I don't hate any of those bands for carrying on without their most famous singer, I just don't think any of them are that good anymore as their singer was the main creative force as well. I find any post Jani Warrant to just be dull and uninspired. Gotthard though is the only one that actually got a singer that sounded like their original, but they just do not have the writing chops that Steve had. Twisted Sister really is not a good comparison here, as Love is for suckers was not a TS album. It was a Dee solo album, and the record label made him release it under the bands name. This was why there was such a massive shift in sound. The band had pretty much already fragmented by then. (Oh and it wasn't the original line up as AJ had already left and was replaced by Joey Franco). It's covered in both the Wacken DVD and in Dee's autobiography. They only toured the album for about a month then Dee quit. Oh and as for Falling In Reverse ... I fucking hate that band, so they would not make my head explode. 😛 -

Wow, a lot of hate for gotthard current line up I like all of their stuff, including recent stuff. Also like great white post jack and warrant post Jani etc. good music is good music, but if you go in with expectations based on the past you'll always be disappointed. That includes bands with the same line up. Recall motley being slammed from SATD to 'going lipstick glam" Twisted sister were slammed for going commercial post stay hungry. Def Lep and slang, Kiss repeatedly over the years Etc I wonder how many heads exploded when people bought the new Falling In Reverse and played from track 1 lol 😛
