  1. So it's been almost a month since the auction closed & still no money? Can't say that I'm surprised. But it sounds like you're doing the right thing in requiring him to pay with a money order. Keep us updated.

Oh I have been paid. Matter of fact he paid the next day. I sent it signature required and he received it the 21st of May. I am just waiting for him to claim that the cassette was defective or something. We'll see.

well, I got bit right in the ass by this dude...I had him blocked as windsoreyes but not windsoreyes2...he bid and won two of my auctions and paid instantly...but I went ahead and gave him a chance and sent the cd's....anybody wanna guess what my reward was? yep...got slapped with a paypal claim today, saying the more expensive cd he won from me was defective...I guess I am lucky he is not claiming them both....so...ebay pulled $140 out of my paypal account until it gets worked out...I went with the option of having him return the cd to get his refund...but usually that means what I will get back is a box of rocks with a tracking #......I am not counting on the getting the cash back...I deserve this if I am this stupid...but I am gonna be spending some serious time, warning all buyers and sellers to block him......anyway, everyone needs to keep on their toes, if your gut says to not trust someone, don't do it! I called ebay and they spent the entire conversation thanking me for being one of the longest standing accounts they had ever seen...I know my friends have been their longer...but I have been there since 98, pretty good time I guess...all of that means doodly squat when getting a claim filed on you....$140 lesson re-learned....

    Mike,

Maybe he was ticked that you had him blocked as windsoreyes? Also, earlier in this thread, you said you had windsoreyes2 blocked because he was bidding and retracting bids. How did he get through with bids?

Thanks for offering great items in your auctions, Mike! I hope you are able to triumph over this dishonest loser eventually.

  2. Wow! Just saw this thread.

LV KIX, What do you know about July 9, 2011... Gettysburg Bike Week, Granite Hill Camping Resort in Gettysburg, PA.

Is this basically a biker-only event? I am not a biker in the least, but I would be very interested in driving down there to see Kix, even if I have to camp out! lol

Please let me know ASAP, as I will have to make some quick plans!

Anyone can go to this show. I was thinking about going but decided to go back to the beach that weekend.

Should be able to find what you need here: http://www.gettysburgbikeweek.com/event-schedule

Thanks for the info. Sorry you won't be there.

Still trying to catch them for the first time ever!

  4. First, thanks for the download. :headbanger:

Second, after listening to it, I would not spend more than a few dollars for it. Some decent stuff, but certainly not something I would want to hang onto (musically, at least). But, as mentioned earlier in this thread, often the collectibility of a CD has very little to do with the music on it.

The vocalist just does not seem sharp at times. He seems to slide into a note instead of hitting it on pitch right away.

  5. I went to see Wildstreet last night and a band called Diemonds was on before them. Now despite the lead singer, Priya, being absolutely a smokin' hot little spitfire on stage (black leather vest, pink bra...grrrrr) they sounded pretty damn good. So I grabbed both CD's one of which is new, The Bad Pack. I will report back once I have spun them but I liked what I heard live.

And I cannot help myself but to post a pic of Priya....but really this pic does not do her justice. Her hair was like a black silk lion's mane. I have a photo of me with her that will post later that shows her beauty a lot better. But until then here she and go check out their music too.

Ummm... that pic you promised???

  6. Yep, it's a killer....to me...and the vast amount of feedback via e-mail agrees (which is good for NR fans...)

I agree, and it totally exceeds expectations (though that says something about the quality of their last few discs). Personally the fact that it's lacking a massive stand-out track - something their classic albums always had - and that tunes like "Live for Today" & "Rock n' Roll Tonight" are not quite up to the standard of the rest mean this is about a 90% for me.

    Backed.

Rock n Roll Tonight was great live tho!!

Glen, when and where did you see them? How was their show as a whole?

  7. This is a definite 'buy' for me..... :beerbang:

Great CD from song one to the last track !! This is what TNT should have did when Mills joined them !! Hope to see more from them in the future . Thanks Georg for this great new band !!

How true! How very true! This is an excellent disc! :guitbannana::beerbang:

  8. My review of the Swedish modern hard rock/metal group CellOut: "Superstar Prototype" is now available over at Hardrock Haven. Click the link below to check it out:

    CellOut review

Fans of the aggressive-yet-melodic school of modern hard rock--think Breaking Benjamin crossed with Closure--will want to check these guys out.

Upcoming reviews from yours truly include...

The New Black: "Better in Black"

    The Poodles: "Performacracy"

    Warrant: "Rockaholic"

Great review! I agree exactly with your comments about Flooded, the only clunker on the album, IMO.

Does anyone else hear a little bit of "The Hunger" in their songs? Especially Cinematic Superthug?

  9. style?

I was hearing hard-edged modern melodic metal if that makes any sense. Probably clear as mud for ya now isn't it, lol.

I just got this one. I would say this description is spot on. :headbanger:

I really like the sound of this one. :party421::beerbang:
