No disrespect intended here....But you are only hearing one side of the story. As I've said before, I do not speak for Retrospect. So don't assume that Retrospect would agree 100 % with everything I have posted here. As in all, or at least in most, cases people are only privy to certain information... and obviously people base their opinions on what they know. Or in some cases... what they THINK they know. As far as "facts being on the table"... you have only seen one side of this issue here on this thread. If Sam or his label do not respond in this thread you may only ever know one side of this issue. I would guess you most likely will not hear from Retrospect.. Think about it..why waste time going around in circles here..? This is just one of those situations where no matter what..NOBODY will ever change their mind. So why keep this thread alive..? I don't think it was any attempt of Davids to bring down Sam, or to "one-up" himself. He had some info and he shared it here. Nothing more, nothing less. The only reason you posted what you did was to try and divert attention away from the matter at hand, as usual. Report him to Ebay, if he is selling CD-R's and it is a violation on Ebay, report him. Does he state anywhere in his auction that these are in fact CD-R's? If not, report him. At least all the bands on David's label actually KNOW their stuff has been "reissued". So Mr LV, why don't we try to stay on topic here instead of trying to divert the attention elsewhere?

The sad thing is that all the pleading, bitching, mudslinging and other "kind words" Sam and 80s have thrown around here screaming that they are indeed legit have now been washed down the toilet again. I told 80s that I would walk away, and yes, I have been rather quiet regarding the Retrospect subject for a while and things died down a little over the last 2 weeks as well. 80s even answered a few of my questions in a respectful way regarding an upcoming Retrospect release and I respect that. But... now this "bootlegging" subject has hit the wall with full force again and all fingers are pointing Sams way once again. Why is it that every time people start to give the label benefit of the doubt, this shit surfaces again? As malebolgia has stated, Sam did alright by Manilla Thrills. Other bands have also stated the same, so why can't he seem to stay on that path? It's called greed. I don't care what excuses he or 80s have to throw out there.... I have silver Memorex CDR's at home that I use for recording stuff for the car and I can definately tell the difference between them and the real official released cd's bought from a store when I look at the bottoms. Yes, I can see rings, on both cd's, but the cdr's are usually more prominant
