Another discography I rated recently, and here's some results:
1. Firehouse - 1990 - 822. Hold Your Fire - 1992 - 793. 3 - 1995 - 704. Category 5 - 1998 - 695. Prime Time - 2003 - 666. O2 - 2000 - 65Really surprising discography to really sit down and rate. I always thought 'Category 5' and 'Prime Time' were pretty good albums, but aside from a handful (about 5) really great songs on 'Category 5,' the rest is basically shit. And aside from the brilliant 'Perfect Lie' on 'Prime time,' that album is pretty shit too. Even their best albums didn't rate as highly as I thought due to several weaker songs. Anyway, when they were good they were good... no douting that. Here's my top 10 songs from these guys:1. All She Wrote2. When I Look Into Your Eyes3. Reach for the Sky4. Perfect Lie5. Overnight Sensation6. Don't Treat Me Bad7. Dream8. I Live My Life For You9. Home is Where the Heart Is10. HelplessRatings way too low my friend...

Not never coming back to the mainstream but there will always be a fan base for sure.

Hopefully after this experiment he gets back to Damage Control type stuff...
I wonder what the guys from Eyes are up to these days? Would love to see the debut line-up join forces again and see what they could come up with. Not that it's even remotely likely, I am sure...
I'd be game for that. I would take anything other than this. It's the first thing he has released that I really don't enjoy.

Will probably never hear this, liked the debut but never really liked anything else except THC Groove from their second release,am I wrong or did I read somewhere that the other original members(without Torein) where playing together(with Andrew Freeman on vocals),or maybe Im just misty minded it was probably years ago knowing my luck.
If you're trippin' I'm trippin'. I can't remember the details either (so much so that I half expected this new album to feature several original members) but I also recall reading something about original members getting back together.
No they are together but under a different name. There are live Youtube vidz out there and it sounds damn good!

Last great album was ZaZa, this will be crap again I'm sure...

On one listen I think this album is good, not great but will probably be a grower.

Not a David Reece fan, then? I'd definitely have preferred Lessman on these songs, but Reece just sounds like, well, Reece. He's always the same. Love him or hate him.
No, not at all. I semi-liked the first BC cd back in '92 but that's about it. Listen to track three....the music, drums, everything is so awesome...and then he sings. I swear I am not making this up but this is as bad as I have ever heard.

You know what the bitch of this is...musically they finally sound like Bonfire again. Having said that after barely making it through the album, the vocals are absolutely terrible. I mean fucking terrible...
Sad thing is this would have been potentially a great comeback album if they had Claus singing.

It's Coverdale covering songs that launched his career in the 70s ... I just don't see the point ...
Listen to it, the point might become clearer. Love it so far!

This album is just killer! \m/

Surprised no one is talking about this...been jamming to it for several days and it is KILLER. I always love a new Snake album

Lonnie contacted me for a trade last year. I had dealt with him some years ago (15?), so I went ahead with a trade.
After a month nothing had arrived, so I emailed him. I did get a reply saying that the CD's I had sent had not arrived either.
What are the chances of that eh?
Should have read this thread first....
That is his specialty...he has no soul.

Haven't given a squirt for these guys since their first two releases...

Great song and I still don't hear an issue with the sound?

I would rate Boys In Heat as their best overall with BDH a close second. I love the debut as well, especially the version with Livin' On The Edge.
I don't think I've ever heard this song. Nice tune for sure.
Anyone got an MP3 to hook a brother up with?
PM me your email addy, I got you.
Hey mate, thanks heaps for that but Stewart (Dark) already hooked me up. Thanks heaps, doods.
No worries

I may pick up Second Coming if there are bonus tracks...
No bonus tracks on either album so if you already have the original CDs I guess you can pass.
Just ordered the pair. I was gonna pass on the re-ish of the first album cuz I never cared for it much back in the day (mainly cuz Zinny Zan couldn't carry a tune in a bucket) but after listening to a couple of songs on YouTube just now I went "Ehhh, what the hell," and pulled the trigger on that one too.
The label site sez they're expected to ship on May 15th... so hopefully they'll be in my hands in time for my birthday on the 22nd.
Second Coming is definitely better but there are some great songs on the debut. Don't Care 'Bout Nothin', Nervous, Nowhere Fast, I'n Your Love. Just killer tunes, and I really like the instrumental and I usually hate those. The sound could use some help so it's cool it is getting re-issued. Second Coming was perfect the way it is.
I don't understand why they don't add some bonus tracks. You know there are some things not released out there. Not to mention even demo's would have been cool.

How many bands released one killer album and then faded away? Most of them...
I don't care, give me the goods even if it is once. In today's music world, I will take anything that is quality.

Ah so the real Bonfire has finally stood up...bet this sounds more like Bonfire than Bonfire does.

Great band...all three albums different but great in their own right.
Is Glam coming back?

Um, plenty but I will state the obvious. Poison...
