  2. From blabbermouth.net: Swedish hard rockers BULLET will release their new album, "Storm Of Blades", on September 5 in Europe and Sepember 9 in North America via Nuclear Blast. The band's fifth longplayer marks the first recording to feature BULLET's new guitar player Alexander Lyrbo, who replaced Erik Almström in 2012. "This is a fast and heavy back-to-the-roots album," the band comments. "A lot of the feeling, BULLET had in the beginning is there but with a up-to-date sound and craftsmanship. "Now with the young blood Alex on the guitar, always thirsty for metal, the songs ended up just like that: Heavier, faster and more raw than on previous albums. We can now at last truthfully say; this is our best album this far and most likely the rawest since the 'Heavy Metal Highway' recording in 2002” BULLET came up with the "Storm Of Blades" album title during a soundcheck before a show last year. "We wanted to make the toughest BULLET song ever and this riff popped up," says the band. "The first impression was the image of knifes falling from the sky and the title 'Storm Of Blades' was born. To make this song the title track of our new album became a must as it is a tale about destruction, apocalypse and horror!" "Storm Of Blades" was recorded during December/January 2014 and April/May 2014 at the Pama Studio in Torsås, Sweden. It was produced by BULLET and Magnus "Mankan" Sedenberg. Immediately after making several summer festival appearances and the album release, BULLET will hit the road again, with two well-chosen support bands. "STALLION and STRIKER will be our fellow hellraisers on the first leg, and this tour should not let a fan of heavy metal music down," says BULLET. "We will raise hell, we will drink beer, we will bang our heads together and kill grunge... again! Prepare for the storm of blades!" Tracklist: 01. Uprising 02. Storm Of Blades 03. Riding High 04. 4. New album out August 5th. From blabbermouth.net: For KIX, not recording any new music for two decades has been far too long. Fans have made it known for years that they want new music. And now, the time has finally come. The Maryland band is primed and ready to "Rock Your Face Off" with their seventh new album, set for release August 5 on Loud & Proud Records. It's everything fans know and love them for: a raucous, roaring and real display of rock 'n' roll. The first single, "Love Me With Your Top Down", will be released to radio and online retail outlets later this month. Eddie Trunk will exclusively world premiere the song during his "Friday Night Rocks" radio show originating from Q104.3 (heard in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut) this Friday, June 20 from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET. It will then air via his numerous North American syndicated affiliates on Saturday, June 20 and he'll play it on Monday, June 23 during his "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" show that airs on SiriusXM's "Hair Nation" channel (39) at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. As guitarist Brian "Damage" Forsythe explains: "When we first played 'Love Me With Your Top Down' live just a few months ago, it went over like gangbusters with the fans. It's a catchy little tune with classic KIX flavor, a perfect choice for the first taste of the record." What makes the new album even more exciting and anticipated is that it features most of the band's original lineup: Steve Whiteman (vocals), Brian "Damage" Forsythe (guitar), Ronnie "10/10" Younkins (guitar), Jimmy "Chocolate" Chalfant (drums), with the exception of Mark Schenker (bass). With "Rock Your Face Off", KIX stirs up their truest statement to date in 2014. "It's still hot women, fast cars, and great moments," concludes Whiteman. "I want everybody to end up on their feet, whether they're working out or stuck in rush hour traffic. This is a release, something to lift your spirits when you need it. You can party to this one." KIX gracefully eased back into the public consciousness in 2008. After sold-out hometown gigs, the quintet hit the stage at Rocklahoma in front of over 20,000 people, venturing out of the Mid-Atlantic for the first time in 13 years. The band was hailed by many music web sites and attendees as "Best Performance" at the festival, where they played alongside SAMMY HAGAR, ALICE COOPER, TESLA, QUEENSRŸCHE, RATT, and more. After capturing their fiery reunion on 2012's "Live In Baltimore" CD and DVD, the band agreed to enter the studio once again. "In many ways, this is for the KIX diehards as much as it is for us," guitarist Brian Forsythe explains. "When we started doing this again, tons of fans came out of the woodwork. They'd show up with their kids, and it was just incredible