  1. Alter Bridge is very much in the same bracket as Audioslave. A band that is more in common with the bands we listen to, but the bands that spawned them really are not gonna get much attention on here.
  2. Not quite sure you understand what he means by the touring being too much. He is not adverse to touring, just not on the scale Skid Row want to do. For starters, they are an American band and he lives in Sweden, so that is some serious distance. He is more than happy to tour Europe and go outside from time to time, but he cannot commit to the kind of touring schedule they have. Not just because of his health but he has a young family as well. As for music, was just in a chat with him tonight and he fully intends to work on solo stuff, and is still working with Jonah on writing stuff (they both wrote some songs last summer that they were going to pitch to Skid Row for the next album, but now may record and release them to YouTube). He said that anything they are writing now, would probably not see the light of day til the end of next year due to how long it takes to write, record and produce etc. Don't write the guy off yet, he still has a lot of passion for the business.
  3. He did the recent End Machine album and I think one guest song with someone else, but he certainly is not being overused.
  4. You can pretty much talk about any music on here, regardless of genre. But it's better to discuss anything that doesn't fit into one of the specific forum categories, in the general music forum. I know Default and Fuel are in the main database, but I doubt Creed ever will be as they are far too close to grunge for many peoples tastes. There are people here who do like them though, and you may even find a topic or two over in the general forum. Plus I know a video was posted in the music video forum recently. I think Collective Soul has had vids posted before as well. They certainly have a couple of fans on here. Sure it's @whiplash1972 who tends to post stuff by them.
  5. Was thinking that but not sure if this is a full time project or not.
  6. I have a hugely varied taste in music outside the main stuff I listen to, and knew exactly what I was getting into style wise with this. It really does suit his voice, and as I said over on the main site, people forget that these older rock artists weren't influenced by other hard rock bands because they did not exist, they were influenced by old rock n roll, soul and pop rock artists because that is what they were originally exposed to. It's good that a guy like Paul took this as a separate project rather than trying to interject it into Kiss.
  7. Paul Stanley's Soul Station - Now and then
  8. Downloaded a digital copy from Amazon and already played it a few times. Really like it. Hopefully it will lead to a full album. Here is some of the info he posted on Instagram Hi everyone!♥️🥁🥁🥁🥁 I've thought about writing this post A LOT! There are so many people I want to thank for making this moment happen. This is deifinitely my number 1 moment of my career as a musician, composer, producer and a SINGER. My virginity is lost now in so many ways, haha... 😃 The list of people involved in my career is way too long to deal in one post, so I will write more about that later on... For now I just want to say that this is my vision of Rock n' Roll. This is how I see the world at the moment. My partners in crime on this song are @jalleverne and @ollianthonanttila . We lit up the darkness! 👏🏼 my 6 year old demo was totally reborn! @jykasirainen / @countryjyka played amazing bass tracks and sang some killer backing vocals. He also recorded my drumming at MAXX FACTORY studio, @mikkoanterolahtonen played hell of a guitar tracks as he always does. And me and Olli A. Did the rest, at his studio and at my place. You guys are a goup of extremely good people with good energy, talent and passion for music. Thank you guys♥️ This means a lot to me. I hope you can all feel it. This story will go on!👏🏼 For now, Dance Thru Darkness! 💥
  9. Hessu is on vocals. By all accounts this was a demo he did six years ago, but has finally re-recorded the full version. Certainly has a Reckless Love vibe to it.

  11. Erik announced on FB today: Erik Grönwall Pre-order of my biography is now available in Swedish! I will sign this bad boy when you pre-order. Get it here: https://www.adlibris.com/.../signerad-power---musiken... Sure there will be an English version at some point
  12. While I hate Eminem this is the only song of his I have in my random playlist
  13. And it makes sense that Dino is with the band as vocally he is often compared to a cross between Cov and Dio.
  14. Sure he is a member of Whitesnake at the moment
  15. Yeah, as someone who went through similar to him a year later, I fully support his decision. I will always be under the docs as well, but I think I have one big benefit over Erik in that my stem cell transplant used my own cells, where as I believe he had donor cells which probably means he might have to take immune suppressents which I don't. And even considering all that, I still have to be very careful which is why I no longer work full time, and even if I get slightly ill I am supposed to get checked out. Can't imagine the stress he has put his system under by touring.
  16. I think Lzzy has the right chops as a temp replacement as her cover of Slave proves, but I can't see a lot of female vocalists being able to pull off a lot of their stuff due to how varied it is. Maybe it's time to bite the bullet and reunite with Seb and Rob for one last hurrah.... yeah, I am delusional, I know.
  17. He did a Q&A a little while ago where he said moving to the USA was not gonna happen due to needing to be home in Sweden for healthcare, something he would not be able to afford in the USA, so realistically speaking it was always going to be difficult for him to stay with them long term with regards to touring. Recording is easy enough remotely, but you can't tour remotely. He shot his shot, and got to spend time as a member of one of his fave bands, so nobody can begrudge him that.
  18. Not only that, but how can anybody actually like that shit and post it intentionally for other "fans"?
  19. Ah, funny you should mention that Keel cover, Alexx Michael of Shameless posted a cover of that song yesterday by a female artist that is absolutely atrocious. I was trying for the life of me to remember who did the original as all I could remember was LA Guns did a cover of it. I beg forgivness for posting this, but its so horrible that I think everyone needs to hear it
