  1. Could be up Terry's alley. This is a girl I know who thinks she's pretty underwhelming in the looks dept. Now, as a person, she's a royal fucking pain in the ass, but she's cute, eh???

Awww it is always nice to be thought of Dave, especially when hot chicks are involved...

Still amazing how attractive gals seem to think they aren't.

Btw: Very much "right up my alley" (more pic's, phone numbers and such would be most excellent) and aren't they all (rfpita?).

Oh, dude, she's a trainwreck and a half! I've known some people with low self esteem but this chick takes the cake LOL

    :):)

Oh how I do enjoy "pumping" up a girls "self esteem"...

Oh, I've tried ... Lord knows I've tried LOL She's pretty much convinced she's worthless no matter what ya tell her. Pretty girl, though ...

  3. No shit, I'd go for that in a big way! You see where Cowboy Bret is opening for Skynyrd this summer? I was almost hoping he would be on teh bill when Skynyrd play the state fair in my area, just so I could sped his entire set howling abuse at the stage ... but he's not. Oh well!

In addition to being a talentless clown, the guy is blissfully free of any self-awareness.

    Oyyyyyyyy fuckin a ......

  4. I was listening to the samples of the re-release of Young & Crazy over on Amazon and it definitely sounds like the album has been remastered, but I just wanted to make sure. I own the original and have always thought the production was way too weak for a 1987 release. I also noticed the cover "I Want You To Want Me" from Original Sin is on the re-release. Did the actual band have anything to do with this version or was it a Steevi Jaimz-only project like Original Sin?

If it's on the label that I believe starts with the letter K (can't remember the name) the band had nothing whatsoever to do with it.

  5. Yeah, check out this cover of Mamma Kin -

They look so young and uncorrupted...

Where's KIM FOWLEY when you need 'em??

    ::: shudder ::: Noooooooooo!

Not to take over the thread but it reminds me a bit of Sacha Edwards who I posted a plethora of videos from a while back. 13 year old girl with superstardom written all over her. Here's a reminder (and an intro for those who haven't heard / seen her yet):

  6. As far as the chick in the "Cold Blood" video... Tonight at the L.A. Guns(Phil Lewis) show I asked Ronnie Younkins (KIX) who this girl was and he said he didn't remember her name. Only thing he remembers is that the guy producing the video found her and that she did a couple other videos for rock bands also. I was no help on this one.

Duuuuude, a year and a half later and you still thought of this??? Nice! Thanks for the effort! (And does this mean I have to watch every video from the era to see her again?? Ahhhh, crappppp!)

  7. He vanished pretty quickly from the reunion line up pretty quickly, and from reports I read, nobody in the band knew why.

You would have to assume it was connected to his death as he was either heavily into drugs or had health/mental issues.

Its a shame indeed as the PBF debut is one of my all time fave albums.

Not heavily into drugs. At least not "back in the day" and when I last spoke to him around Christmas he definitely didn't sound to be. Word has it he called into work sick on a Friday and passed away over that weekend. I've also heard that his mother was the one who found him, although as far as I remember she still lives in Washington state and he lived in Oregon the last several years.

He was one of the nicest guys you could meet and a hell of a lot brighter than he played himself off to be.

Last conversation with him opened up with me saying, "Dude, I just heard 'Wild Angels' on Hair Nation. Can you believe it??" and he laughed and said, "I just heard it too! And no, I can't believe it. Why would they still play my shitty band on the radio all these years later?!?!?!" He made fun of himself and his past a lot around those he was comfortable enough to do so.

I'm gonna miss that guy ...

  8. Well, in the liner notes on the new giant, "Save Me" is credited to Dann Huff, David Huff, and Terry Brock. Sure enough, Dann & David played on the Schlitt CD containing "Save Me", so I'd say it's theirs to do with what they please most likely. bannana_guitar.gif

Haven't heard either song but, no, unfortunately this isn't the case. It all comes down to who owns the publishing. If the publisher of the "original song" (in this case, the John Schlitt track, right?) feels that there is a copyright infringement case they can go after the Huff's, etc - even though they were involved with both songs.

A while back John Fogerty wound up "suing himself" when one publisher decided that a new song of his at the time was too similar to an older song he had written and recorded with CCR. It's a fun game I tell ya!

  9. Just thought I'd mention - a couple of years ago there was a "metalish" band that had just signed to Roadrunner we were discussing here a bit called Seventh Son.

In 2009 they changed their name to ... Taking Dawn

  10. That's right ... me. Anybody care? No?? Thought not!

    ha!

Haven't really had time to post here in eons but now maybe I can get back to raising havoc and making Dan's life truly miserable!

How the hell have you guys been??? And when the hell did this place change it's look???

  11. >> And yep, it did suck when the "Video Bimbos" all lost their gigs. I was friends with a few of them (hey, ya tell a few chicks you're a movie director .... {ahem!}) and this girl in particular was a good friend of mine. She was in Van Halen's "Poundcake", Slaughter's "Up All Night" and Danzig's "Mother" videos amongst others.

    ohmy.gif A name?!

awcrap.gif Who would've thought of that....
