I use rockreport.

Also for none rock
https://www.officialcharts.com/new-releases/
Not used that loudwire list but looks a good one. -
I'm going to keep going with this. It isn't too bad after a couple of plays but then I start playing Better Days in my head and it's just not that good. Very little is though.

The Rolling Crowes.
I've spent way more time listening to the Crowes than the Stones.
Really looking forward to this one. -
Finally available on Digital Download.
Slipstream | Romeo's Daughter (bandcamp.com)
I'll be in the UK just as they're touring in May so will get to see them again. Super excited. -

A very solid list, but I don't think I class any of those bands as AOR.
IMO, of course.
With you there. And an open list of great Scandanavian albums would likely pull in the likes of DAD for me.
They really do delivery some mighty fine music up there. -
One of the most horrible ways to go out. Terrible for all around as it progresses.

Maybe I need to look somewhere else for upcoming releases.
I tend to scan rockreport.be and officialcharts the night before. Then keep an eyeon https://rateyourmusic.com/list/huskerchief21/best-melodic-rock_metal_aor-albums-of-2024/
So looks like I need to listen to Leah this week. Palama Faith I usually like but another not in the HH genre. And the Honeymoon Suite. I'll confess I wasn't a fan of theirs back in the day but they had a catchy tune or two. I'll give it a go.
There's clearly stuff coming up and I always find a gem , or two , I'd never have expected to like. The Gunship album last year blew me away, for example.
I really can't ever remember getting to mid Feb without finding something I spin a lot. Maybe this week I find that gem.

Did you not care for the Striker album?
That one I've missed and will load up.
The Russel/Guns album I tried but found too dreadful to get to the end. .
Just got Revolution Saints on and it's more formula than a baby store.- 1

It's 2nd week of February and another Thursday evening looking for new releases tomorrow that I want to hear and again nothing.
Sivert Hoyem's album aside, which isn't melodic rock there's been nothing for me this year. Nothing.
Is the game over or will there be a slew of great releases coming soon? -
Pretty good list here.
It's truly incredible quite a few of these bands still doing the rounds.

This one passed me by at the time but been listening to it a lot the last two weeks. Really good stuff.

Not sure I can be bothered with a second listen. Blergh.

Finally got it. Oh my I love this band. Every single thing they do fantastic, to me.
Also looks like I might be able to get to their spring acoustic show as in the UK at a wedding two nights later. -
I've also been holding off , in my case because I really don't buy CDs any more.
Had a look at that site but seems it would cost as much as a CD anyway. I totally get why bands don't put things up on streaming services now as they basically get nothing but I don't understand why you won't sell digital as other artists I've seen use bandcamp.- 1

Love the whole album.

And now have to conclude this is the best album of the year. Nothing else has stayed so long on my rotation.
Being so long took me a while to even get to songs like run like hell.
A masterpiece.

She got half the Beatles to work with her on a Beatles cover. Really, stop now. Nobody else has the respect she does in the industry.
Enjoying quite a few of the songs. It's a lot to get through though! -
Playing Empress or the Damned and Tech Noir 2 back to back to back. Love it.
-
Didn’t like so much at first listen and now love it . Sometimes a few spins are needed .
More synth than I generally like but great songs when you take a little time.
-
It'll come next pay round, so before the end of the run.

Really enjoyed my first listen of the album this morning.
One I’ll be returning to.

A little surprised nobody posted about this one. A new album from Trevor Rabin. Seems they come around once every three decades unless it's a film score.
There's a few tracks on here I really like. Big Mistake and Oklahoma stood out. Some stuff that passed me by.
If you like 'Can't Look Away' you'll find stuff on here you like.
1. Big Mistakes
2. Push
3. Oklahoma
4. Paradise
5. Thandi
6. Goodbye
7. Tumbleweed
8. These Tears
9. Egoli
10. Toxic

Had set my expectations really low but really enjoying it. Very nice.

in AOR and Hard Rock

It's the best new Motley Crue song I haven't even bothered to get to the end of today.