to see. We had to deliver for them." In order to deliver, the band enlisted the talents of producer Taylor Rhodes (AEROSMITH, OZZY OSBOURNE), with whom they had last collaborated on 1991's "Hot Wire". Also, for the first time in the group's history, each member contributed to the writing process, fostering an extremely creative and free environment in the studio. A new dawn commenced as they simultaneously harnessed their classic spirit. "It was more free-flowing because everybody got to write and come up with ideas," says singer Steve Whiteman. "We encouraged this new freedom within the creative process." https://www.facebook.com/OfficialKIX Tracklist: 1. Wheels In Motion 2. You’re Gone 3. Can’t Stop The Show 4. Rollin’ In Honey 5. 7. New album out July 4th (Frontiers Records) From frontiers.it: The 36th new studio album “Now” Iconic rock band Chicago to release 36th album “Now” Chicago XXXVI in July via Frontiers Records Over 60 U.S. and European shows scheduled for the summer. CHICAGO—one of the longest running, successful and iconic rock bands in American musical history—is set to release their 36th album “NOW” CHICAGO XXXVI in Europe on July 4th and in the U.S. July 8 via Frontiers Records. Featuring 11 brand-new, original songs from the group known for their groundbreaking rock-with-horns sound, “NOW” CHICAGO XXXVI was written and recorded on the road during the band’s rigorous, never-ending tour schedule, playing for fans who have supported them since they formed in 1967. Putting aside an awesome accumulation of honors, awards, accomplishments, numbers and peer respect, this remarkable group of talented musicians continues to make history with a new recording process geared towards musical excellence, doing the business of music “NOW,” while reckoning with the logistical realities of a world-wide touring band. Produced by CHICAGO—founding members ROBERT LAMM (keyboard, guitars, vocals), LEE LOUGHNANE (trumpet, guitar, percussion, vocals), JAMES PANKOW (trombone, percussion, keyboards, vocals), WALTER PARAZAIDER (woodwinds, backing vocals) along with JASON SCHEFF (bass, vocals), TRIS IMBODEN (drums, percussion), KEITH HOWLAND (guitars, vocals), LOU PARDINI (keyboards, vocals) and WALFREDO REYES, Jr., (percussion)—the album was recorded on “the Rig,” the band’s customized mobile recording system. Each songwriter oversaw the production of their compositions, and the band collaborated as a cohesive unit throughout the writing and recording process. Pre-orders for “NOW” CHICAGO XXXVI are available on the band's website here: http://chicago-now.com/ and will also be available soon via Amazon and iTunes. Of the new album and the band’s continued growth and evolution, LAMM says, “There’s certainly more context, and there’s certainly more musical ability, and perception rather than youthful naivete that we had when we started.” LOUGHNANE says, “Thank goodness, we have 46 years of track record behind us. We’re just trying to grow the legacy even more.” The band—as always—will tour heavily in 2014 to support the new album. “Outside of being creative and making new music, going out, doing even better shows, I think we’ve put together a show right now that’s the best one we’ve ever had out there, which, as long as that curve is going up, I don’t think we have to sit back and re-assess things,” says PARAZAIDER. Check out the album’s EPK here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOH5g4s_V7k Originally formed as the CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY in 1967, the band found almost immediate success and have become a bona fide institution of American music. Their signature sound of solid rock songs augmented by the best horns in the business has endeared them to several generations of music fans. Hit singles include “If You Leave Me Now,” “Saturday In The Park,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “Beginnings,” “I’m A Man,” “Hard To Say I’m Sorry,” “(I’ve Been) Searching So Long,” “Look Away,” “Just You And Me” and “Old Days,” among others. The band has accumulated a total of 47 gold and platinum records awards. “47 years later and to think that people - young people especially, but all ages, are actually still discovering Chicago's music!," says PANKOW. "People have become fed up with all of the robotic programmed junk and they come to our shows to hear and witness the real thing - gifted veteran musicians with serious chops - no smoke and mirrors or lip-syncing. Wow, what a concept!" https://www.facebook.com/Chicago.Official Tracklist: --Now --More Will Be Revealed --America --Crazy Happy --Free At Last --Love Lives On --Something’s Coming, I Know --Watching All The Colors --Nice Girl --Naked In The Garden of Allah --Another Trippy Day
