  1. There has been a handful of great releases in the last couple of years, but I'd agree only a fraction of what was around the 5 years before that.

As mentioned above.... start with Confess 'Jail' , that was probably the highlight of the last 3-4 years.
Hell In The club have a couple of great releases.
Cruel Intentions seem to be the real deal, but have stated they have no intention of releasing an album... only singles.

Hardcore Superstar's last release wasn't on par with their previous stuff I must admit.

Reckless Love been quiet but a new disc about to drop.
    Same with Blackrain.
    Sister went really heavy.
Last Vegas seemed to go a little more mainstream than their classic stuff, as have Buckcherry.
Pussy Sisster (geoff's favourite band name) have a new cd out. Havent heard it yet though, but supposedly good stuff.
Shiraz Lane definitely worth checking out
Pretty WIld was a great cd
Same with Niterain, but their follow up single didn't seem as goodt o these ears.
    I loved Bulletrain
    Danger not too bad

There's also a stack I haven't heard either... due to the shit aussie dollar over the past 18 months.

There are a few up n comers.... but who knows if they'll hit the highs of the previous generation.

    Trench Dogs - https://www.facebook.com/trenchdogs/?fref=nf
    The TIp - https://www.facebook.com/thetiprock/

A couple of aussies been doing some nice stuff:
    Laced In Lust - https://www.facebook.com/LacedInLust/?fref=ts
    Sisters Doll - https://www.facebook.com/sistersdoll/?fref=ts
Kill SHott - should have been big, but broke up after their ep

But agree with the original sentiment, there hasn't been as many really big albums coming onto the scene in the last couple of years.

  2. I hate everyone, but I'm curious, Lindsay. Why didn't you just list the CD for Buy It Now at the price you two had agreed upon?

Don't get me wrong, the guys sounds like a massive c*nt. Just curious for my peace of mind.

Because I simply relisted the auction as it originally was.

  3. So the story goes...

Listed a cd on ebay a while back for $110.
Received a reasonable offer on the last day but didn't see it until the ad had expired.
Emailed the person who made the offer and said I'd relist and would accept their offer if they were still interested. (It was a few $ short of what I had planned to accept, but hey...it was close.)
    They agreed, so I relisted.
They, as agreed, send me a an offer ...but now it's $10 lower than what we agreed.
I reply with a counter offer of the agreed amount and state that was what we agreed upon.
They send me another offer this time for $5 lower than the agreed value.

Fuck em... Im not into playing time wasting games.... offer declined (as much as the $ would come in handy)

Buyer Progrock1969 .... is that anyone on here or had dealing with them before?

  4. Oh, and by the way, thanks for reminding me about this "BANNED WEBSITE" site - this prick's "reviews" of the Shotgun Messiah reissues were cut and pasted out of the article *I* wrote about them on my blog. He added a few sentences here and there to pass them off as his own writing, but he lifted most of them from me.

I need to send them a nasty e-mail about that....

It appears that you have now been credited on the article

  5. Usain Bolt trains for the 100m sprint by chasing Eric Brittingham.

The USA dropped the atomic bomb on Japan because dropping Eric Brittigham was deemed to be to destructive

Motley Crue were original called Motley Brittingham but they changed their name as they didn't want to be the second biggest selling Brittingham artist on the planet

The internet was originally invented to record all of the great feats of Eric Brittingham as no book or series of books was big enough to fit it all in.

why did the chicken cross the road?
Because eric brittingham asked it to.

E = mc2 shows the relationship between mass and energy
E = mc3 is the formula that defines the talent contained by mr Eric Brittingham

  6. Did we discuss the silver bit before as well? Aren't there "silver" cdr's?

From what I understand they are actual silver pressed.

Work been done to the music, and time spent on inserts.

    ..hence the price.

(I don't have any but know a couple of people who do)

And I guess they don't want to flood the market and see them selling for $10 when they can sell 1 for $150.... and keep the price up there.

  7. Whilst I was on my 2 weeks man-turnity leave i got to see some seriously shit TV... Full of PC bullshit.

One of my favourites was an article about changing the name of a 'wife beater' to a 'respect singlet'

fuck yeah, that going to stop domestic violence isn't it you dickheads.

  8.

Its an important phrase, cos (at least here in Australia) society is so over the top "politically correct" that its crazy.

People say things, do things, act a certain way ...just because they believe thats what they are expected to do. They want to sound like they care, they make a difference, they are fixing the BIG problems in the world.

    eg... the things Geoff mentioned.

stuff like flying a 'gay' flag over a local council. I have nothing agaist it, but why the fuck do councild feel the need to fly a flag. Do they fly flags for people with beards, or left handers, or bus drivers...? Why...To be politically correct.

B-grade tv celebrities (or all tv celebrities) who tow a certain line -BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO. Let in a million a refugees, freedom for women, gay rights, climate change, .... whatever else. It's politically correctness gone mad.

The douche bag is the person that is towing the Policitcally Correct line, not the person who calls it out.

    Bring back Gollywog biscuits!!!

Someone actually gave our son a gollywog doll when he was born. I thought they weren't available any more...?

  10. I really like the disc. Possibly a bit drawn out towards the end.
Yeah a bit of early unwarranted swearing (only really during the first 3-or-so songs from memory).
But they have forged their own sound, their own brand of modern sleaze.
Remember when Shotgun Messiah did Violent New Breed? Not to that extent,... but something different.

While i loved the earlier releases, I also though people talked them up a bit too much, so maybe people had excessive expectations of this one?

  11.

That sucks Delbert. What a great way to never get supported again.

    What an assclown. :soapbox:

Are you nuts???? Anyone can deliver a CD in 6 weeks even if he had to send it by carrier pidgeon!!! Anyway, I filed a dispute......that means "Hello seller, what's the story? Your buyer hasn't heard a peep from you?" It DOES NOT mean I filed a claim!!!

Get real my friend!!!! An Assclown is someone who hasn't the courtesy to inform his buyer if he is experiencing a problem that will cause a delay.....I have bought and sold more CDs than you've ever owned!!!

Wasn't calling you an assclown.... that dude from Love N' Revenge is an assclown for not sending the CD or at least a courtesy email to explain any problem/delay.

I appologize for misreading your post..........

Do you feel like an ass clown now...?!?!!?! HAHAHAHA

    That made me laugh.

Luckily you've bought and sold more cds than alpha has ever owned otherwise your apology would not be accepted.
