  2. In the U.S. they have a special at the Nuclear Blast website for the cd and t-shirt both for $22. Sooo looking forward to this cd! :headbanger:

I Have listen to it now a number of times and it is incredible. For me, this might be the best Accept album since Russian Roulette. Stalingrad is more varied than Blood on the nations. A couple of more melodic songs as well. The production is stellar as well. If you are into Accept you won't be disappointed!!!!

Russian Roulette is probably my fav Accept album and the end of a fantastic run of albums. Really can't wait to spin the new one now! :beerbang:

    What about Eat the Heat?

Eat the heart is a great album one of the best in their catalogue but I don't count it as a classic Accept album due to its change in music style!!! Right or wrong I don't know mate,,,, just my two

  4. SWEDISH SUPERSTARS TAKIDA TO RELEASE DEBUT UK SINGLE:

Following the great success of their recent UK tour with 3 Doors Down, Takida prepare to unleash their debut UK single, 'You Learn', released on May 7 and taken from the forthcoming UK album, 'The Burning Heart'.

With no 6-figure budgets to blow open the doors of the Top 10, Sweden's Takida have become genuine shooting stars. Fact is; above all else, these are five guys who focus all their attention on writing great songs. In 2006 the single, 'Losing' entered the Swedish charts at No. 2 and stayed Top Ten for weeks on end and the album it was taken from, 'Make You Breathe', ultimately became the best-selling rock album in Sweden that year.

2007 saw the follow-up album 'Bury The Lies' go one step further with both the album and the single 'Curly Sue' rocketing straight to the respective No. 1 spots! The single stayed at the top position on the national radio charts for 10 weeks, making it the most-played radio song in 2008 – little wonder then that the band was nominated for two Grammys sending the album to Platinum status. 4 more No.1 singles followed! 'Handlake Village', 'The Things We Owe', 'Never Alone Always Alone' and this forthcoming UK release 'You Learn'.

  5. I hate you Swedes. You have all the best bands, and all the best concerts. One of these years I'll make the trip.

It's a great festival. I need to go there every year not just for the music. It's everything that surrounds it. It's really travelling back to the world of Women, Whiskey and song. A place one doesn't go to so much nowadays. This is my tenth year.

I was initially going for a thursday 1-day ticket but I will have to buy one for wednesday now also. This year's line-up was pretty weak compared to other years but thursday have Night Ranger and Steel Panther which I really wanna see and now H.E.A.T and Dynazty on wednesday.

Agree, It's the weakest line-up fo a number of years. But it's loads of good bookings but it doesn't suite us lads who love the more MHR stuff. I hope it will be another 2004 again maybe next year. That year was spectacular.

  6. Ha, small world. I used to exchange some emails with their singer when he was in Crete. Apparently he migrated to Sweden. I love singer's previous band, Event Horizon X, but not this one. Well played, but very uninspired stuff.

Yes Michail migrated to Sweden. He is my colleague. Great singer His old band was great but this is also quite good. He has a great voice.

  7. They have been massive in Sweden since the album was released. The most funny part is that people here in Sweden that says that they are real "Hardrockers" and can´t stand MHR because they think it´s cheesy really like Amaranthe and think they are so much more hard rock since they have a lad that´s crowling and a clean hardrock voice. It would have just been enough to have the clean vocals and the girl, but than they would have been so popular. Their choruses are even cheesier than they were in Euro disco of the nineties.

I actually can´t stand this band, although hunger is a great song. It is so commersial, It´s like putting a kind of boyband together just to sell loads of albums. Why bother to have a growler in there? Just so it would appeal to people who just can´t stand anything else than hard music. Hell it´s even more poppier than ABBA. They have been in other harder bands earlier like Dreamland, Dragonland, Cipher System.

Sorry about that lads. Just my two.... Sometimes you really get it out of your system ;)

Here is another band in the sort of same league. They were in the Eurovision qualifying race here in SWeden together with Dynazty. They made it to the final and Dynazty didn´t.

Songs from The singer Jake´s old band Dreamland which I think is better:

  8. I'm liking the samples. The funny, sad, annoying... thing is each sample opened up in my iTunes, and after each one had finished it continued straight into "Life's a Bitch." As good as they may be, they will never be Double Eclipse.

    Couldn't agree more :headbanger:

  9. BUt it is really Hardline. I would say that it is a Johnny Gioeli solo record rather than a Hardline record. Alessandro Del Vecchio wrote some the songs and send them to Johnny who loved them and wanted to do another Hardline record.

That said. The songs sounds great,,,, :party421:
