I'd love it if he did, yeah i'd read that he signed a deal to release it...then nothing pity...and it sounds great from what I've heard of it on youtube.
yeah, there were a few tracks leaked it seemed and I thought the same, that it was sounding good, hopefully we'll get to hear the full album sometime soon

I recall stumbling across and downloading the Fire demo years ago, really cool 4 track set and a long lost gem. That track 'Never Run' is my fave of their songs. I think I had originally heard that tune on one of those unsigned L.A. band compilations back in the day. Not sure of all the details but from what I recall reading, Michael Guy and Tom Rucci had left Shark Island. And the lead singer had been in bands in New York area before moving to L.A. Michael Wagener was involved with recording of the demo. And the band shopped it around to the labels, but unfortunately never landed a deal and split not long after.

Couple of classics...for me anyway
Sweet F.A - Stick To Your Guns
Southgang - Tainted Angel
Bangalore Choir - On Target
Blue Murder - s/t
great choices, I'm a big fan of those as well, speaking of Blue Murder, do you think Sykes is ever going to release that album he finished recording awhile back? I thought we'd finally get to hear it last year but once again things fell apart

Hmmm is it just me or is going for a Bon Jovi type thing here...and not classic Jovi at that.
Yeah, I'm picking up a little bit of a latter day Bon Jovi vibe in this new song too. Not bad, but not what I was expecting

Nice playlist, it is pretty extensive, so apologies if I overlooked that you already have these included. Just a few artists I think are worth checking out, if you haven't before. If you don't like these particular songs I think the albums they are found on are good, so you might find a different track to your liking.
Kane Roberts – Rebel Heart
Icon – A Far Cry
Cold Sweat - Take This Heart of Mine
Gotthard – Let It Be
Shotgun Messiah – Heartbreak Boulevard
McQueen Street – Only the Wind
Fifth Angel – Midnight Love

I listened to this one today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Has more of a modern rock feel to it than what I usually listen to. Musically it's heavier than her last album but the songs retain plenty of melody. Nicely produced, with nothing I'd really consider as filler material. I think this release is a nice step forward for her.

Primal Fear's upcoming new album 'Metal Commando' was produced by Mat Sinner and is due out July 24th via Nuclear Blast Records. I'm digging the latest track I Am Alive

decent tune, at least it's better than the lead single off the last album

always cool to hear something new from these guys, even if it isn't one of their better efforts

new track is just OK for me, bit of a letdown after the great first single though

New video for ' The Both Of Us'.
I agree with the overall consensus on this release. A couple of good tracks like this one, but too many mediocre songs and an overall lackluster sound prevents the album from being a keeper for me.

new track sounds pretty good to me

After enjoying their last album, Heart of the Hurricane, I had fairly high expectations for this release. But unlike a few other bands this year, Beyond the Black delivered. This might not appeal to everyone on the forum, but is highly recommended for fans of female fronted modern rock with some symphonic metal influences. While they still have a foot firmly planted in hard rock/metal this moves the band a little further towards the commercial side of the genre. The tracks 'Misery' and 'I Won't Surrender' are good examples of that, as I could easily see those songs being performed by a number of female, pop artists. The album has several stand out tracks, but my initial favorites would be the title track, 'Welcome to My Wasteland', 'Golden Pariahs' and 'Wounded Healer'. This one has a good chance of ending up in my top 10 this year.

Good to see Tommy is still actively making music. I always felt he brought a lot of the energy to those early Tesla albums which has been lacking on recent material. I gave this a spin today and thought it was a decent album. Some moments naturally remind of Tesla, but with a little rawer feel, almost like a bit of old G n' R sprinkled in here and there. The vocals seemed a little buried in the mix though. And unfortunately none of the songs really stuck with me. Worth checking out for fans of Tesla and especially of Tommy, but initially this one misses the mark for me.

Just thought I'd bump this after starting to see some positive reviews and knowing that the band has started sending out pre-orders early.
Looking forward to getting this one as I've really dug the first two songs. Reminds me of 80's era Judas Priest mixed with Skid Row or something.
sounding good to me as well, I've enjoyed all 3 tracks and plan to order a copy of the EP to support the band's efforts

This looks pretty cool. I saw a few YT videos with some music artists talking about it or unboxing it. I'm sure they had it comp'd and their opinions are pretty biased. Nevertheless the videos gave a glimpse of some of the great photos and stories that are included.

Does anyone watch Metal Mayhem on Mtv Classics? i'm curious if anyone notices they play the exact same videos every week, Iron Maiden, Ratt, Dio, and Lita Ford, and they are always the exact same videos, no variation.
I haven't watched recently, but awhile back I had set it to record regularly and to my dismay I noticed the same thing. I don't know if it has something to do with permissions or financial reasons, but with the massive library they should have to choose from I expected a lot more variety. One of those cases where telling people that if you've seen one episode you've seen them all isn't a stretch.

new song isn't as good as the first single, but still a solid track

You have to grab Screw It & Cockroach dude, proper party time fun melodic rock...great tunes on both imho
Agreed
Cockroach is my favorite, but both albums are great. And with Cockroach you don't have to wonder how the tracks would have sounded with the other guy on vocals. You're able to listen to both Ted's and Paul's interpretations and decide for yourself which is better

Freewheelin' is the heaviest album. It's closer to Stoner Rock than Funk Metal.
That describes it well. I thought Freewheelin' was a pretty good album and seemed like a logical next step for the band musically. But Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride remains their best, in my opinion.

yeah, that first track sounds excellent

sad and surprising news, he never really got a lot of recognition but his resume speaks for itself, RIP Bob

thanks for sharing, I'm not familiar with these guys at all, but sounds pretty good

My top 5 debuts of the past 15 years are
WOA - Artwork
Brother Firetribe - False Metal
The Magnificent
One Desire
Night Flight Orchestra - Internal Affairs
4 hours ago, Glen said:4 are correct but I'd swap The Magnificent for The Defiants
I'd have Vega, Cats in Space and Degreed ahead too.
I think that might be worth starting a thread for, if there isn't one already. And you both picked albums worthy of consideration. I'd probably slide WOA and NFO down a bit, good albums, just personal preference. My top 5 debuts during that time frame would be
Brother Firetribe
The Magnificent
One Desire
First Signal
W.E.T.
But could just as easily have included one of the D2 guys projects as Marcello Vestry, Tokyo Motor Fist and The Defiants all put out great debuts.
Tokyo Motor Fist - Lions
in AOR and Hard Rock

First spin and really liking this album. The Leppard influences are still noticeable from the the layered vocals to the riffs. Production is improved and the songs seem a little more varied in style, especially after track 4. From the keyboard solo on the title track to a saxophone solo on another. Steve's playing really stands out throughout. Reminding me of Clark/Collen on many tracks, but also Vito Bratta came to mind during parts of 'Decadence on 10th Street' and 'Sedona'. My initial favorites are 'Youngblood', 'Sedona', 'Blow Your Mind', 'Monster In Me', and 'Winner Takes All'.
