  1. Yeah great track. Bob Catley's helps out with this song and there's a chick with a cool voice who can be heard more at the end of the song. Edguy fans should love this also. Man Tobias Sammet has an incredible voice. Much better than anything on 'Scarecrow'.....IMO.
  2. Shit, I cant vote again - too many of my favs not on the list - Saraya Sunstorm Shooting Star Signal Skagarack Strangeways Saxon Survivor and that's just off the top of my head. Soooooooooooo, I guess it would be 1. Survivor 2. Stangeways 3. Steelhouse Lane Cheers
  3. How the hell can I vote in this poll when my three favourite T bands arent there???! So my choices - 1. Threshold 2. Triumph 3. Thin Lizzy
  4. IMO Heart Full Of Fire pisses on Hungry For A Game. Period.
  5. good boy Me ---> <--- Matt Mate, I'm enjoying all their albums to be honest - well, this one, 'Mandrake' and 'Hellfire Club' anyway. This one is still the best by far, imo. backed.
  6. I can't believe it either. That's why I'm kind of embarrassed about it. But it is a great album, I do admit. The only other Edguy album worth picking up is Hellfire Club - the rest are patchy at best. Rocketride is their best IMO. Have you heard Mandrake?? Thats a very strong album! Yes. The song 'Tears of a Mandrake' is an absolute monster, but IMO the rest of the album just doesnt live up to that great beginning. I really want to like songs like 'Jerusalem' etc but they just dont do it for me. 'Pharaoh' is pretty good as well, but too long.........and it doesnt hold a light to 'Piper....' on Hellfire Club which is an absolutely fcuking awesome song, and their best IMO. Cheers
  7. The last tape I played was a D60 of Wildlife - s/t (prob about 6 months), but I have it on CDR now :-) A classic AOR album.....about time for a re-issue me thinks!
  8. I can't believe it either. That's why I'm kind of embarrassed about it. But it is a great album, I do admit. The only other Edguy album worth picking up is Hellfire Club - the rest are patchy at best. Rocketride is their best IMO.
  9. Going Out With A Bang - BROTHER FIRETRIBE. The chorus aint the strongest on the album, but bugger me is that a good bridge.
  10. I guess I'm the only person that thought that "Love Goes Down" was the best song on the debut. For some reason nobody ever mentions that tune with the other great tunes on that disc. Yep, "Love Goes Down" & "Valerie" were both right up there too. When there are just so many great tunes rather than one or two stand-out tracks then everyone will disagree on their fave tunes. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that "Wildest Dreams" & "Runaways" are better than anything on the debut... Backed mate. Those two songs are stunning. Yep, got to agree that those 2 songs are great. I also love 'Game They Call Love'.....stunning chorus. & the bridge to 'Going Out With A Bang' is pure 80's joy. Great album and to be honest there's not really a weak track on it - I can see it becoming my fav. Even over Khymera and HOL, which is really saying something. Cheers
  11. Wildest Dreams - Brother Firetribe One of a bunch of cracking tunes
  12. Me too - what a killer album! It's really good, not as good as the previous album but still very good stuff. You think? I'm actually preferring this to WUD....for me only the second half of that album was killer Whereas, Come To My Kingdon is filler free. Awesome in a word.
  13. HOUSE OF LORDS - In A Perfect World
  14. We'll Find A Way - HUGO despite listening to the whole of Sunstorm this morning
  15. Jesus, you must commute a long way - I barely get through one album, which this morning was................... Sunstorm - s/t
  16. Backed. I love those songs too, but my favs are 'Since You Went Away' and the absolutely marvellous, killer 'No Sacrifice'.
  17. Heaven & Hell............... followed by Mob Rules - the Dio albums are way better than Ozzy stuff.
  18. Was just spinning those two myself this morning. The Khymera is just top class right through, barely a filler. Pisses from a great height on the other 2 and I liked them, especially 'A New Promise'. You are right TIM - Not one bad tune on here mate. The Work Of Art I have had a preview of for about a month now, so am very used to it - Shame they left off the Acoustic version of Camelia which was on the promo!! Absolute Killer disc though. The only track even remotely close to filler on the new Khymera is 'If I Cant Be', but even that is good. There are at least 4 or 5 tracks on this album which are as good as any song in 07 in my opinion. Great, great album. Back on topic - Work of Art - Artwork Finally spinning this now and this is a top album too. Maybe a tad light for my taste, but still quality throughout.
  19. Last Forever - KHYMERA One of weaker ballads from 'Greatest Wonder'.......still great tho and its stuck in my head.
  20. I have to say that the EPs are much better than the full album 'Scarecrow' - shame really.
