  1. I pretty much like every album they have done except Let It Rock.

Wow, that's random. What's wrong with 'Let it rock'?

Great question as Let it Rock is one of my favs from the band and really stood out since it was one of the few discs that came out in the mid 90's from an 80's band that was good.

Shitty production & lame songs. That was enough for me :)

Oh no, not another "production problem"? :P You're an oddball, mate, that's for sure. Again, I hear no problem with the production on this disc...

Low budget sounding production with a very flat drum sound. Are you deaf :)

  2. I love all the Treat stuff, but I must admit The Leven S/T didn't exactly set my world on fire when I first heard it, and it still doesn't now. It has it's moments and I will always keep hold of it, but it definitely sits at the foot of the pile in all their discography.

This is the truth. I can see where Wes is coming from, having heard that album first. But for most of us, having heard their back catalogue and loving that, then hearing them go to an "Americanized" straight forward hard rock album... it was a pretty huge shock. There are some stunning songs on it - 'Learn to fly', 'Dog day comin' down', 'Poor Man' and Justice'... but also a bit of some pretty average hard rock.

When you look at their first few albums, they never really dealt in fillers until the s/t disc. Even 'Muscle in Motion' is filler-free.

At the end of the day, I do think the s/t is a very good album... but it is a HUGE change in Treat's traditional style and not on par with their glory years... imo :)

Wow, I don't hear any filler on the s/t cd but I hear a ton on the earlier albums. I guess it depends on when you got in to them and what you heard first.

  4. Hooked is very good, but to me the whole album just feels like they were trying too hard to create Twice Shy part II. I prefer Psycho City by a mile in the "lost in the shuffle" category.

I'm just the opposite. I liked afew killer tunes on Psycho Motel but I LOVE Hooked. One of their best ballds is on there too. I pretty much like every album they have done except Let It Rock.

  5. I had The Very Best and Beyond release on cassette and used to play the hell out of it but the only actual studio release I ever owned/own is Unusual Heat which I loved. I will buy the new one with Kelly Hanson on vox if it ever comes out.

Backed...That best of cd can't be topped by any best of cd. That would be my vote. Great band!

  6. Still think these guys are average at best but anyone who can get a song on radio about getting a blowjob between the sheets is doing alright in my books.

I've never heard that story, but yeah, sounds like she needs a beating. Cheeky slut *spank*.

Didn't like them? I'm not surprised I guess...I thought the album was very good.

They're okay, but a bit average. There's a lot of these types of bands and Hinder have just kind of made the rest look so pale in comparison. If I had to, though, I'd take Nickelback and Theory of a Deadman over Saving Abel... but Hinder still kills all three combined.

    Deadman any good?

Not too bad. Just get the last album - 'Souveniers and Gasoline'. Some really good songs on there. Pretty sure you'd prefer it to Saving Abel, at least.

    I'll check it out! :banger:

  9. But Geoff is very much correct in his assertion that "Forever all Over Again" is Night Ranger's all-time best ballad.

    No he isn't.

I think you will find that in this case, I am very correct.

    I disagree also...bring it!

Aren't you that guy who thought there was a sound issue with Trixter's 'Hear!'

In which case, my point is proven. I am correct. ;)

Exactly...since I'm the only one who can hear properly (the terrible sounding Hear cd)...I'm right ;)

  10. Fullback, NO FULLBACK HAS EVER RUN LIKE HIM!! AND NO HALFBACK HAS EVER BEEN HIS SIZE AND RUN LIKE HIM!! He did break his neck, that's why he retired, but when bitchboy took over, he hardly used Alstott for anything other then 4th and goal on the 1, about the same time John Lynch wasnt the right fit for the Tampa D, I cant find anybody as exciting to watch as him, I think his agility is dumbfounding for his brute size, that's what allways blew me away!

You won't get an arguement from me...the man was a beast no doubt.

  11. Damn, I didn't know these were coming out.......I see NEH has them so I'll have to check them out....

    That's where I noticed them.

And there price is better on these than Impulsemusic as well.

I think I'm going to go ahead and order them along with the Scratch and Bite cd+dvd.

Well shit it looks like the Scratch and Bite DVD don't play on US DVD players.

I guess I might buy it anyway just to have the cd since it's so damn pricey for an original.

I'm going to get stoned for saying this but I mean it 100%...the three discs you guys are talking about are not even the best Treat cd's. Hell, Scratch & Bite flat out sucks.

    There, I said it...

When did I say they were the best Treat cds?

The Self titled with Leven will always be my favorite but I'll gladly pick these up for $17 as a remaster instead of forking over $50 for the original. Sure 'Scratch' is their worst studio release but it's still very good when compared to other bands of the same genre/style.

I never claimed you said they were the best. That seams to be the popular opinion of most here. You & I agree (and Geoff & I don't as usual...he likes to be wrong a lot) that the S/T is their masterpiece followed closely by Organised Crime. I like all of their cd's with the exception of S&B...I would spend that $17 bucks on something better if it were me. If the dvd played in the USA then it might be worth it ;)

JUST when you thought we were milking the cow for all it's worth, along comes a fresh idea: cow urine as a fizzy drink.

No, it's not a stunt. India's Hindu nationalist movement, the Cow Protection Department of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), says the drink is in the final stages of development.

The Times reports head of the department Om Prakash as saying the drink - called "gau jal", or "cow water" - in Sanskrit was undergoing laboratory tests and would be launched "very soon, maybe by the end of this year".

"Don't worry, it won't smell like urine and will be tasty too," he told The Times. "Its USP will be that it's going to be very healthy. It won't be like carbonated drinks and would be devoid of any toxins."

I just puked a little in my mouth, thanks :)

  14. Definitely interested in the new Great White disc. Looking forward to that one.

Really not sure about Bulletboys, though. Is it still meant to be like the others they're released recently? Is it still just Marq Torien of the original members in the band?

Lonnie's back in the band also. The new music has an updated sound. The only song I have heard was on Myspace but it was actually pretty good.
