I'm trying to find out what group played the Beacon Theater in NYC on December, 31, 1974, a old friend has a ticket stub which only shows the date and can't remember what group it was. I did a few searches and came up with nothing ? Any help would be great...thanks in advance...

There's a possibility that it's NEW YORK DOLLS, there's a portion of statement in Wikipedia, that they're playing on New Year's Eve 1975, so it's either the next year after that, or it's the exact date you're asking, but I will try to keep digging

The stub says December 31, 1974 10:00 PM show, so I guess with a opening act , the show could have ran into 1975. But, I just gave him a call and doesn't remember ever seeing the DOLLS, which doesn't mean he didn't, just that he doesn't remember. I found a site that had all the FILLMORE EAST shows listed and matched up the dates he had. You would think a Beacon Theater list would be out there somewhere. Thanks for your help, I'm going to do some more searching tonight..
