Anyone else think this sounds garbage?

It doesn't do much for me. It doesn't have memorable songs at all IMO. The production isn't mindbreaking either, it's quite rubbish for a band as big as whitesnake.

That said. I have allways loved most of the albums especially Saint and sinners, Slide it in, 1987 and Slip of the tongue.

Bad to the bone was enjoyable but it had a few fillers in between the really good songs.

That was awesome!!!

I found this on Youtube the other day. This one of my best mate's first band. They were 14 or 15 when they recorded this back in the middle of the eighties. I can say that my mate is a talented song writer today. It might be hard to see that when you waatch this video . I just had to share it with you since it is a hilarious video ,,,,

I love the Hardline version as it's one of the best MHR tunes of the early 90's and that album is just a classic IMO.

It's a true classic. It's very high up on my list over the best MHR songs.

and who is Danny Spanos??? Apparently he made it 1983 and it was a top 40 hit.

These samples didn't do much for me. Since I like more the melodic stuff of WS (Slide it in, 1987 and and some songs on Slip of the tongue) it was to many raw rockers here. The production was not the greatest either.

And Bad to the bone seems alot better than this release IMO.

Quite good European/Scandi melodic rock. Not the best but fairly enjoyable.

It wasn't that expensive a couple of years back when I bought it. It must have gone up in price lately.

Ok, I was sitting at the computer today thinking about who could be the new singer for Gotthard (one of my favorite bands).

For me the best way to go is an unknown singer who has a similar voice as Steve Lee. And he should have great song writing skills as well. Don't want them to change to a change in the musical direction.

The debut was terrific. I get mixed emotions about this. The verse is really good but don't like the chorus that much. But it will be a killer album. No doubt about that!!!

Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of the Self-Titled come back album from King Kobra on April 15 in Europe and May 5 in North America.

Formed in 1984 by legendary drummer Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne), Los Angeles heavy metal outfit King Kobra recorded two critically acclaimed albums for Capitol Records the 1985 release 'Ready to Strike' and 1986's 'Thrill of a Lifetime'.

Along with Carmine, the band featured four relatively unknown musicians at the time David Michael-Philips and Mick Sweda on guitar, Johnny Rod on bass and Mark Free on lead vocals. King Kobra toured the U.S., Canada, Europe and Mexico playing shows with Kiss, Iron Maiden, Quiet Riot, Ted Nugent, Queensryche and Autograph.

The year 2010 saw the band reunite the original classic '85 lineup, replacing original singer Mark Free (now Marcie Free) with veteran lead vocalist Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot). This album captures all the great points we had in the 80's, but better says Carmine Appice The music is more traditional King Kobra music. Great lyrics, kick ass songs with cool hooks and really good playing. A really great hard rock/metal record with lots of energy. David Michael-Phillips adds It truly is an all-star album. Paul Shortino is amazing! I can honestly say he is one of the best vocalists in the business along with being one of the nicest and most generous people I have ever met.

The band is planning to get on some targeted American and European summer festivals this year. Watch out: King Kobra is smokin' hot, back stronger than ever and "Ready to Strike" once again!

I listened to the samples and I think they smoke. It feels like the snake is back and strike with a vengeance. Shortino sounds more vital than I've heard him in a long time. H e sings his lungs out.
