  1. Nick Let me know what you think of the mighty 'Gaia' album - Right up your street I think - Takes a bit of time for it all to sink in, but well worth the effort. One talented Geezer!!!
  2. Blizzard Of Ozz - Brilliant album Bark At The Moon No More Tears
  3. Went with 'The Storm' from the first section although love the Tyketto & Shadowking discs nearly equally. The second section was a lot more difficult to choose from, what with Bad English, Aldo Nova's mighty fine 'Blood On The Bricks', but the winner is: Harem Scarem - S/T - Superb album and one they have never bettered IMHO.
  4. Pearl Jam - S/T Giant - Time To Burn Crown Of Thorns - Lost Cathedral Touch - S/T Aldo Nova - Twitch
  5. Hardline - Eclipse Giant - Last Of The Runaways House Of Lords - Demons Down Treat - Dreamhunter
  6. Seeing as I'm on Holidays for 2 weeks - loads of discs being spun:: Enchant - Juggling 9 Or Dropping 10 Robby Valentine - 4 United Hughes/Thrall - S/T Steelhouse Lane - Metallic Blue Streets - Crimes In Mind

  8. Theatre Of Pain is my worst Crue album by far so chose 'Home Sweet Home' from a bad Lot. Girls,Girls,Girls, was better, but still full of filler - 'Wildside' Gets my vote Dr. Feelgood on the other hand is my Fave Crue album along with 'Too Fast' - Loads of great songs on here but 'Dr. Feelgood' the track gets it.
  9. Styx - The Complete Wooden Nickel Recordings (Styx, Styx 2, The Serpent Is Rising & Man Of Miracles all on a nice 2 Disc package)
  10. Not the best Kiss album for me - pretty patchy, but there is one shining light. Paul Stanley & Michael Bolton's - Forever - Great Great ballad
  11. Enchant - Time Lost... Enchant - Break Styx - The Complete Wooden Nickel Recordings Styx - Equinox Styx - The Grand Illusion

    Dream Band

This is really tough as their are sooo many great great musicians I have heard and seen over the years and rate very highly. Now I am being completely honest when I say that my dream musos are all in the same band. Some may mock, some may say predictable, but!!! - Yes, you can probably guess who that is without too much trouble - The cream of the crop and the top of the list as far a musicians go. Yes - TOTO. Steve Lukather, Bobby Kimball, Simon Phillips, Mike Porcaro, Dave Paich, with extra special mention to the dearly departed Jeff Porcaro, who was the best drummer that ever walked this planet. New boy Gregg Phillinganes ain't no slouch either. - The Best period. If I had to make up a band WITHOUT any of these boys, then it would go something like this:: John Waite - Vocals Neal Schon - Guitars Steve Vai - Guitars Jimmy Waldo - Keyboards Neal Peart - Drums Tony Leven - Bass
  15. Title track for me aswell. Not exactly my fave Kiss album though!!
  16. Part 1 was a lot more difficult than Part 2, as I love the Talisman, Nelson,House Of Lords, Y&T and Fate albums, but the winner is: Valentine - Valentine Along with the s/t Solo album, Hugo's finest hour. For Part 2 - Dead easy for me. One of the Finest AOR albums ever to come out of Canada. Boulevard - Into The Street.
  17. Survivor - Reach Survivor - Caught In The Game Treat - Dreamhunter Fate - V
  18. Sorry brother, a couple more years and I woulda been all over it, I was more AOR than metal back then... Pete I Always was and still am more AOR than metal (you never guessed that then ). Voting in all these polls, especially the years 1977 -1984, I find EXTREMELY difficult, as by far, these are my favourite years no contest. ALL my fave albums come from this period (hence why I did the OAP polls to see what everyone else likes). I purposefully didn't list some of the obvious releases, to try and gauge who had heard of what. I am surprised that quite a few have never heard of half of the bands I listed though. Loads of great, great albums since, but none that top any of these IMO????
  19. Survivor - Reach Survivor - Too Hot To Sleep Von Groove - S/T Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime II
