  1. Found these for $1 each today at the used book store:

    Killer Dwarfs - S/T

Queensryche - Mindcrime At The Moore (2 CD Set)

Eyes - S/T (original pressing - this is up for trade)

Cry Wolf - Crunch (original pressing - this is up for trade too)

Wow, a fuckin dollar? Nice man!

1/2 Priced Books is a great source for cheapies!

I know that. The last time I saw one when I was still driving through Madison, WI, I immediately made a quick left turn. I didn't know that there was a 1/2 Priced Books in that strip mall that I always passed by. (Yeah, I'm that stupid idiot who made a quick left turn in front of you!) Got some good titles from that store, also my copy of The Sound of the Beast book.

  2. One of the (many) reasons why i dont ever post on the CD pages anymore.

I'd much rater have a sensible conversation/debate on an album here on the message boards, than exchange pointless slanging posts like these.

    Yaaaaawn.

Well, I'm guilty of the opposite. Though, I don't and won't slag anybody at tbe comments section I think I have to "counter" the review left by former forum member Rafo Phoenix on the CD SUNSET STRIP - Strippin' Time. I left that comment with the intention of warning anyone of this horrendous, sorry piece of crap. If you think that BOGEYMEN - There is no such thing and WARPIPES - Holes in the Heavens are the worst CDs listed in the HH data base, you better hear this Sunset Strip. And Rafo left a good rating on that shit: 80/100 with the comment "Good Glam Rock/MHR...". I don't know if his taste in music is as low as a midget or if he ever heard that CD at all. If you rely on the comments left here in HH in deciding on how to spend your hard-earned $50-$120 on hard-to-find CDs and read that review, you're screwed.

  3. Yes, I like his style. And I may make alot of enemies with this one, but I would rather listen and watch Bonamassa than Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Though his style is blues, I just recently saw Bonamassa's name in a poll for favorite shredder.

  4. I've been inactive here in heavy harmonies for so long that I didn't learn about this since last night. I just cannot believe it. I was hoping that he'll get back to me whether he was able to listen to the music that I uploaded in megaupload. He was the one who taught me to do it. When I told him about this band that has the most terrible sound (so terrible that the Rip Tide reissue of Fate's debut sounds like a million dollar), he got very interested. I promised him to send him a CDR but he told me to just upload it and then taught me how. This is very sad.

  5. and it completely bored me rigid (in a not good way), and worse still, the single is being played to death on the radio wherever you go. Death, murder, Kill and soon please.

Really? When I heard this song in Radioio eclectic I thought this is good and the whole album won't be a waste of money.

  6. Love/Hate - Black Out in the Red Room TWICE. The second time I came across it, the front insert has some water damage. The first time - I was just stupid.

Is this one rare now? I've seen that plenty of times through the years but always assumed it was still pretty common. :(

Wow mate, passing up on any "hair metal" CD for a few US cents personally blows me away. Especially one that isn't a common Poison, Bon Jovi or Motley Crue one. Even for a few cents I think I'd pick bands like that up, just in case. :)

No. Absolutely no Poison, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue. These are what I was looking for because at that time, these famous bands are all I knew. But on that sale, all they got were "unknowns" like Tindrum. Probably at that time, if I saw a Da Vinci or Nasty Idols I'll pass them up.

  7. Now, how do I begin this? How about passing on an original pressing of FRANCE - Lay it on Me because the front insert has alot (and I mean ALOT) of writings. And 1st Avenue's Tears and Triumph for about a couple of cents US (this was in the Philippines). These (there were more than 10!) 1st Avenue CDs were sealed/brand new. I got one Tindrum's Cool, Calm and Collected for the same price like that of 1st Avenue. If I only knew that I can trade them, I could have bought at least 10. I'm pretty sure there were still other hair band CDs there that I passed on at this particular time because I still don't know any of them. And these 1st Avenue and Tindrum were sold in a local (Philippine) record company's office. They had a big sale and I went out of my way to search for that building. The Tindrum CD was Zero (Japan) pressing.

I remember choosing between a RIOT "Born in America" and LION's "Trouble in Angel City". I chose Riot.

Tony Palacios' "Epic Tales of Whoa" in a thrift store.

Love/Hate - Black Out in the Red Room TWICE. The second time I came across it, the front insert has some water damage. The first time - I was just stupid.

Icon - Night of the Crime. Because I was saving my money.
