  1. I got nothing here....Another year when I just listened to my collection.
  2. For me it's Hinder's Take it to the Limit. Loved that album.
  3. This one is Daughtry for me.....Dug his first few albums.
  4. Unsurprising, but Def Leppard for me. Have to say again that this album is one that's grown on me over the years as I didn't care much for it when it dropped. But as I look back now, it basically blows away the albums that came after it IMO (Sparkle and S/T). At least this album still had a big Def Leppard sound to it even if it was a bit too commercial.
  5. Listening to the metallic blue album now...sounding real good! How many albums do they have? What would you say is their best?
  6. Another tough year....don't remember spending much time with any of these. Can't even pick one. I must've spent all year just listening to my collection of CD's.
  7. I'll go Leppard. Didn't love this album by any means but few good tunes at least.
  8. Man, tough year as I liked basically nothing here. I'll say Fuel though as I dug Shimmer quite a bit so will give that the nod.
  9. Agree. I mean, I really dig rhe more melodic tunes like Hail to the Heroes, Loves Damnation, Lovers Train and Clear the Blur. I kind of don't mind Primeval Desire even though that does get a bit screamy. Children of the Night has grown on me a little bit. The two songs with "Rock n Roll" in the title are both instant skips for me, as is I'm Not the Devil. Also don't care much for the Shamans of Time tune. If these guys would done a whole album full of tunes more geared toward melodic hard rock like the 4 I mentioned, they really would've had an outstanding album. Still pretty good though and a band worth watching to see what direction they head in.
  10. Yeah, the musical interlude in Radio is starting to bug me a little bit with more listens. I'd replace Radio with Turn Back after more listens. Really liking that tune.
  11. Gave this album a listen. It's okay but I really only found 4 songs that will be added to my playlist....Love's Damnation, Clear The Blur, Lovers Train and Hail To The Heroes. I really dig that title track....Just fantastic. These guys have a cool sound and the singer can belt it out. But my problem is that he just screams a bit too much for my liking sometimes. He's clearly a good singer as you can hear that in some of the songs. I think the tunes I like best are when he sort of stays under control in the more melodic hard rock songs. It's the screaming and the more metal tunes that lose me. I'll keep eyes on these guys as IMO there's potential to do a really killer album if they sort of dial it back just a bit and stick to melodic hard rock for the entire album. Here's a new video they released today....good tune...
  12. I guess I'd pick Tesla but didn't care all that much for that album. I know I spent 1994 listening to CD's that had come out in previous years.
  13. Not a great year at all. I'll say Def Leppard even though when Slang came out, I hated it. It's grown on me over the years though.
  14. Tough one as there isn't much here that did all that much for me. I'd probably say Poison.
  15. Huge Leppard fan and did dig Adrenalize.... But it's Warrant's Dog Eat Dog for me here.
  16. I couldn't agree more with you guys. It's well done for what it is I guess. But I listened to that and have zero desire to listen to it again. It's just boring. it's just not catchy and nothing about it moves me or gets stuck in my head. It probably doesn't help that I've been listening to Degreed today which is so catchy and well done and then I click on this. It's nowhere in the same league as Degreed. It's kind of ironic. Gronwall was at the top of his game with HEAT when Degreed signed onto Gronwall's management company for some direction. Now it seems Gronwall is the one who could use some direction. I'm glad he's back making music and healthy. But for me this is an utter waste of talent.
  17. Couple listens on this.... For me, even after only a couple listens, I feel like this is already my favorite album of theirs top to bottom. Catchy tunes, nice variety and the sonics also stand out to me. I feel like a lot of these songs are the types of songs that should be played on mainstream rock radio today if radio played any decent music. I know we could say that about a lot of bands but these guys just have a commercial vibe about them. They're like a much cooler version of Daughtry or something....or I guess more like what Daughtry should be going for lol. I'd say my early favs are Into The Fire, Higher, Radio, Falling Down and Lost in Paradise. But it's all well done IMO and really like the more focused approach here. And glad there are no instrumentals taking away from the pacing like the last album
