Kool, just downloading the album!! Tc
-
I quite like it. i loved 'Cant get there from here'. But they are def lacking a forth gear! Need a few fast pacers, like 'Gone to the Dogs' from 'CGTFH'. I saw them live a few years ago and they were so one paced, I was bored. Yes, they are great at blues but blues bored me silly. I dont mind one or two tracks but now 80% of the gig! Such a band of contrasts! 'Hooked' was amazing, 'Congo Square' is awesome. Two albums later and we were fed 'Sail Away' which is so dull and flat! Tc

I nearly fell over when I heard Skin have reformed for the Download Festival!! I truly believed it was the lesbian bird from Skunk Anansie!! Tc
-
It is good!! Here is another snapshot of what I heard early this morning... Poison Come Hell Or High Water Blue Murder Blue Murder Winger Madalaine White Lion Cry For Freedom Van Halen Hang 'Em High House Of Lords Wanna Be Loved Black 'N Blue Rockin' On Heavens Door Lita Ford Stiletto Hurricane Young Man Stryper Calling On You Tesla Try So Hard Badlands Hard Driver Dokken Dream Warriors Shark Island My City Warrant Train, Train Great White House Of Broken Love Europe Dreamer Ratt Got Me On The Line Danger Danger Slipped Her The Big One Britny Fox Dream On Shotgun Messiah Nobody's Home Tigertailz Noise Level Critical Cinderella The Last Mile Skid Row Wasted Time Faster Pussycat Slip Of The Tongue L.A. Its quite realistic to expect Tesla to be there!! They recently played Butlins for heaven's sake!! Also you may well have said that before the Firefest team brought Winger over! Danger Danger/Winger/Firehouse...they all good american bands. So why not Tesla? Id like Tesla there as I feel the event needs a bit of raw rock. There are a lot of melodic keyboardy bands playing so a bit of grime would be required! DRN would fit the bill but too light for me. When I think of White Sister, I think of a musician on stage, not playing a guitar, but playi ng a keyboard like its a guitar!! They sound like a keyboard version of the exellent Y&T. Tc
-
Anyway, here's the line up mentioned. 23/24 Oct Friday Lost Weekend Eclipse Bad Habbit HEAT Treat Saturday Air Race The Poodles Drive She Said Romeos Daughter Crown of Thorns White Sister (a little high on the billing me thinks) ??????? Unknown US band. I think Tesla or Y&T FM Opinions? Tc

I love that album despite it was panned by Kerrang at the time!! 'Congo Square' is a pure classic and up there with 'Rock Me'. I thin the production is what makes 'Hooked' so damn good. I was so good the follow up album 'Old Rose Motel' was average in comparison! Tc
-
Let us know what you think! Ive put in some requests, but to be honest, they play everything that I listed anyway! lol Wow, they just played Waysted's 'Walls fall Down'! Dont know any other station that would spin that! Tc

I saw them in 2007 and they were really, really good. Musically spot and the vocals were exceptional. Kelly Hansen for me, nailed every note, incredible live performance. I`ve said elsewhere that I`d seen Foreigner with Lou Gramm and they/he were great but Lou struggled with the odd note or two where Kelly Hansen didn`t! Look forward to seeing them live again with some new material in tow I hope Jason Bonham is back with them now the silly Zep thing has sunk! Tc

Glad you're enjoying it Geoff!! It does rock!!! If you go on the website, the presenter does actually play requests. Ive asked for some more Roxx Gang and he replied to my email! You can request a track by emailing Gregg here... gregg@radioio.com Make sure you specify the 'Hairband channel'. Also Ive set up a Facebook group for the station... Radio IO Hairbands FB Group Tc

Was the album called 'Candy from Strangers'? looks like a Wednesday 13 style of album/EP. Sort of horror themed? Tc

This is good stuff. A current band putting out glam sleaze stuff!! Schooled in the Hanoi/Crue camp!! The vocals are rather unusual but I like them!!! Not a great name but check it out... S.E.X Department Album is available from iTunes too!! Tc
-
yer, i was quite impressed!! Thought it was a corporate company pushing out what it thinks is 'metal pop'! But the songs are true!! Great stuff!! if anyone is on Facebook, Ive set up a group... RadioIO Hairbands MySpace Group Tc

The Crown of Thorns release was baaad! Weak and thin vocals. I cant believe that was the same band that released that superb debut! Tc
-
Didnt the singer go on to sing for Skin? Wonder where he is these days? Tc
-
Thats exactly what I saw and sparked my re-appreciation of the fantastic Foreigner! Can I just say that, I much prefer Foreigner to Journey!! Better songs imo! Tc
-
Ive never known a band replace a lead singer with someone who fits so well!! Kelly Hanson reminds me a bit of Steven Tyler but his voice fits the band so well! And with the powerhouse of Jason Bonham drumming, Foreigner are a good quality and curent band once again! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EraZ1y5fucs&...feature=related Tc
-
I haven't heard it but the critics said Ted was out of tune when singing the Melodica stuff. Tc
-
I found Bone Machine a bit of a downer, whereas DD are an upper! Tc
-
Dont mention Bone Machine!! Tc
-
Love love love this band! I remember seeing them live. I went down the front thinking there is no way that guitarist can play that fast live! Guess what? He bloody did. That young guitarist was shit hot just like on the albums! I can honestly say, he was one of the best guitarist I've seen live ever!! I only have the first three but I understand the drummer and guitarist are now in a covers band! Such a waste! 'Caught in your love light' and 'Stone Cold Woman' are my two favs! Tc
-
good band! I prefer them to Hinder! Just don't call Lynam, Lemon! Tc
