This is one of those weird ones where an artist went an entirely different route musically. Rose Tattoo released the album Beats from a single drum in 1986 which was a total change from their AC/DC style rock sound to a smoother, more AOR/pop rock sound. The album was re-released three years later as an Angry Anderson solo album after this song was famously used in 1988 as the wedding song in Aussie soap opera, Neighbours and actually scored Angry a huge hit in the UK singles chart.

The Anastacia version is pretty great as Pop tracks go.
What I think is very cool about this cover is one line that they completely changed while still paying a tribute to the original.
In the original, Anastacia refers to herself in a particular line and Jaded Heart rework it to do the same.
A nice Easter egg.
That's quite a common thing to do when a song, in the rare instances it is done, that the artist mentions themselves. Also when artists change pronouns. (Can you imagine a male artist singing "When i saw him standing there" )
One of the most obvious is Fight for your right by the Beastie Boys. The line "Ah mom you're just jealous wer'e the Beastie Boys". Teenage Casket Company change it to TCC, Ballbreaker change it to Ballbreaker Boys but my fave is Trixter who change it to "Ah mom you're just jealous cause daddy likes boys"

My neighbours knocked on my door at 3am this morning, which I thought was a bit inconsiderate.
Luckily I was already awake playing Invincible shield at full volume.

Under what name?
He has only posted a small teaser so far, and the graphics on the screen say Maxx Factory.
I think that is what he calls his drum school, but maybe wrong. So maybe he is using that as a band name.. guess we will have to wait a week.

Hessu apparently has a song coming out on 29th.
Not much detail on what it will entail other than a small snippet, but it's possible he is doing vocals.

No idea why it quoted twice

Looks like it's their go to price. All the 4 disc editions are either £90 or £95.
For me 4 discs should be no more than £50

No "The Eternal Idol", so it's not a complete collection.
Why bother.
Maybe Warner Bros won't give them rights. Does seem weird though to exclude his first album with them.

I loved the debut album, but the few albums I bought after that are not in my collection anymore as thought they were horrible and never went back to his catalogue.

£95 seems a bit lumpy.

One of my fave covers. Could not give a shit about the original, but JH turned it into a monster of a tune

The movie "Black Roses" from 1988 was decent enough, but the soundtrack was phenomenal.
This track is MHR ballad perfection, which is not surprising considering the vocalist.
I remember I either bought the VHS back in the day or rented it, but beyond that I remember absolutely nothing about the film ha ha

Cool cover. Kind of odd releasing preorders without dropping a single along with the announcement though IMO.
I dig a lot of tunes from this band but at the same time their last release didn't do a whole lot for me outside of a couple songs. I think Never, Switchblade Sister and The Last One are the only songs I really revisit in my playlists. I I'd like to see them kind of turn up the production a bit, use more backing vocals, maybe add more variety in songs, etc. For me, their more melodic songs like Paint By Numbers, Got It Bad, In Our Blood, Forever, The One, Cold Star Dancer, etc are some of their best stuff.
Definitely will be checking this out as I feel like these guys are a talented band that's done some good tunes.
Seize the day is probably my fave song from them.
As for the last album, for me it suffers from one huge problem, and its the same problem for most albums I bought around the same time, I don't remember what its like and in some cases dont even remember buying them. This was smack bang in the middle of my cancer/brain issues. I have tried revisiting a lot from this period, but with so many new purchases since then its hard to play stuff I dont even remember.
