For me, Take The Dog Off The Chain is an absolute killer track.
Would probably be in my top 20 all time songs
Wonder if it will make the live album?

Can't say for sure yet, as there's not a track listing anywhere that I can find, but it's not mentioned in the write up on the Perris website:

Release date to stores March 17th, 2023.

BABYLON A.D. Is Back! The new album “Live Lightning” Hits the streets March 17th, 2023 on Perris Records. The new album includes their top-ten rock-radio classic hits “Hammer Swings Down”, “Kid Goes Wild", “Bang Go The Bells” from their debut release, their hit “Bad Blood” from the “Nothing Sacred” album and songs from their studio albums “American Blitzkrieg”, “The Lost Sessions” and their last release “Revelation Highway” are all featured. The fourteen hard-rocking tracks on “Live Lightning” showcase the high-energy, powerful live performances that Babylon A.D. is renowned for. Formed in 1988, Babylon A.D. hail from the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Original members, Derek Davis vocalist/songwriter, guitarists’ and music writers John Mathews and Ron Freschi, drummer James Pacheco and bassist Robb Reid were all in childhood rival bands before they began playing together. In 1989 Babylon A.D. caught the attention of Arista Records president and industry music mogul “Clive Davis”, who signed them at a live showcase in Los Angeles thanks to their impressive three song demo and a home made video. Their self-titled album “Babylon A.D.” was released in 1990 and included their hard rock classic hits "Bang Go The Bells”, “Hammer Swings Down” and “The Kid Goes Wild”, which was the trailer song and promotional video for Orion Pictures (ROBO COP 2). The band scored three #1 songs at Metal Radio and reached Gold status on their first release, which spent 38 weeks on the Billboard top 200, peaking at # 46. Their sophomore effort (Nothing Sacred) released in 1992 produced two more top-ten metal rockers. “Bad Blood” and “So Savage the Heart”. Constant touring throughout the early 1990s and several MTV videos made them one of hard rock fans favorite bands. After spending several years with Arista Records the band signed with Apocalypse Records in 1999 and released “Live In Your Face”, a compilation of live tracks recorded at various cities’ across America. Their next release “American Blitzkrieg” soon followed in 2002 and both CDs were well received by critics and fans alike. In 2008 the band released Babylon A.D. "In The Beginning” on Perris Records, a compilation of songs from the original demo tapes that secured them their recording contract with Arista Records. After a long hiatus the band started playing and recording again in 2014. Touring across the States and Europe releasing three more albums, the latest “Revelation Highway” was released in 2018 on Frontiers Records. BABYLON A.D. Is BACK! And once again bringing their powerful hi-energy show and new CD to a city near you!

  2. From the Metal Church FB page:

Yes, the rumors are true, it's official! Please welcome vocalist Marc Lopes to the congregation! We auditioned a handful of vocalists and while they were all great, Marc quickly became the clear choice. Both David Wayne and Mike Howe had a very unique, irreplaceable quality to their voices, so we were not looking for a clone of either. We wanted someone new, who could embrace the past, and also bring something fresh and exciting to the mix. Marc brings a very classic yet modern feel to the songs and we are looking forward to getting this new album out to you later this year! Thank you for your continued support of Metal Church!  Love & respect, Kurdt Vanderhoof

Where do I say it's fact? I said my opinion is its a turd and I am sick of people saying I am wrong. See how that works?

Hell, I even started my post with everyone is entitled to their opinion, or did you totally skip that bit?

Did I tell anyone they are wrong?

You can throw “in my opinion “ or whatever variation of it you want into a post, and that doesn’t change the demeanor or tone of your post.  You don’t have to actually say the words “you’re wrong” to imply that someone is wrong because their opinion differs from yours. It’s all word play…

If you were specifically replying to someone in this thread who previously told you you were wrong in your opinion , perhaps quoting them would have added some clarity to your position. Otherwise, your post comes across just like those you’re arguing with… but that’s just my opinion. 😉

Everyone is gonna have their opinion, and they are entitled to it but don't try telling me I am wrong when I say X was a turd with one or two semi decent songs on it.  Hell even Sparkle lounge had more decent songs on it, and was still a let down.

Well gee, how could anyone tell you you’re wrong? Certainly not because you’re doing exactly what you just recently chastised others about in that cover songs thread, which is stating your opinion as if it were fact… 🤦‍♂️

  5. American%20Jetset%20%E2%80%93%20Love%20K

Just when you thought it was safe to board American Jetset, Baltimore’s antiheroes nose down into darker and more dangerous depths, as they unleash their capricious beast of an EP, Love Kills. It’s the soundtrack to the slasher flick in your head – the score to a horror film that never existed.

The disillusioned descendants of the Sunset Strip–era are creating a new arc in the evolution of 80s-inspired hard rock by animating a hybrid of lyrical and musical influences. These sleaze rock goth pop anthems will make the Love Kills EP an instant Jetset classic as it follows three nominations for Washington Area Music Awards for their previous release.

In 2022, the Jetset crew stormed through iconic venues alongside hard rock legends, including sold-out shows with Stephen Adler (Guns N' Roses) and Stephen Pearcy (Ratt) at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go. Their arena rock hooks and theatrical live show have earned the band extraordinary reviews and international airplay, all while developing a rabid fanbase in the US, UK, and abroad.

The band is back with Love Kills and out for blood in 2023. The caged adrenaline and rage of the EP is a wild ride on the darker side, and will no doubt be heard blasting from speakers wherever the real Monsters roam. The release is now available for pre-order on CD, vinyl, and digital from Big Curve Music and will be in stores on 2/14/23. American Jetset hits the road in the U.S in April and will embark on their first European tour in September.

  6. Thoroughly enjoyed X when it came out, and revisited it this year when DSH dropped, and found myself actually loving it even more.  Four Letter Word, Torn to Shreds, and Scar are some of the best songs they've ever done.  :drink:

With that said, DSH obviously resonated more with me than many here on the board; after a few listens, everything just started to "click", and I've played it over and over since it's release. :headbanger:

  8. Rat Pak Records

Not many bands can say they are releasing their third album thirty-five years after their debut, but not many bands have the history that California rockers Roxanne have. Originally formed in the late 80’s, Roxannegarnered commercial success with their 1988 self-titled debut album which was well received with two songs charting on rock radio; “Cherry Bay” and “Sweet Maria”, as well as a cover of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music.” The band is back with their first album of new material in five years and second for Rat Pak Records. Stereo Typical features ten brand new songs from the quartet comprised of Jamie Brown (Vocals, Guitar), John Butler (Guitar), Joe Infante (Bass) and Dave Landry (Drums). The new album also features guest appearance from Paul Gilbert of Mr. Big, dUg Pinnick of King’s X and Jeff Scott Soto. Stereo Typical is scheduled for release worldwide on February 24th.

From the driving intro of album opener “Stereotypical” to the anthemic outro of “Without A Rope,” Roxanne is back with their signature sound of rock-n-roll that garnered them a legion of fans in the late 80’s and continue to support them today. Tracks like “Gotta Live,” “The Cost Of Living” and “Until They Do” are chock full of memorable hooks and melodies. Mr. Big guitarist Paul Gilbert adds a blistering solo to the piano ballad “Looks Like Rain.” King’s X frontman dUg Pinnick offers his vocal talents to the catchy “Only A Call Away” and Jeff Scott Soto shines on the first single “Keep On Keepin’ On.
