like your Dad. If he is a deadbeat dad, take him to court and get his cd's. Sell them the legit way and you and your mom could be living the good life for awhile.
