  1. We are extremely proud of this cd. It's got emotion....it kicks ass......it's thought provoking.....it's sexy........it might just turn your world upside down.

 I like it. But seriously, if Norum plays like he has on the last two albums this is going to be more bollocks.

and norum is such a good axeman too !

That's the pain of it all. He's amazing, but these days he sounds like he's auditioning for Alice In Chains.

His sound on SFTD was the reason I bought the cd..I love the low tone for a change.

  2. Per Johansson is out of the band FATE.

I really loved his voice ,especially in scratch and byte.

In V it become a little strange.

Who will be the new singer.

It will be nice if jeff limbo get back on board.

Mats leven wil be a great sobstitute, but now he is involved with heavier project, and with his producer carreer.

Maybe they could find a young danish singer.

Just out of curiosity, what is Mat Leven's current band these days? He's got a great voice but it was hard keeping up with him, and Soto, and Bormann lending out their voices to every other band.

He's pretty much a hired gun now I believe.

  3. Nice line: "Cause this might just be one of those albums that's got wings............ to travel to infinity and beyond". Shame their last two albums didn't have wings too, so they could've flown the fuck somewhere far away from my ears....

    This once-great band, suck.

You tell them TIM my boy. Europe - you SUCK!!!

I disagree stongly...Even though I didn't like their last studio outing as much as the others Stark from the Dark is my favorite Europe release to date & I still spin it often. I will take that anyday over the poofy fluff that was drowned out by keyboards. I haven't spun the Final Countdown in years...vomit.

  4. I love that album despite it was panned by Kerrang at the time!!

'Congo Square' is a pure classic and up there with 'Rock Me'.

I thin the production is what makes 'Hooked' so damn good.

I was so good the follow up album 'Old Rose Motel' was average in comparison!

    Tc

Old Rose Motel is a song on that album...the title is Psycho City. I agree it's not near as good as Hooked.

  5. In many cases those "exclusive" deals are exclusive for the first X number of days, after which any vendor can carry the item. This may not be true of Wal-Mart releases though...

Yeah, what he said. They do it with a lot of things...even shoe releases. Some places get it for X amount of time then it's free to be anywhere.

  6. I am surprised that so many don't like the BJ albums. Crush was an excellent album while Bounce was even better. I admit they have lost me a little with the last couple even though Lost Highway isn't total garbage. The Leps have been worse of late imo. Euphoria sounded like Adrenalize scraps (and I don't really even care for Adrenalize). I love X but like Bounce quite a bit more as it doesn't have the fillers that X has. Picking Yeah or This Left is like choosing which way you are going to die...they both suck terribly. The best of's are a toss up. Both essential if you don't have their catelogues or meaningless if you do :)

  7. Bon Jovi - not much of a contest on their first releases for me. LOVE Roulette!

Definitely agree...never really got into the first Lep myself

Bon jovi - This one surprised me! I almost clicked High N' Dry without giving it much thought, but when I began to analyze the songs from each, i realized I liked more stuff off of 7800 F

We differ here. High N Dry is my fave DL cd & this is the only cd from BJ that I don't care for. It's too puffy & keyboard-y & ehh...minus a couple songs anyway.

Def Leppard - Pyromania v. Slippery is a dead heat as far as I'm concerned; I might say Slippery next week :P

Yeah, take your pick. Both bands hit it out of the park here...

Def Leppard - Hysteria thrashed New Jersey when I looked at 'em head to head. Is it just me, or are there some TERRIBLE fillers on NJ? (Homebound Train, Ride Cowboy Ride, Love for Sale)... yikes!

To me this is very close. Love for Sale is terrible but the other two you mentioned I like quite a bit. No one mentioned that there is filler on Hysteria, even though it's not much.

Def Leppard - Never really got into Keep The Faith

Really? Please revisit...unbelieveable album & kills the paper thin Adremalize.

Bon Jovi - I actually like some stuff from Slang quite a bit, but I enjoy These Days quite a bit more

Same here...I like Slang quite a bit but These Days is an awesome album.

    :bananamac:

  8.

Shitty production & lame songs. That was enough for me :)

Oh no, not another "production problem"? :P You're an oddball, mate, that's for sure. Again, I hear no problem with the production on this disc...

Low budget sounding production with a very flat drum sound. Are you deaf :)

Jeez man, I'd had Tim (2) and Mark pegged as the production monkeys on this site, but in the space of two threads you have eclipsed the hell out of them. I guess nothing short of Def Leppard's 'Hysteria' will do for you, mate?

Really man I think it's just a matter of taste...who likes what you know. I just prefer other things but if other people dig it that's great! :beerbang:

Well you've never thought it was great that I dig Winger's IV.

Well, cousin, you have to admit he's got a pretty good point with that one. ;)

Just like he was wrong and alone with his thoughts on Trixter's 'Hear!', you're obviously alone and wrong with your thoughts on 'IV'. ;)

The fact that I was alone isn't the point since he said it's just a matter of taste and he prefers other things but if other people dig it that's great.

I have to say after carefully listening to Winger IV again it's not as bad as I thought...

    It's even worse!

  9. I pretty much like every album they have done except Let It Rock.

Wow, that's random. What's wrong with 'Let it rock'?

Great question as Let it Rock is one of my favs from the band and really stood out since it was one of the few discs that came out in the mid 90's from an 80's band that was good.
