  1. You also may want to check out LEVERAGE which is another Finnish band similiar (same vocalist) as BROTHER FIRETRIBE.

Sounds like you guys are alot like me......very picky in my old age. I love melodic rock with layered sound, lots of killer harmonies, keys and an uptempo stride.

Another interesting band that has not seen much attention is one named DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. They have alot of the elements you describe.

  2. Lookin at this thread.....whew!!!! Things have went all over the place. Glad everyone still has their day jobs cause most wouldn't make it in Vegas!!! LOL.

Hockey season is over for me this year. The Blues faded once again........when will it ever end???????

  3. I checked out a couple of tracks and it's not bad......but, the old man has one question! Is this just one of those download things or is there a CD out there somewhere?

No CD, then going nowhere in my book.

  4. I know the feeling.......I am constantly going downstairs and pulling CDs off the shelves to listen to. I find stuff constantly that I never ever remember having. There's been some really pleasant surprises when I've played some of them too. (Been some very dissappointing moments as well.....LOL. I've wondered to myself, where did I ever come up with this?)

  5. Being an AOR fan in general, I really didn't get excited after listening to this. The quality is good, but, I am at the stage of this game that I want to hear something that pulls my chain before buying another CD. I have to side with Dave on this one unless I hear something different from the band that makes me want to hear more.....

  6. For several years, I always noticed that the band 'TOXIC OSCAR' was listed as being a Canadian band. Actually, they are from the State of Georgia in the USA. Tony Gryner found a copy many years ago and put it on E Bay and everyone thought they were a Canadian band. I tracked the band and they are actually from the USA. Sometime when one of the administrators get a few minutes, you should probably change this info on the site!

  7.

My copy finally arrived today and I can't wait to slip it in for a whirl!!! Thanks again Stefan for putting me on to this one......

Delbert I couldn't tell if you were talking about a new cd, or a new girlfriend, you made it sound incredibly enjoyable either way!

LOL.....LOL......LOL......yeah, re-reading that, if this wasn't a CD forum it could be misconstrued, huh? Either way, it was enjoyable and I love this new album from FREE SPIRIT. They have a unique and different sound.

  8. Yep, I've got it. Bought it a few years ago from Target Records in Germany. It's a good one, so buy in faith. :)

Btw.: They released a second CD 3 years later called "One Smile".

Whatcha think Bernd? That second release just wasn't up to the quality of this first one?

  9. Has anyone picked up the Japanese pressing of the new LOVER UNDER COVER "Into The Night" CD? It has a bonus track and I was curious if anyone has listened to it and can post their opinion. I've ordered the CD from Japan because of that bonus track. The Euro version is killer in my opinion.
