I was just wondering if anyone is as picky as me when it comes to the condition of a CD? I won an auction a month 1/2 ago with the following description:
Stranger- No More Dirty Deals 1991 OOP cd. The cd is in mint condition and the cover is in very good shape. Buyer to pay $4 S&H + insurance in US.
FINALLY got it today but that's an entirely different issue. Anyway, the CD definitely was in great shape but did have many small scratches and the artwork was water damaged (not terribly bad but definitely stained and a bit wavy, mostly noticable when you open the booklet since the artwork for the CD is mostly brown).
Am I just being to picky about the description above or do I have a right to be a bit ticked off. I did get a good buy on the CD ($19) but the shipping was a bit steep and I definitely wouldn't have bid this high if I knew the artwork was a little water damaged + the CD is not mint even though it is kinda close, I would have waited for a copy in better shape, I'm just picky that way.
I'm tempted to leave neutral feedback (negative seems a bit harsh in this instance to me) but don't want to have negative given back in return. What would you guys (and girls) do?
I wouldn't consider a water-damaged insert 'IN GOOD CONDITION'. IMO, you being picky is not the issue. Its the description about the condition is. Just as koogles suggests, contact the seller first and try to work out something.

Have to thanks Oliver (Gichert) for the Pink Cream 69 CD.

Speaking of Sammy is always best live, I think Red Hot! is very good, too. Although, the front cover/insert looks very cheaply done, this will point you to different albums of Sam for you to hunt for. And I still hear "Rock 'N Roll Weekend" in my local classic rock station.

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS for pointing us (well, at least, me) to Blast Beats. Some used CDs there are priced as low as $3!!!

Christian/White Metal? Only have a few and some are not that great like:
CONTAGIOUS - Free Indeed (Read the reviews - terrible voice but the guitar just smokes)
This is band is good enough:
WATCHMEN - Generation
The best that I've heard by far is:
WHITE CROSS (has the Greatest guitarist in Christian rock - Rex Carroll!!!)
ZION - Thunder From The Mountain (very good songs)
and of course
GUARDIAN
You've got mail.

HURRICANE - "Slave To The Thrill" (nude cover)
Well, those are the ones the spring to mind but there's plenty more...I'll return
Don't have that much. I usually don't and haven't paid anything more than $15 (well, one time, for a Vinnie Vincent Remastered Version. Don't know anything yet about collecting rare stuffs then) for a used one. But about that 1st Avenue "Tears and Triumph", saw that still sealed for less than a dollar. Said less than a dollar 'coz it was from the Philippines. Maybe some of you collectors will consider that like a Russian-pressed-Not-for-Resale-Outside-of-Russia kind of CD. But its still a factory-pressed, silver-backed CD. Got a Tindrum "Cool, Calm... " exactly like that. For P15 and that can be, who knows?, 30 cents converted to dollar? BUT I'm not cheapening anyone's collection. Just my thought. PEACE!!!

Don't know if I have a legit point here but a very strict seller on Ebay right now put a Buy-It-Now price of US $30 on a Jailhouse - Alive In A Mad World CD which can be obtained at Amazon for US $ 2.72 (and this is NEW). Moreover, his Def Leppard 1st pressing CDs go for a Buy-It-Now price of $59.95. Well, they were pressed in 1980 and 1981 (as he described it). Reasonable. But wait, :excl: we know that CDs are not yet pressed at that time. Is this concern of mine pointless or what? I'll apologize if this is pointless. You can check-out his Buy-It-Now prices. Seller's name is ibuywebsites.

I'm intrigue about this Lions and Ghosts. Have already heard that Velvet Kiss... album and I would like to have some of your opinion, can they be classified as AOR? Or are they on the New Wave/Gothic side like that of Gene Loves Jezebel?
