But that doesn't mean of course that there aren't any great AI songs. I recently created a thread dedicated to AI songs, and other users have already posted some pretty good songs. -

That's more or less what it does. True AI doesn't exist because computers are incapable of the spontaneity required to produce original ideas. In order to generate songs, art, etc., the programs look at preexisting works and uses common patterns between them to create something "new." In a way, it's like glorified plagiarism. -
I don't know much about AI music. I feel like AI just steals from regular artists and tweaks it and calls it something else.
