Stevie Wright "Evie"

I was gonna post this one in the "girls names" topic, but I thought it deserved it's own. Released in 1974, it was the first 11 minute song to chart #1 in Australia and possibly the world. Stevie Wright on vocals with former "Easybeats" bandmate Harry Vanda on lead guitar. George Young on bass and George's younger brother Malcolm on rhythm. It's in 3 parts. Each part has it's own feel. It really is an epic and well ahead of it's time. Unfortunately Stevie's story didn't end well.

Very cool song.

Sadly most of the time we only hear part 1 on the radio etc, although lately the other parts a bit more.
