Shoulda grabbed the cd when I was at swedenrock.... still have not manged to get my hands on a copy
-
Hmmm, i'm quite partial to the gal on the reissue....
-
tried getting some of his previous material, but he seemed to one of those artist that made the cd near impossible to get.
-
Have got this one.
Nice album overall. From memory a few killer songs, but the rest of the album just motors along without either highlight or low lights. -
Have patience with this one for Gods sake! It is a grower and once you have given it enough spins, you will realize it is up there with the best they have ever done. It took me some spins to appreciate songs like "Invincible", "Energized", "Forever Young" and even "Blind Faith". I rate this album a healthy 92 % !!!
How much is enough spins?
If it hasn't grabbed someone by the 3rd spin, then it's a case of just trying hard to like it or just trying to find a reason to like it if they persist on spinning it again and again.
-
they have a few other tracks up aswell.....
-
Might have to buy this simply due to the awesome band photo.
Devil horns overload.
And what's this new thumbs position when giving the "horns up" salute? (tuck your thumbs in boys!)
Myland - TBA

I had the junkyard69 album (download only) and also have the addiction cd. Addiction are very active on Facebook if you are on there.

I just had to re-read this old thread after just now reading rave reviews for "salty dog", and i thought to myself - "that was the band that inspired this thread wasn't it?"
Yes it was
-
i think best song on the disc is 'Piracy'.
-
Only listened once, and found it a little disappointing. Not dislike, but not up to the standard of the previous stuff.

Glam and sleaze seems to be the quietest its been since pre-2005.
Don't you/we say that every year since 2005?
Not really since 2005, but maybe last 5 years.
There was a couple of fruitful years in there around the late 2000's when there was stuff like babylon bombs, some of the better crashdiet and HCSS, blackrain hell n diesel, and others like Bastardz, 44 Calibre, BabyJane....but I'd say over the last 5 years it has been in steady decline.

I just looked at the picture and thought "that's not fkn reckless love".... doh!
-
It wasn't a trap or bait.... haha
I just knew where this would sit with you.
Funnily enough, they're one of those bands scoring some really good support slots (eg Ace Frehley, and Sebastian Bach being the most recent)Oh dear mate, are you just trying to booby trap me? You know what I think of that without asking, don't you? It's horrible. The only divide I see is that you can have sex with two of the band members, but not the other two.
Otherwise, it's poor music, bad vocals, weak production and really limp songs. The chorus hooks are vaguely present, but it's all very 5th or 6th tier kind of stuff.

These guys / gals divide the local music scene and the net (by all review I have seen).
What do you guys think?
Especially interested in Geoff's review. -
Did they release a 10" recently? Must totally missed that

For most of these I took advantage of ebayAU 15% off everything a few weeks back, and combined that with a few sellers offering free postage to order a few LPs. Worked out to an average of about $AUD20 each shipped international! Others I simply grabbed at greatly discounted prices.
Arrived:
LA Guns - Hollywood Forever LP
Sebastian Bach - Give Em Hell LP
Cinderella - Still Climbing LP
Pretty Boy Floyd - Kiss of Death LP
Balckboard Jungle - I Like It Alot LP-reissue
Massive - Full Throttle (2LP)
Waiting:
Tigertailz - Knives LP
Sebastian Bach - Kicking & Screaming LP
Hollywood Burnouts - Kick It Up A Notch
Dangerous Toys - 2LP reissue (first 2 albums) -
I thought they were terrible.
This seems to be your standard response to everything these days Geoff
Only the terrible stuff. Look in the threads about good music and you will see much more variation. Or, in the post at the bottom of the previous page where I complimented about 400 bands. Or all the time when I give credit where it's due. Sorry mate, if it's crap it's crap and that's how I describe it, and if it's not I say nice things about it.
I honestly must not read any of those threads of bands you like. To be fair i read 90% glam sleaze related stuff on here, so there must be nothing glam/sleaze related that you have liked over the past 2 years, and the stuff you do like I'm not reading those threads.

Was gonna order from the band, but got put off when they said even if you live in Australia you still pay the same shipping as living O/S.
I'm used to paying increased shipping from o/s so wasn't too keen on paying o/s rates for something already in Australia . -

My new Aussie rock blog
Just a bit of fun, nothing serious.
1st post is this excellent Aussie hard rock compilation:
Also have a Facebook page: search for "7 Wishes Music"
More to come.
Oh and for anyone interested, there is a copy for sale here. It's $50 but this CD almost never shows up.
Cool start to the blog. Will be looking to see what follows!

Awesome. Really liked the last one and have been slowly working on grabbing the rest of their catalogue little by little. Checking Amazon right now.
Try the band direct. That's what I did and got their entire catalogue at a good price.
-
I hear they're doing a reunion.
Who is doing vocals now then? Jon Stevens....?

This was just a publicity stunt to get people back to the site, wasn't it...?!?!
