  1. a warning to watch out for this ebay buyer (capengolf82010z). He bought a $50 dollar cd from me and a month later claimed the $50 back through ebay and said he didn't receive it. He said he had tried to contact me (which he had not). I have since been contacted by another ebayer who had the same issue with this buyer. BEWARE!

Did you use USPS Delivery Confirmation?

nope. never had a problem in the past. but i've learned from this!

If you use the link Dan provided elsewhere on this site, then purchase and print your own labels through Paypal, the cost is only 19 cents per item. Well worth it, if you ask me!

  3. Why are there so many a**holes involved in the music that we listen to? There is no wonder why melodic rock/metal is where it is. It's sad... that's about all I can say.

Oh... one more thing. I'm gonna now have to pick up a Hammerfall release. After I get it I'll email the bands management and tell them that I bought the CD because I agree with their stand of NOT allowing competition to sell merch at "Station 4" in St. Paul, Minnesota. A large percentage of what touring bands make is on their merch. Many bands, such as Hammerfall, wouldn't be able to tour the States without selling merch.

The hypersensitivity and poor people skills displayed by both Zane and his staff continue to be put on display for all to see.

Hey, why not post Hammerfall's email here and those of us who choose to do so, can email them in SUPPORT of their policy?

I agree that we need to get more bands like Hammerfall in the USA, and if selling their own merchandise is what it takes, then so be it! Personally, I would love to see Pink Cream 69 and Primal Fear. :beerbang: I have no idea if either of them has ever ventured into the USA; if they have it was nowhere near me!

Well... When I go out to the KIX and ZO2 show tonight I plan to pick up tickets for Primal Fear. I know they are playing in Virginia in May. I'm not sure where you are located... but keep your eyes open for Primal Fear.

Sorry this went way off topic, but thanks for the info. I wish I lived closer to Jaxx so I could take advantage of the great bands they offer!

  5. Now Zane is banning Hammerfall. This email arrived just over an hour ago:

    SAY "NO" TO HAMMERFALL!

We are deeply sorry for not seeing you all at "Station 4" in St. Paul, Minnesota last night. Upon arrival at 3pm, all 4 vendors at this show were told by Hammerfall's tour manager, that there was not to be any sales other than by the band. Reading below will show the complaint sent to Nuclear Blast Germany last night as well as their Hawthorne Office in the U.S.

"Tonight many vendors were scheduled for sales at Station 4 for the Hammerfall show. We've been working a merchandise cd / dvd booth for years at the club. Hammerfall's tour manager demanded we not have a booth as well as the 3 other vendors. WWW.CDINZANE.COM works directly with the U.S. office of CM/NB and purchases thousands of dollars in sales thru them. As of this evening, because Hammerfall's tour manager cost us at least $2000 + in sales loss plus 2 days of planning to do the show at Station 4, We will NEVER carry any titles, sell anymore titles or do any further promotion for the band Hammerfall. We marketed for 1 week in advertising with the club promotor. Many were coming out for the event. We recommend contacting this tour manager with the band and letting him know he's severely hurt sales on this side of the world for the band."

As of today March 19th, 2010, because some people think it's "their right" to tell supporting company's what they can and cannot do and show a sheer act of disrespect when coming to our country, WWW.CDINZANE.COM will perminently discontinue carrying anything to do with Hammerfall. This is the decision we have made.

In the future: We are very tight in a "Metal Union" with the club promotor Nathan Block. He and I see metal and unity. I know Nathan was very irritated and saddened by this response from Hammerfall's Manager. We've done ton's of shows over the past 2 years at this club and grew up with the club. Out of respect for a "smooth night", we left instead of fighting.

Again, we are sorry for disappointing those of you that responded to going out to see the band and in wanting to purchase tons of great imports from our advertising all week long, at this show.

  6. Okay, looks like I missed something here. Can anyone offer a quick rundown for an oblivious kid? Thanks.

Zane wanted to set up a merchandise table at MRFest 2, and Andrew understandably said no (there were other vendors who asked and were also turned down, so CD Inzane was not the only vendor). The bands playing the event can set up tables, but not outside/competing merchants.

Zane had a hissy fit and started making lame statements about Andrew, MR, and MRFest 2 in his newsletter and on his web site, as well as selling promos that Zane had requested from Andrew to give to artists on his label.

Andrew said "enough" and pulled all CD Inzane ads/promos at MR.

Zane somehow thinks that what he paid for monthly banner ads at MR somehow constitutes an "investment" in MR.

