  1. Heavens EDge is outstanding this years I didn't thought I was going to see them in my lifetime. I will be there most likely for the whole weekend.

First SWeden Rock then Firefest. What a great year of rock this is going to be.

    Maybe we'll meet over there.

  2. This new track sounds like a great continuation of Pandemonium.

But I'm of a completely different opinion than all the rest here at the forum I guess:

here is my list of the first three:

    1. Future world (That was one of the first cd:s I ever bought back in 87, It is a mega-classic IMO, no weak track except the last song. Yellow rain is just amazing and one of their best)

    2. Red, Hot and Heavy (Back to back is on that album and that says it all. Was blown away when I first heard Back to back and night danger on the radio back in the eighties.)

    3. Sin Decade.

I must add that i Really love the more powerful side of Pretty maids. Saw them in mid december again and it was great as usual.

  3. I really miss SAVATAGE, especially the Savatage with Zak Stevens on vocals.

Once a year I'll pull out all my Savatage discs and just go nuts for a few days. To this day the greatest and most listened to CD-R I ever made was a compilation of Savatage tunes. I've had to reburn it a few times over the years. Most of them with Zak Stevens on vox and all being the over the top orchestrated tracks or power ballad types.

Here are the tracks and the order in which they are listed.

    Welcome (TWOM)

This Is The Time (Dead Winter Dead)

    Chance (Handful Of Rain)

    Gutter Ballet (Gutter Ballet)

This Isn't What We Meant (Dead Winter Dead)

    Hourglass (TWOM)

All That I Bleed (Edge Of Thorns)

    One Child (Dead Winter Dead)

Alone You Breath (Handful Of Rain)

    Follow Me (Edge Of Thorns)

Not What You See (Dead Winter Dead)

    Anymore (TWOM)

    Somewhere In Time/Believe (Streets)

I can honestly say all these songs are perfect 10/10 tracks to me, for me it's the perfect mix.

If a CD-R could only be 90 minutes and not 80. I add the title tracks Edge Of Thorns and The Wake Of Megallan.

So any bands that you miss that haven't done anything in years or simply don't exist anymore?

My two fave by Savatage (miss them alot): is propably:

    Hard for love

    Strange wings

    My fave albums is:

    Hall of the mountain king

    Power of the night

    Edge of thorns

I also really miss the Bach fronted Skid Row and Icon with Stephen Clifford on vocals

  4. They are will supposedly announce a new line-up tomorrow,,,

I had a couple of drinks yesterday with the new singer at the Accept concert. Fantastic lad and a great singer. He will fit well.

I promised him not to tell anyone or he had to kill me,,, ;-))

  5. This the best metal album that has come from SWeden for a long time. It beats the last Bloodbound releases by a mile. Georg from AOR Heaven has done a good summery.

What a monster debut from this hot new Swedish metal outfit feat. (ex) members of Bloodbound, Tad Morose & Morgana Lefay incl. the mighty Urban Breed on vocals - killer melodic metal stuff like Nocturnal Rites, Crimson Glory or Morgana Lefay

    Watch out the teaser below:

  6. One of my all time favourite tunes, and for whatever reason picks up regular plays on my random feature on the Gigabeat.

Have to agree with you Geoff. It's hard to judge which songs are up there in the top but for me this is the second best song ever just after Goin goin gone (Danger Danger). Joel Ellis is just amazing on this cd. (especially the more melodic songs). Just listen to where eagles fly which is for me one outstanding vocal performance.

  7. I saw Heat the second time this summer in the tiny rockbar in my hometown. Different venue Sweden Rock but the really owned the night again.

Same song list as at SRF but it does not really matter. They rule!!!

Below there are some pics from the show (fuck erik needed someone to help him sing ;-)).

  8. We finally won. Thomas Gson is one of the biggest song writers for the swedish part of the contest. He usually have a large amount of songs in the Swedish qualifying year after year. He also wrote Dynaztys song this year. I also think he wrote the Spaninsh song as well this year.

    Loreen Has a fantstic voice.

I'm 100 % backing you about the voting. It has become more and more of a joke the since all the eastern countries joined the competition. I honestly thought that SWeden would never win again.

  9. What can you say. He has completely lost it. It will probably not be an album as good as Mindcrime ever by any group...

We can hope that with Tate out of the way they will go back to more of a classic QR album. A dream would be if Degarmo comes back again. I think they need his great song writing abillities.
