I consider Guns N' Roses to be the antithesis of hair metal. -
Revolver: 5 Heaviest Hair Metal Songs

I wouldn't consider Skid Row as hair metal to start with. Can't Stand The Heartache is about the only song of theirs I would maybe classify as hair metal. Don't they remember when Sebastian said not to fuckin' compare them to Poison. -

Do you wanna get rocked? -
You are the one who called out people for not liking something because of a sense of history, which was completely fucked. Then turned around and did the very thing you were complaining about by saying you never loved Elvis. What is an Electric Callboy?
-
Yea I think there is a historical significance with certain artists/bands that can't be denied; but whether or not said artists/bands music is enjoyable to listen to is all subjective.
-
If I had to pick one of those bands to actually listen to I'd go with the Stones; as I didn't mind their run of albums from Dirty Work through to Bridges To Babylon. Jagger's Wandering Spirit was good too. But I have no use for any of the others at all, as far as finding their music enjoyable to listen to on a personal level.
-
Agreed.
-
I agree that what a person grew up listening to has a lot to do with it. Are you a big fan of Chuck Berry or Elvis?
-
A quick google search shows Jimmy Page was influenced by Elvis, so by your own logic you have to love Elvis as well. Sorry it's the rules.
-
Agreed on both points. I appreciate some bands have more of a historical significance than others; but why the fuck would I listen to something I don't like just because they are considered to be iconic. Is there more than 3 people on here who like Eddie Veddar?

Def Leppard - Diamond Star Halos

There is nothing on here I would call great but From Here To Eternity is a good song. Kick, Fire It Up, Take What You Want, and Unbreakable are ok, with the rest being meh to dreadful. -
Is she Danny's girl?

Man On A Mission or The Razors Edge included in that set of 10?

1. I was surprised to see some agreement on this one myself. 2. which AC/DC is song is your favorite? 3. nice.
-
1. Which Journey songs do you think are good? 2. Burnin" Alive is a great song as well, my second fav after The Razors Edge. 3. I feel like the majority only have love for the first two, and you even said yourself you don't think it's great.
-
John Bush era of Anthrax was the best.
-
A few of my unpopular opinions 1. Journey have zero good songs; and Steve Perry vocally does nothing for me, bordering on annoying. 2. AC/DC's best song is the title track from The Razors Edge. 3. Skid Row's Subhuman Race is a great album. Wish we coulda got a couple more albums with this lineup.
-
1. Does Queensryche even have 3 good songs? 2. I concur. 3. not sure about annoying but I don't really care for TNT or any other thing he's been a part of. 4. I concur in the sense that I can't stand Ozzy's vocals but I don't really like any Black Sabbath. 5. Pull has some stronger individual songs but as an overall album IV might be their best. 6. I concur, though Threshold focuses more on the melody side of things, so I've never really considered them a prog band in the true sense of the word.

Great album runs of 5 or more in a row

If we can get Glen to come around and see it's a great album, then we will have three people in agreement that NFO meets the criteria for this thread.