Zane is threatening lawsuit, allying himself with that J.T. Snakeryder loon, and using very juvenile insults (ranting and calling Andrew a faggot, etc.... sound familiar?) on the Noticeboard, as well as lashing out at some of the members there.

People who initially were posting defending or recommending CD Inzane as a CD shop have all but disappeared since Zane has shown his true nature.

    That's it in a nutshell.

Hmmm... I think I'll go to one of the largest web sites where my target buyer audience hangs out, and call the owner and the members names.

    Nice.

OK, Dan's summation is better than mine. :anon:

    :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

  7. Looks like Zane is making a lot of "friends" over at MR.com. First, you had this back in Feb:

    http://forums.melodi...389656&t=389656

    Now followed up with:

    http://forums.melodi...396224&t=396224

    and:

    http://forums.melodi...396299&t=396299

Wow. He makes a post on his website about a situation between he and MR.com/Andrew and then when one of his remaining customers sees it and posts about it on MR.com, he bans them? WTF?

    ***EDIT: And now a response:

    http://forums.melodicrock.com/phorum33/read.php?f=1&i=396332&t=396332

Evidently, the original post was from a newsletter, and not from the CD Inzane site. OK, still, to think that someone wasn't going to mention this on MR.com was more than a bit naive.

After having read through these threads, I have to state that Zane has only served to hurt his business by sending that email out in the first place (which I also received, by the way.) Then he has continued to lose potential customers by behaving like a little boy who does not get his way.

Sorry, but that's how I see it, Zane/CDInzane. If you (speaking to Zane and his reps) choose to label my comments as "Defamation of Character," as you characterized Max's statements over on MR.com, then shame on you. You really need to grow up.

One thing of note: Andrew of MR.com mentions two other companies who requested to be at the event:

"Two other retail businesses also asked if they could be involved at the show and I declined those requests also. Both businesses - Impulse Music and Nightmare Records replied immediately, appreciated what I was going to do and wished me every success for the event. Very classy."

While I have never dealt with Impulse Music, I have to agree that Lance King of Nightmare Music is a class act and I heartily endorse shopping there.

  8. Given the recent controversy about a member here trying to gouge people for their CDs, I told the band that the best way to counter this was to cut the legs out from under this person by publicly offering them directly from the band:

Australia: $20 AUS - shipping included

Worldwide: $25 AUS - shipping included

Message the band through myspace to arrange purchase:

Thanks, Dan. I will be checking this one out.

  9. "Great Expectations" is my least fave song on DESTROYER. It sticks out on that album like a turd on a birthday cake.

To be honest "Sweet Pain" isn't much better and that's why with those two tunes I don't understand why so many people think that that's the best KISS album.

Don't know why, but I have always loved Sweet Pain.

  10. Not sure when Sam will announce this... so I'll throw it out here:

The CDs I've waited for (seems like forever) are finally out.

Retrospect now has not one, but two, releases by DC Star. Check out the sample on the Retrospect website.

I suspect that there are a few members here that will love these... mainly Nick, Jez, and Wotty.

I need to check these out. I have been waiting for this as well!

  11. Has James given up, or just got alot sneakier?

Maybe all those Furby's came to life and ate him :P

Doubt it... Furbies are smarter than that... Then they'd have to get their stomachs pumped and rabies shots

D-weed is now trying to buy stuff on Amazon. He just tried to buy a CD from me today under the name Michael Arwine. The name and address did not ring a bell until I had already printed a label and sent him notice of shipment. However. the name finally clicked for me and I looked up this thread to be sure. I refunded him the money after I confirmed it was the same address. Now let's see if the scumsucker tries to burn me with my first negative ever on Amazon.

  12. After one listen, I am VERY disappointed.

One song I like a lot: Water into Wine. After that, not much to speak of, other than great vocals. Sounds way too much like John's overly mellow solo efforts.

    :crying:

    ???

I really don't get the "overly mellow" comparison on the new Mastedon. In fact I think it's heavier than LOFCAUDIO. Definitely heavier than his solo works.

I really do not think it is heavier than Lofcaudio. It is definitely not as uptempo as songs like Holiest One, When it All Comes Down, Thief in the Night and People of This Time. None of the choruses grab me, either, like some of the slower/lighter ones on Lofcaudio (Run to the Water, Life on the Line).

Different tastes, I guess. It will receive another listen or two, but right now it has been a disappointment.

A couple months later, and my opinion has not changed. I really like Water Into Wine, but nothing else caught my attention.
