I like the song "Whole Lotta Love"......that's about it.
He's one of those singers, that *TO ME*......just do nothing for me. Much like David Coverdale.
Dunno why....
Who's also on my to 5.

One of the top 5 for me. Love all his Solo stuff as well.

Every time I hear Dangerous Toys it scares me they got a record deal.

There was no harm intended. The guys have financed this themselves and with it being their first album everyone's trying to give them a bit of a leg-up. Sorry if it offended as it was definitely not an intention to be classed as 'spam'. Just thought the forum's term 'promotin' and 'shout it to the world' meant, by doing just that, an act could be introduced to people who would never in a million years hear of an unsigned act otherwise, and the songs on the myspace profile are available to download free, so there was certainly no harm intended. Anyway, as I say, I'm sorry I must have got the wrong end of the stick and I'm gonna have to go apologise to the guys now as the first reply to a post which had nothing to do with them was what I'd class as less-than-constructive critisism. Ah well, you live and learn!
If you want to post something like this fine but with a post count of 1 or 2 it's really a lot better to give some sort of introduction of who you are and why you are posting. It's a friendly bunch on this site an please post more if you are interested but shouting about a band with a post count of 2 just doesn't look right.

Ehhh..... can anyone say ?

I just sent an email to the address on his official site asking if there was a release date yet for the project. In the meantime, I noticed on the message board there are several live shows and demos that are available for download:
http://com5.runboard.com/bvainmessageboards.fresurrection
Enjoy!
I tried to download that stuff but I don't think it's available now.
Here's a link to Vain's my space page. They have a couple of friends that are former bandmembers including original drummer Tom Rickard, if you click on him you can listen to some of his songs, it seems he's went into some type of country direction.
Just downloading the Nottingham show and it seems fine.

Shark Island- Gathering of the faithful
Not finished the first listen yet but the first few songs are a little mellower than I would like.

Keeping personalites out of it I'd really like to know when the Tuff Luck re-released is planned. I'd buy that one.

Retrospect v Renaissance , this is one thread that could get interesting.

My "guilty" pleasures are :
Cindy Lauper
Stevie Nicks
Nils Petter Molvaer (Awesome scandi atmo Jazz trumpetist. HERE a link)
Love Stevie Nicks to bits.
I've got the Sisters of Alavlon album and I think it's great. How does the rest of the Cindy Lauper shape up in comparison to that one.
Basically I tend to like most decent female singer songwriters from Carly Simon through to Sheryl Crow.

I'm going to disagree and say this , to my tastes, isn't the strongest. None of those albums make my 10 ten.
Went with Slaughter and Black Crowes.

Easiest poll yet. Come and Get it. The best of the Snake.
-
The only non hard rock or metal cds I have are John Waite's best of vol I and Peter Gabriel's greatest hits.
John Waite is definatly HH territory.
Tori Amos, Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks for me.

Cool new option. So one could pick a band like Giant and request the favourite song from each of thier 3 albums. Good stuff, saves having to do 3 different polls.
Is there any way of doing a rating rather than a poll. By that I mean type in a value next to each option so you can say which is your favourite (1) through to which is your least (9/10/11...)?

I'll ask the dumb question. What exactly is Japenese Plastic?
It is a very ordinary cellophane plastic bag with resealable flap. Costs about 2-3 cents per piece. you can get them on eBay, there are plenty US sellers carrying them (all made in china of course).
I'm a bit puzzled, though, coz I always thought Retrospect had their duplicated CDRs factory sealed...
So it basically add's nothing to the equation apart from you know the product is not brand new.

Japanese Plastic.........a mylar sleeve that seals on on end which was made in Japan.!!!! Most normal collectors use them to preserve the finish on their jewel cases or digi pak releases.....
That would make me an abnormal collector.

Most of you guys won't have seen this girl but she's on TV in Germany and Italy a lot. She definatly knows where her strong points lie
Yes ! Certainly a pretty Swiss girl !! I saw this show and I was surprised that her norks didn't fall out that dress !!
Too bad !!
Are you sure it was the same show. ANY show i've seen her on she seems to have the same problem.

He states in the auction it's a fan club issue. If so, would it be wrong to sell it? I've sold Dream Theater fan club cd's on Ebay without incident.
Surely the base question is whether the band and/or rights holder agrees?

Good to see we shut that idiotic mouth of that moronic South African captain by severely kickin' their arse in the first Test .
He is a f :censored:k wit.
Pollock should be Captain of that side.
And yet again. You would think this clown would learn to shut his oversized mouth and do his talking with the bat for once .
Oh , all these things they were going to do to these over the hill Aussies .
Eat shit dickhead
I really can't do with Smith. He just doesn't know when to shut up and I'm pretty sure it means he ends up being targeted. Talks the talk but doesn't often walk the walk. Ugly to watch bat as well.

I seem to remember one of the potential problems for Sony with their root kill problem was that the 'CD' was not legally a CD as it did not conform to the Red Book Standard. A CD-R is a CD-R not a CD, Legally. They are different standards. One the Orange Book and the other the Red Book.
Personally I'm still of the opinion I really don't care what the format is as long as it's clearly stated.

Non taken.
Plant and Coverdale were the guys that got me into rock so they will always have a special place to me.
