  1. Anyone else notice that whoever is using Lon's ID was typing a reply in this thread 2 minutes ago... but they must have scrapped it and left the board now. (That's what the name in italics at the bottom of the thread means, doesn't it?)

    Yup, I noticed that too.

    Look at his ID:

    http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showuser=794

He's been inactive (hasn't clicked on a new thread or posted anything) for over 15 minutes, so he disappeared from the list of active users...

You can look at ANYONE'S ID, even if they sign in anonymously, and see when they were last active.

He might still be typing right now.

    Mike

Yeah, and the Bears MIGHT have won the Super Bowl yesterday.

  2. It just keeps getting better........

Whatever, i am done with all this bullshit with you, your getting your money back, it has been a very bad deal for everyone involved and you want to continue acting like a 5 year old with all the name calling and harrassment. So yeah if you live and hour away come on over for a visit, might be one you won't like though. Because if this does not stop harrassment charges will filed against you. I have printed all these messages out and they will be taken to the authorities. I have already met with the my lawyer and we have spoke with other representation of other people involved, refunds will be made the whole story will be told, that is the end of it. So leave it be. All i can do is apologize because no one was intentionally taken advantage of. We were scammed just as bad as you and everyone else. So as i stated before until you know the whole story, don't assume, because you know what happens when you assume, you generally make an ass out of yourself.

    David

The key phrase is "So leave it be" (so I can scram before the police come!)

  3. to me it seems like he's trying to hold out for friday for a reason.

maybe he has planned to vanish by friday (flights) and all this has happened before he had the chance to flee.

So how people have to arrange to have him nabbed asap.

Can't all the fraud reports to paypal already be reason for his arrest?

I'm owed 7 different discs (about $110 worth) by Lon and it has really made my blood boil that something like this could happen. Not only did I pre-roder the Hurrican discs, but he contaced me (in response to one of my posts) and offered to get the Poison reissue discs for me. Needless to say I have never received anything and the fucking 45day paypal date has expired.

Seems like I am not the only person thinking this. He needs arrested ASAP. Let him sort it out at the police station.

  4. This is turning out to be a Greek tragedy. :crying:

Julius Caesar - where the trusted Brutus stabs Caesar?

Maybe something good will come out of all of this....

Maybe Hurricane, Valentine, Jim Jidhead and Robert Tepper release could see the light of day once again. This hoax may help to show that their is interest in bands such as these. Maybe record companies will see this and try, by legal means, to get this music back out there. If the band members are now aware of this little hoax... maybe they themselves will attempt to get this suff released. At least we can hope for something possitive to come out off all this.

I agree. The Hurricane releases especially, for me anyways.

  5. I once had a fucktard that tried that shit with me. I forwarded the nasty email and his user id to ebay, and he was NLARU'd soon after.

IS, have you tried this yet? Sounds like a good idea to me.

I was thinking about it but it all starts with ebay. Until they come up with a solution on how to stop someone from creating a new user name after they've been NLARU'd...what's the point.

Still, it's a hassle for them.

  6. I have misplaced the address here on my desk and I will email it to each and every one of you just as soon I find where i sit it at.

    David,

Please PM or email me with this info.

The RnR website is being worked on this morning!

    Check it out at: http://www.freewebs.com/lrc72316/index.htm

The ARTISTS, NEW SIGNINGS, & PRE_ORDER SPECIALS links now all take you to a page that says...

SITE UPDERGOING UPDATE PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe they are going to explain about Lonnie's accident that occured at 2pm in the morning.

  7. "Lonnie Holdaway" isn't exactly a common name; if he's been using an alias, he's been using it for quite a while:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=...%22&btnG=Search

As you can see if you visit the above link, he is listed as a Blytheville High School alum from 1984-1988 on Classmates.com

    Also, this article: http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:X7kmW...lient=firefox-a

    dates back to 1998

    Plus, he's on 411.com:

    http://www.411.com/10668/log_feature/pers_...a_listing=mixed

His name is either really Lonnie Holdaway, or the real Lon Holdaway passed away, and someone else has been using his name.

    Mike

    Wow!

    This is getting too interesting....

Why not just get a real job???

  8. Well hell, I've kept silent on this long enough. I've had my suspicions about Lonnie for several months now...ever since he starting throwing bullshit excuses my way on why our trade was getting delayed again and again and again. First off it was that he was buying a new house. Then he was having major back surgery. Next he was traveling to Florida...it just went on and on. I talked to a couple others here at the board (who I don't want to name...if they feel like weighing in, that's their choice) via PM about my problems with Lonnie, and they pretty much confirmed that something fishy was going on. Even my PM's regarding the live Hurricane release were ignored, which I thought was awful strange. I would bet that the only thing that screwed with the scam was when Grab.em.all posted regarding his problems with contacting Lonnie. The scam was then shifted into damage control, trying to assure everyone here at the board that everything was fine. I wanted very badly to call Lonnie out, hoping if my concerns were voiced in a public forum I'd get a response from him, but figured I'd get napalmed by other members here who consider him a friend (& at one time, that included me).

I was just ready to post about the thread that Grabemall started!

Good thing I read this first!

My how our thoughts have changed within a few days!

  9. OMG, this is not real! My heart goes to Lon (if he is in hospital), or to everyone who got burned...

David or Lon, come on men, straighten things up! I know there should be a logical explanation to this...

I agree. I am hoping that things will get straightened out, but there is a lot of circumstancial evidence that is not good.

I did not actually order any items, but I had visited the site and was probably going to buy just about everything (at least the Hurricane items) today or tomorrow.

  10. I hope everything goes well and that Lon can recover quickly and can put the accident behind him. I feel sheepish even talking about my van rolling over yesterday, lucky for my family we were all OK.

    Get well soon!

    Dave

Regardless, Dave, I'm glad you and yours are ok. Vans can be replaced, people not so much.

I hope Lon is ok, both from a physical and psychological standpoint. I've received some communication behind the scenes that tells me we need to get to the bottom of this ASAP. I have PM'ed Lon/David to either post or email the specific hospital information, including room number, both for those who wish to send their best wishes, and to verify that this is indeed what's going on.

    -Dan

    David,

Please respond quickly with this info. Thanks.

  11. As I said over on the "Dave" thread (sorry about the :hijack: ) I haven't had any problems with them. I have received my orders within a week after placing them and they are always new/sealed as stated. No problems with anything being back-ordered. Just got King Kobra - Ready To Strike from them today after ordering it on the 25th. Still waiting on Thrill of a Lifetime but they sent a separate email saying it went out 2 days after Ready To Strike. I guess I should consider myself lucky but maybe it's just my rugged good looks that has Claire getting my stuff out to me so speedily. :batman:

    :rofl2:

  12. Davesmetal is the only time Ive ever been ripped off on ebay. I purchased from him once without a problem, so I ordered a second time and got nothing but a run around. Each time I emailed him to ask where the CDs were he asked for my name and address and said he would fix things...finally I gave up.

With so many great stores and sellers online, I would never waste my time with davesmetal again.

Did you try to get a refund?

  13. I cannot remember the specific CD, but a buddy of mine ordered it through Caiman and told me about it after it was already on backorder, and he mentioned the price. I told him to cancel the order and get it through NuclearHell.com, because counting shipping costs he was paying about $7-8 more.

Well, he decided to stick with Caiman. Meanwhile, I ordered it through NuclearHell.

    Guess who got it first????

    :rofl2:

He finally got his over two months after ordering it.

I basically check everywhere else before I order from Caiman.
