  1. Over the years, I've got rid of loads of CDs in an effort to raise some much-needed funds ... some of those I wish I'd held on to include:

Kiss Of The Gypsy: Kiss Of The Gypsy

    Johhnny Crash: Neighbourhood Threat

AC/DC: Live (the 2 disc version)

always loved Kiss Of The Gypsy(seen em years ago)think they're available on ebay...at the right price dude

    £1.85 on Amazon...

    Hurrah! :)

Now go and find me a cheap copy of 'Great White'! ;)

When you say 'cheap', I assume you mean 'less than the £16 currently being asked for it on Amazon'? :)

I'll keep trying with the Kiss Of The Gypsy CD ... last time I was outbid on eBay in the dying seconds ... I know I can pick it up again quite cheaply, it's just having the disposable income at the right time that's the problem :)The AC/Dc album is this one - http://www.acdc.com/...lectors-edition - in a cardboard slip-case, with an Angus 'banknote' ... :(

Here's the remastered AC/DC in a Digipack Loads of cheap ones. http://www.amazon.co...ords=ac/dc live

You should be able to get the original press with the slip case without any problems there too.

Thank you! I'm sure Mrs G will be DELIGHTED to hear this CD again :)

  3. Breaking The Chains

    Paris Is Burning (live)

    Tooth And Nail

    Just Got Lucky

    Don't Close Your Eyes

    When Heaven Comes Down

    Into The Fire

    Alone Again

    In My Dreams

    It's Not Love

    Kiss Of Death

    Erase The Slate

    Crazy Mary Goes Round

One (yes, I KNOW it's not a Dokken original ... I just like the way they do it ... which says a lot about the rest of the 'Erase The Slate' album )

My list is loads better. :P

No, it's not - it's got 'Dream Warriors' on it ...

    ... which is a choooooooon!!!

Nope Im with Gibbo.......what is it that everyone likes about Dream Warriors??

    Its cliched as hell.

For me its one of the weaker tracks on that album.

    Thank you! :)

First of all I don't think it's a week track , second-on an album of 13 songs(really good songs)saying it's one of the week tracks really isn't saying much!

Nope, sorry - I just don't hear it. I didn't think it was a particularly strong song to begin with, then I heard the version on 'Beast From The East', which is weaker than Superman in a Kryptonite suit. But, then, of course, my list includes 'Don't Close Your Eyes', which I don't think anyone else here has gone for, so clearly I'm in a minority ;)

Opinions will differ, of course. I like the song, but following this debate, I've been listening to it and I'm willing to admit that maybe it was too high in my list. It would still make the compilation, but might be nudged just outside the top ten.

To be honest, I'm far more shocked that you don't have 'Night By Night' or 'Unchain The Night' in your list! Heathen! :P

yeah backed on that....... 'Unchain The Night' in particular is essential!

Not quite sure how I missed that one out ... okay, I'll swap 'One' for 'Unchain The Night' :)

  7. The Croods ... we took our youngest daughter and some of her friends (Birthday treat) ... it actually turned out to be very good (and easily the best thing Nic Cage has done in a while!) :)

That's because you can't see him...

Exactly my point ... it is for this very reason that I can also watch Shrek without wanting to take a blunt instrument to the screen :)

Mike Myers? ... or Eddie Murphy?

Mike Myers ... he's as funny as a particularly virulent STD ...

Metallica: The Metallican (the 'Black' album with printed signatures on the cover, plus a t-shirt and a video of them playing a couple of songs with Diamond Head in Birmingham, all stored in a shiny 'paint tin') ... but only because NOW I could sell it for a LOT more money :)

  12. With Vain I didn't like it when it came out back in the day but love it now. But, in no way is it better than DT.

As for Aerosmith, not my definition of Sleaze at all, in any of their decades.

Im with you on Vain, as I came to like it in latter years after re-visiting. Think it might rank slightly higher than DT as its more consistent.

Aerosmith is definitely NOT sleaze imo......more classic hard rock

I bought the Vain cassette back when it came out and stomached through it once before chucking it off the deck in to a cornfield.

I think he meant Aerosmith back in the day when they were younger but I still don't think they are a sleaze band.

Yeah - I was thinking specifically of albums like 'Rocks' and 'Draw The Line' ...

  13. I'd certainly put Vain's debut ahead of DT, along with 'Appetite' and 'Too Fast For Love' (which, to me, still sounds like you could catch something from it :))

Given that they've been cited as an influence by a whole host of Sleaze bands, what about Aerosmith? Would you say that they've done anything that falls into the category of 'sleaze'? 'Rocks' is probably as low down and dirty as anything else mentioned on this thread ...

I'm sure you told me you didn't rate Vain!

I certainly don't. I hate 'No Respect'; I just don't enjoy the tunes at all. Give me Dangerous Toys above Vain any day!

Not me, squire ... I like Vain (although I'm not convinced that they were ever the Second Coming that the press claimed them to be) ... :)
