A day of 2 halves for sure - England were tremendous this morning especially Harmison's bowling. Aussies all out for 190 by 2 o'clock!!!. The less said about the afternoon session the better. McGrath was awesome this session. Tomorrow should be an interesting day. If England can get to the 140-150 mark then game still definately on. Just remind me, This is a test match not a one dayer isn't it???

Hey Dave - I'm here waiting mate. Can't wait for the start of things tomorrow. Enough has been said in the papers etc, just witnessed Mcgrath saying you'll beat us 5-0 - oh the poor deluded old man. Just want to enjoy the matches and hope the weather stays good aswell. Here's me wishing you Aussies all the best (but not that much) and hope it's a great series. I think we might surprise a few of you.

Haha I know that feeling BUT given Wotty's, Geoff's and T-Bone's (nice overview of the band TB) I have had to put stuff on the back burner to check this out.....like food and beer.... (priorites priorities!!!) Just ordered it this minute....oooooh I'm excited...now I gotta wait a little for the Wig Wam CD <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nick You should have gone for the Wig Wam first mate - A much better album. The Blanc Faces is good, but so far lacks the one killer track I was expecting from it. Have to agree that it does dip in the middle and gets a little samey in places. Worth you hard earned cash though, but I know which of these 2 albums will get more play time!!!

I think the Sin Dizzy CD is titled "He's Not Dead." Don't quote me, however. Petra - "On Fire" has been getting some play in my car lately, and it's very good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're right, it's called He's Not Dead... I just heard God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You from Petra and was quite surprised! Never new that Kiss covered it from them. Since the Kiss version was entitled God Gave... II i kinda figured it must be a cover version, but didn't know it was Petra. Lyrics are slightly altered I think, but still Kiss covering a Christian band is kinda fun! Like the Kiss version a lot more though... btw, does someone know where I can get Novella? Heard the song Coming Home and I really like it, but I can't download it anywhere and I haven't seen the cd for sale anywhere... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dusty Just for you info Re. 'God Gave'. This is a Russ Ballard song from 'All Together Now' an album from Argent in 1972 , Petra covered it in 1977 and later Kiss as you point out.

Jez my friend , a hit out for our batsmen is all that was required and yes what a great effort by that batsman to make a double century !!!!! Where is he from ????? Oh shit , he is from Australia. You should do what you can to get him nationalised as a British citizen as quick as possible to bolster your batting line up Is Dizzy still a concern ??????? Everytime the Aussies don't get an expected result the excuses come flying. They would have wanted to win against Leicestershire as any team competing wants to do - TO WIN!!! A hit out it may have been, but if a 2nd division batsman can hit a double century against you then, I can honestly say that doesn't exactly fill me with fear for the upcoming games. You also cannot afford to carry players in this situation, Gillespie has had plenty of time now to hit form and he just ain't there. If he don't fire then you are one player short already. Better to put in Kasprovich to be safe good player that he is.

I have 'Drops of Jupiter' and 'My Private Nation' and like them both - play them quite often. Definately not talentless either.

Cool, although I won't be selling mine. I was playing it in the car the other day and it really is a great album.

White Spirit - S/T (Re-issue + bonus disc of Demos/ B' Sides I've had this on Jap import for years now as it has never been released outside Japan before now. It's just been issued by Sanctuary with an excellent second disc of rareties, so nows your chance to blag this fabulous album. Bloody brilliant stuff from 1980 - Imagine a more pompy Deep Purple crossed with Styx/Kansas and you'll be somewhere there. buy it -you won't regret it I assure you.

Dave - I doubt anyone including the Aussies would beat the All Blacks at the moment, so no disgrace there. Still the world cup was rather good - remind me who won that???. Am really looking forward to the Tests now, should be a great series. If the Aussies lose they have absolutely no excuses now as they proclaim to be in full working order. We shall see. My prediction is a 3-2 win for the Aussies but as I said from the start they should win on paper as they and everyone else proclaimed to be the best when they arrived here (and you wouldn't have bet against them). Over the last few weeks I have changed my opinion on them and don't think they are as good as they were, and more importantly the English team is a lot better and may surprise a few people along the way- Here's to a great hard fought battle.

It ain't over yet. Even though Gillespie took 3 wickets today, he is still far from what he used to be, as with Gough, I think his days are numbered and should be replaced for the Test matches. England on the other hand need to Fire and attack from the beginning, not try to see off McGrath/ Lee - playing safe don't work against the Aussies. I think the one dayers have been interesting, one match England dishing out a good thrashing (less than a week ago) and now the Aussies doing the same. Should be a very interesting couple of months ahead and don't take it for granted it's all going to be one way traffic.

A great album for sure but I think 'Tales Of Wonder' is even better. Don't forget The Brave's - 'Battlecries' aswell.

English fair play and all that. If the better team wins, which they did yesterday then good on em'. I still think that the tests are going to be a lot closer than certain people think. As long as ALL the English team fire then it could be really close. I have real worries about Gillespie though, i seriously think he hasn't got it for what lies ahead, and think that a blunder is being made if Hussey doesn't play!!That being said you've got the blonde Pie eater to join the team yet so who knows what could happen when he gets there.!
