  1. Bret Michaels - Back in the Day

Poison lead vocalist Bret Michaels has unveiled a video for his brand new single / the “road trip anthem” “Back In The Day.” The new single was written by Michaels and guitarist Pete Evick. The duo played all the instruments on the new song except for the rhythm guitar played by Norman Voss and harmonies contributed by Meri Schaeffer. Evick produced and engineered the new track.

Michaels states “’Back In The Day’ is truly a modern day throwback to a feel good road trip anthem. The video reflects an image of early MTV videos with green screen, pop up captions and never-before-seen photos and never-before-seen original Hi-8 images of my youth. It is a song that truly reflects on great times and pays homage to the radio stations and DJs that cranked up the music and brought us great songs that have withstood the test of time, that all my friends and I would sing along to then and now.” Bret continues, “Music is a universal language meant to unite us not divide us and that is exactly what this song is about and it’s a hell of a lot of fun to sing along to as is the video to watch as it weaves a story of my life and the music that rocked it!”

    Blah!!!! Fucking sorry ass Ravens!

That goal line call was shit all the way around; why the fuck do you have your QB trying to jump/sneak the ball across the line when you have JK Dobbins? 🤦‍♂️

I can’t remember the last time I’ve cussed that much watching a sporting event.

Greg Roman has got to go, and if Harbaugh wants to stand up for his OC, he can fucking go too!

If we slap the Franchise tag on Lamar and he wants to sit out, fuck him too. Might be time to blow this shit up and start fresh…

  3. KINGOFTHEHILL (KOTH) have reunited with all original members, lead singer Frankie, Jimmy Griffin (Guitar), Vito Bono (Drums), and George Postos (Bass).  In 1990, KOTH signed a major label record deal with SBK Records (a subsidiary of EMI Music).  With a popular MTV Music video for “I Do U” and “If I Say”and continuous touring throughout 1991, KOTH were digging their heels in deep climbing the burgeoning walls of the life of Rock-n-Roll stars.

KINGOFTHEHILL has inked a deal with FnA Records out of Nashville, TN, to release two albums. The first album contains tracks that were slated to be on the bands sophomore release, which never did happen as the music landscape changed almost overnight.  The second release is an EP of 7 tracks plus some unreleased live material. Both albums are due out on January 31, 2023.  KINGOFTHEHILL frontman Frankie Muriel says ““We are so excited for KINGOFTHEHILL to join the FnA Records family and finally have the opportunity to give the fans a chance to hear these long-bootlegged albums - after all these years the way they were intended to be; and to revisit the vault and release some new compilations of rarities, live shows and bonus tracks! “

This St. Louis, Missouri-based four-piece heavy metal outfit began life on the local club circuit as a covers band - Initially known as Broken Toyz, the band gradually introduced original material into their set, until the demand for their own songs allowed them to drop the cover versions entirely. They signed a recording contract in 1990, and, having adopted the name King Of The Hill, recorded their self-titled debut with Bang Tango producer Howard Benson. The album mixed party metal in the grand Van Halen style with funk influences, while also touching on AOR, with vocal harmonies that echoed Bon Jovi. The opening single, ‘I Do U’, as well as the second single “If I Say”, had major rotation on MTV and crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. With major backing from their record label the band spent much of 1991 on the road, touring with White Lion, Trixter, Lynch Mob and Steelheart in the USA, and received a rapturous reception as Extreme’s guests on their autumn UK tour. This, the band’s first live work outside their own country, served to sharpen their performing abilities, with the charismatic Muriel becoming the visual focus of the band, drawing comparisons to both David Lee Roth and Prince, not least for his multiple costume changes throughout each show.

KINGOFTHEHILL return to the stage for a full reunion show on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2023 (8 p.m.) At the Diamond Music Hall, Saint Peters, Missouri.

FnA Records, a well established 80’s/90’s Retro Label, are thrilled beyond belief to be working with KOTH. “We can’t wait for the fans to hear the growth of the band and what would’ve been their second album”, states FnA.

FnA Records will be releasing both albums via CD, Fan Pack (autographed CD package), and digital download.

  4. Damn, RIP Jeff… 78 still seems too young. 🙁

Jeff Watson had a nice story on his FB page:

I’m absolutely gutted by the passing of my lifelong hero and globally amazing guitarist Jeff Beck.
My first encounter was when I was a kid backstage at a Day On The Green show in Oakland in the ’70s, and as I only had a ’Guest’ pass, couldn’t hang with the bands or access dressing rooms….
So, as Jeff was walking out through the tunnel onto stage, I called out to him, he looked up, and I showed him my Howard Roberts heavy sharp pointed guitar pick, and he put out his hands to catch it. He had a look, strummed his Strat a couple times with it, then threw me his pick and went out and played his show to 52,000 people using my favorite guitar pick.
I was and still am forever indebted to Jeff for everything he ever did, and that first encounter changed the arc of my guitar career..
    R.I.P. JB…

According to Metal Sludge, original TIGERTAILZ frontman Steevi Jaimz suffered a "massive stroke" at the end of last month.

The 60-year-old Jaimz, who was born Steven Denham, suffered the stroke two days before Christmas, on December 23, 2022, at 4:30 a.m. He was rushed to an area hospital where he was admitted for several days. Jaimz is now said to be at home resting and on prescribed medications with strict doctor's orders to stay home and try to get healthy.

Jaimz told Metal Sludge: "I am gonna beat this… and word has it diabetes was the root of it all!" He added that he was home on "heavy meds" and recuperating as best he can considering the serious circumstances.

Last October, Jaimz performed TIGERTAILZ's seminal debut album "Young And Crazy",in full at a one-off London show at the 229 Club.

The LP, which includes the anthems "Livin' Without You" and "Shoot To Kill", was responsible for bringing the British glam-punks to global attention.

Jaimz was joined at the concert by drummer Robin Guy (SHAM 69, RACHEL STAMP, BRUCE DICKINSON),bassist Rob Lane (BULLETBOYS, JETBOY, RYAN ROXIE) and guitarist Kai (ESPRIT D'AIR).

Since leaving TIGERTAILZ, Jaimz has toured across Europe, rocked festivals and released the albums "Damned If I Do… Damned If I Don't", "My Private Hell" and "Time Machine". This London concert marked his first return to the stage in over 10 years.
