Not spectacular but decent songs. I dig 'Run' the most. Looking forward to hearing the whole album.

So did anyone buy, listen to or care about 'Age of reason?' I got it recently from Escape Music's ebay store. Didn't know what to expect but I actually thought it was pretty damn good.

 

The negatives:

- bad, muddy production. Album needs a lot of volume to get the best out of it.

- songs are generally all quite long - not necessary

 

But those 2 things said, the songs are really quite good. I guess you could also argue the tempo is a little samey throughout the album, but I really thought there were some good songs, especially early on. Anyone else try it?

 

And why are they on some no name label? By choice, as I assume there'd be enough demand for these guys on Frontiers etc?

It's a lot btter than the last one, but as you say, the songs very one paced and seem to go on an age at time, Not that I mind generally, as I listen to a lot of Prog, but these don't really hit the mark with me. The last album was on Frontiers and it was shite and got panned, so I suppose that explains why they aren't with them anymore
