  1. Option 3 for me.

I'm not a completist because I know that its just impossible for me to get every single CD by the band that I like by just going to CD stores. I'm not too much into spending insane amount of money just to get a particular one. If I know that I won't be able to get the debut (I always stick with the debut), I'll just get whatever is handy. Like that of Loudness and Lillian Axe. I know that I have to spend a considerable amount just to get The Birthday Eve and LA's S/T so I'll just stick with Soldier of Fortune and Psychoschizophrenia.

  2. That does it. I just discovered in the heavyharmonies data base the band The Joneses http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/glamcd.cgi?BandNum=3634&CDName=Criminal%20History and from the comments - they're a 100% PUNK. The band NUNS WITH GUNS is in my opinion, had the same sound and look as The Joneses. I really don't have any hesitation to add LITTLE KINGS, though here in heavyharmonies. As I wrote before, they sound exactly like Rock City Angels. Now I better find some time to submit these two cds before you all start waiting for them.

  3. I'm not sure whether this has been talked about before.

Though I'm not really in tune with the latest Glam Punk bands of late (Sick Six Crush, Peppermint Creeps, Heart Throb Mob and the likes), I've never heard them all buthave a little idea that they really sound 'punkish'. Their looks would definitely remind anyone of early Motley Crue but the sound is as close as to those of 90s punk-pop. So, what can pass as Glam Punk and what cannot? How about the band LITTLE KINGS? I'm not familiar with them at first but one look at them, I thought that they're a London Quireboys type of band but when I searched the net about them, everything that comes up says they're punk. They're music is so similar to Rock City Angels that they could have been that band. So, does that qualify to be here? And this is the biggest question, NUNS WITH GUNS. First look at them, they're a 100% hair band but the sound is just too punk (but with guitar solos). While I don't have any doubts Little Kings belong here, this one I doubt but knowing about the Peppermint Creeps and the modern punk/pop I'm beginning to question.

And since I'm here, how about College Rock? That is what I would describe and what I know about The Alarm (and another band here that the name escapes me right now but tagged as Sleaze/Glam). So, if The Alarm is here how about the british band CRAZYHEAD?

By the way, I'm not here to question the decision why some bands are here, just need some clarification. Thanks!

  4. Now, to answer the question about my Top 5 rarest. I think I only have 3 or 4 'coz most are not that rare.

    DAMAGED MAILBOXZ - S/T

    DEFENDER - 2NFRO

ICRI'S WITCH - In For The Kill

    S'AINT AMERICA - S/T

The best thing about these titles is that I got them all SEALED and FREE. Just not sure if anybody really cares about the Defender CD. Have yet to see Icri's Witch on eBay. S'aint America had a $49 Buy-it-Now price the last time I saw it.

Wow, I never knew the Defender 2NFRO came out in cd format, I have been looking for the lp for years now, it on my most wanted list...

Yes, it's on CD format and released by Hard Rock Records/Prime Groover Production. Not really that great.

About that Headlock - It Found Me, never knew that its that rare. I've been ignoring that for the longest time since I know that they're a Crossover band. I'm not a fan of crossover and hardcore. Probably, I'll give it a try.

  5. One of my favorites when I was in college was Frank Frazetta. I remember my classmates and I admiring and learning the style of this great master. Now, he's moved one. Rest in peace. Read on.

Frank Frazetta, an illustrator whose vivid colors and striking brushstrokes conjured up fantastic worlds of musclebound heroes fighting with broad swords and battle axes to defend helpless women from horrible beasts, died on Monday in Fort Myers, Fla. He was 82.

The death, caused by a stroke, was confirmed by Rob Pistella and Steve Ferzoco, his business managers. In a telephone interview, Mr. Pistella said that Mr. Frazetta, who had a history of strokes, had returned from a Mother’s Day dinner with his family on Sunday night and fell ill. Emergency medical services were called and Mr. Frazetta was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

In the 1940s and 50s, Mr. Frazetta drew for comic strips like Al Capp’s “Lil’ Abner” and comic books like “Famous Funnies,” for which he contributed a series of covers depicting the futuristic adventurer Buck Rogers. He also had his own newspaper strip that ran from 1952 to 1953, called “Johnny Comet” (later retitled “Ace McCoy”).

He drew the movie poster for “What’s New Pussycat?” in 1964, and hit his stride executing detailed illustrations of pulp heroes like Conan the Barbarian and John Carter of Mars for their comic magazines and books. His realistic renderings of otherworldly scenarios (and barely clad women) made him the ideal candidate to illustrate the album covers for popular heavy metal albums like Molly Hatchet’s “Flirtin’ With Disaster” and Nazareth’s “Expect No Mercy.”

In November, Wired.com reported, Mr. Frazetta’s cover artwork for the paperback reissue of “Conan the Conqueror” by Robert E. Howard sold to an unnamed collector for $1 million.
