I have liked all of his albums so far, hope he can keep it up!
-
I thought this was about the Clint Eastwood movie. Love that flick
-
The cover is freakin' cool!
-
I'm at least going to give it a spin but it won't be Skid Row in my mind. I actually really like the first two Solinger released albums but the two EP's weren't as strong.

Look, I love Harnell and I should be very excited about this but I'm not. It's nuts because this is the perfect chance to do an album with Bach and see what the response would be. Can anyone imagine Harnell singing Youth Gone Wild?
-
I have been listening to it since last night. Maybe their best release and the sound is great overall. SOLID!!!

Did these guys go out of business??? Haven't been able to access their website in a few days. Anyone know?
Wishful thinking...I don't think so. I believe they just released or are releasing the Tigertailz Reelz cd.
-
I'd be happy if these guys packed up and we didn't hear from them again. It's over VH and has been for a very long time.
Agreed. Did not like the reunion album, maybe listened to it twice. Balance was the last great album but I even like III.
This live cd sounds like shit and his vocals have always been nothing short of talking instead of singing.
-
So looking forward to this...

I like the debut and most of their other stuff a fair bit, but I thought 'Life' was brilliant and still the best thing they have ever done. I'm keen to hear this one as the last wasn't half bad.
I thought that was a great album as well

Dan.....this may not be feasible, but, think about having a topic catagory (or possibly just pinning) a thread such as this. In the case of James, I suspect that he was in touch with a vast majority of the regulars of the forum? I just don't want his memory here and enthusiasum for CD collecting to be lost. It's possible future visitors to the forum will pickup on some of the admired past members that are with us no more!
If this isn't possible, I understand, and maybe others here don't agree with me!
Delbert
Sounds like a great idea!

Anyone who isn't aware of how good this album is hates everyone on this forum and hates their opinions and hates listening to anything anyone has to say. And they never read any of their posts, ever.
It is arguably in the the list of top 10 most essential hard rock albums from the 80's.
Yep, only Fireworks and Knock Out are better

I never got into the Brothers album or the father Sons album but the rest I absolutely love. Huge fan and I don't know if anything better than Imaginator came out in 1996.
-
I thought the album was solid but not great. Part of it was vocals though so maybe that is fixed?
-
Love that track!!!

Never been a fan...

Yep, huge fan. Love their harmonies and they write great songs. Looking forward to this!

Oh hell, BLUE TEARS is probably my favorite from 1990 even if I didn't discover it until sometime later that decade.
Just an awesome collection of super-catchy, hook-laden tunes that were stolen from the cassette recorder Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora used to record their jam session with Joe Elliott and Phil Collen one late 1987 evening when the two bands happened upon the same hotel in the same town while criss-crossing the USA in support of Slippery When Wet and Hysteria.
Yep, I easily love it that much!
Good call bro, probably fall around 85% but still a great disc as I recall.
So 'Big Game' is better than Blue Tears now? Stop it, man. Stop it!
Blue Tears is my most highly rated melodic rock / AOR / glam album so far, coming in at 96%. Yeah, for me that's just what music is about. Absolutely love that disc.
Big Game was 1989 if you mean White Lion and yes, it is much better than Blue Tears.
Can you stop it? Please. I actually think you're going to give my eyes AIDS with these awful things you say. If 'Big Game' is a better CD than Blue Tears - s/t it is official. I will just eat my pug. I'll just do it. That is absolutely ludicrous.
And yeah, I know the release years but I'm just referencing the fact that Nightrain rated 'Big Game' about 5-7% higher than Blue Tears. I think Blue Tears would probably rate about 40% higher for me.
Nightrain is a smart guy

To be honest I doubt Extreme will make my top 15. Might be top 20 ?
Extreme wouldn't make my top 50.
That was a top 10 release for sure. Love Nuno!

I admit I was ready to shit all over it before it came out but after listening to it a few times, it is just bad.

Agreed...he is top five of the entire genre in my book. Very strong voice and if you look at their live stuff on YouTube, it sounds the same. Major talent!Yeah, I knew there was some project that I did not enjoy, and that's it. What a waste of a voice.
Wow! Top 5; I'll have to give him a proper listen. Who would you rank in front of him?
Not very many...he can hit any note and hold it strong. Great talent...

I'll take this opportunity to semi hijack things so I can continue to sing the praises of Chinese Democracy. Absolutely love it and think people are really missing out. Forget Appetite, forget Axl the man, treat it like a solo release & listen to some beautifully crafted songs. My only complaint is it would have benefitted from grittier production. Too much Def Lep high gloss.
Agreed! One of my top 5 for 2008
2015...... the year of garbage?

Looking forward to the Mark Slaughter, Nelson, etc. It's been a slow start though.
