One of the best deluxe versions out there was the one they did for New Jersey, ten years ago.
Bonus tracks on the main disc, a second disc of bonus tracks, Access all areas on DVD and also New Jersey the videos on DVD as well.
Why they did not do one for Slippery is beyond me.
The only thing I would say is, considering the box set they put out 20 years ago, I am not sure what else there is out there to release. And unless it's a live concert from the Slippery tour, I sure as shit aint interested in random live tracks as bonuse tracks.

Certain bands just feel it is better to live off live dates playing their hits rather than record new albums.
Poison has not recorded an original album since 2002 and a covers album in 2007.
Motley Crue has only recorded a handful of new tracks since their last studio album in 2008.
Slaughter have not recorded an album as a band since 1999
Vixens last studio album was 2006

There was actually a band he was in before Firehouse as well, but it was far removed from their sound. Maxx Warrior was old school heavy metal, and CJ went by the name Carl Snare back then. He is a transcript of a write up Dave Reynolds did in 1985 in Metal Forces Magazine.

Album finally arrived. Played it once today and have to say it sounds good, but so far not a patch on the debut.
My biggest complaint though is it seemed overly short. A little over 35mins is incredibly short. Could have done with at least two more tracks.

64 is too young. So sad for his loved ones. He will be missed.
Yup. Most of our heroes should not be dying yet. It's always expected that some will go from substance related issues, but sadly things like cancer don't care how old you are or what your status in life is.
We have lost far too many far too young.

Just saw this on Michael Sweets FB. He didn't go into the cause but it sadly does not surprise me that it was cancer. It's such a sad situation as 64 really is no age to die, but as I know from personal experience, cancer really does not discriminate.
Sorry for his family and friends.

Today is my 2nd rebirthday. Two years ago today I had my stem cell transplant that totally restarted my system from scratch.

Been reading up a bit more on this and there may actually be less in the sale than initially reported.
Most of Kiss' back catalogue is owned by Universal, with potentially only Monster and Sonic Boom being owned by the band. The Publishing rights were sold to another company a long time ago.
Pophouse though has said they will be working with Universal as they have the artists rights.

What is particularly hilarious about this is the comments section on FB is pretty much people saying how bad it is. Now when there are usually any bad comments on FB, Michael Sweet comes swooping in on his winged battle unicorn to smite anyone who disagrees with him. I can only assume from his silence that he agrees it is shit.

OOPS, didn't see your post bud... But I think Motleys was a total sell off too..
I don't believe so. All articles around the time just said the music catalogue. And let's not forget the whole recent debacle with Mick Mars over touring income comes down to the fact they still own the name.

I was just about to post this. I don't mind a bit of old school rap, but this style is utter shite.
Will say though is this the kinda people Stryper attract on FB?

Everybody is selling off their catalogue these days. And I agree, $300 mil seems a bit low. Considering how much Gene loves money.
Said this on FB, but I think when artists get to a certain age it makes sense for them to sell off their assets as they aint gonna be around that much longer. Yes they could transfer the rights to their offspring, but that means work for them and whose to say what their kids/grandkids would actually do with them. And much better to take the money and give that to them in your will anyway.

I dunno, I reckon $300 million sounds a bit low for all that.
I agree. When you consider back in 2021 Motley Crue sold their catalog for $150mil, and that includes a lot less music, no rights to the name or image and no logo rights, $300mil seems like the bargain of a lifetime.
As much as I am a massive Crue fan, even I will admit that Kiss is a much bigger deal.

I read the trash bag story years ago, so have known it was that for pretty much as long as I can remember.
I bought the Japanese version years ago so haven't owned the more famous album in decades.
